It is a nerf but considering the size of the guns it feels a bit silly.

I really appreciate how these buffs and nerds are small and incremental. I’m also pleased to see the Kremlin getting another small nerf. Scharnhorst getting secondaries that can actually own battleships is quite nice also. IJN guns are still hard to explain

Ishizuki is a very strong ship but it is really a long range HE spammer. Ashitaka is strong since they improved its guns. Mutsu, Mikasa I agree with you. Kii is a worse Amagi, for some reason it’s much easier to citadel. Musashi is probably still the strongest tier 9 in the game.

I thought it would be interesting to see what plans we have for light cruisers as the IFHE rework is incoming in 0.9.2. SO what are you going for? Fire/superstructure damage or hull penetration?

They're all the same when it comes to fire resistance but Yamato is more resistant to HE damage.

Brindisi and Venezia are borderline OP. SAP is very effective when you get used to it. They are fast. Their armour is fairly trollish Their smoke is a get out of jail free card for mistakes or to cover a turn.

I never used IFHE on the Hindi as it pens 50mm already. I will demounting IFHE from my Henri.

Well that's a different issue I would probably agree with, CV/DD balance is horrible at the moment. Being the only tier 8 ship in a tier 10 game is extremely rare if not impossible with the match making changes that came a little while ago.

As others have said, one request for as many ships as you like.

On the news page about this Wargaming did mention Rebalancing ships that need it. I fully expect an increase in fire chance for many light cruisers. It will be interesting what happens to the belfast with this. Could they ‘accidently’ nerf it?

You’re probably right. I’ll be in the Des Moines, one of the few that actually received a buff. The gap between T7 and T8 cruisers will be even more painful soon. Finally the Belfast gets an indirect nerf!

They have already done that, have you not noticed? Tier 8 is now a nice tier to play, tier 7 on the other hand.....

He's right. It's just a standard tier 10 economy with a premium camo.

Much higher drag then the Henri 19-20km is about 12s for the Henri and 14.5s for the Goliath.

Which tier 8 cruisers would have faired better? To generate the same result of one citadel plus a few full pens they only need bow armour of 27mm or less and an above water citadel. That is every tier 8 cruiser with the possible exception of Hipper and Eugen that could bounce shells on it's lower belt. The only difference of course is that the Albermarle can heal it back fast if you weren't being focused by 4 ships. Regarding your no armour comment, even DDs regulary arm battleships shells that hit frontally. Of course with DD's the game records a penetration but applies the damage of an overpen.

Chapeyev is though. Kronstadt shouldn’t bother unless it has another cruiser or DD to capatilise.

Balancing 6 guns of a cruiser is something Wargaming have to work out for the Cheshire as well as the Siegfried so hopefully they will balance them well. If IFHE changes go ahead there will be very little advantage to 380mm over 305mm though.

I forgot all about the Nelson, it seems to earn very well but it doesn't uptier that well.

I wouldn’t recommend tier 7 ships after the matchmaking change.

I wold say Russian bias but the angle wasn't great so I'm unsurprised he could get your citadel after overmatching your bow. There was only 1 citadel after all.

Schors has better dpm and manoeuvrability. Better ship for tier in my opinion.

I was talking in general, look at the armoury and premium shop. DDs are almost always the cheapest ship at tier but I do take your point regarding freeXP ships though sample size is of course tiny.

DDs are usually cheaper than cruisers or battleships so I wouldn’t be surprised if this ship ended up being very close to 1 million freeXP. That being said, we all remember how PR looked like a great idea in public test but was released at a much higher cost and became a terrible idea. i suppose the lesson we learn is to not pay any attention to the public test server.
