‘Operation in progress’ when I try to reset captain skills
Miscommunication_dept replied to Miscommunication_dept's topic in General Discussion
Glad it's not just me and that Wargaming are investigating. Hoping for compensation as amany of us are missing the opportunity to get free respecs, 10,000 doubloons should do it! -
Sounds like a great weapon if enemy is blobbing up to share AA, 60 rockets can set them all on fire!
-
As I understand it DE should be added after IFHE. Therefore: 5% firechance + IFHE = 2.5% + DE = 4.5% DE will close to double the firechance of a Harugumo's 100mm guns.
-
I think it is a little misleading to say that as though it is effectively true due to fire resistance the buff exists as a 2% buff on top of the base firechance say 12% for light cruisers. This fire resistance is based on tier so it is a constant. In order for DE to be a 1% increase you would have to first half the base fire chance of the ship before adding this 1 %. This seems more complicated and has the potential for confusing people. Edit for Clarification: Assuming IFHE is not selected.

Thank you. -
Even then you never know in today’s climate.

Just testing in Wowsft. It seems that demolition expert is added before the 50% IFHE fire chance reduction is applied. Was this expected?
-
Might have to do some training room tests if light cruiser vs battleship with and without IFHE. LWM clearly believes IFHE is necessary but I would expect that only with battleships with plenty of 32mm plate. No IFHE is certainly best against Soviet and German battleships as there is not a lot of 32mmplating to hit. French and British battleships would almost certainly be more vulnerable to IFHE than fire. The question then would be what is most effective against ships with a thicker deck like the Japanese and American battleships. I’m a little surprised she didn’t mention that the GK, with its 32mm pen, is now a secondary monster ....
-
IFHE penalty is now so big it has become a choice. Non-IFHE 150mm will still Pen the superstructure. As those with a Smolensk can attest, damage is still fairly reliable there even if it soon half damage due to saturation. This Change is very big for light cruisers. I agree with you that T7 cruisers are the big losers here. 380mm battleships are the next biggest losers but might benefit from reduced fire/ HE damage from light cruisers.

So we should all go to the premium store and buy lots of economic flags?? Suddenly the 2million freeXP price for T10 makes sense. -
I hope Impero is a test for a Roma change and that the smoke will come out of the beer can.

PSA free respec (but you need to activate it)
Miscommunication_dept replied to Verblonde's topic in General Discussion
PSA: Seems to work already in 0.9.1.1. I’ve de specced IFHE in everything but my Harugumo and Kitakaze. Not much time to test this, I’ve been looking at how much 32mm plating I see on the German and Soviet ships I see everywhere and I thought I’d prefer 14% fire chance as opposed to 6% with 32mm pen. -
Noticed have been rather obtuse today. Not usually towards me! If you get killed early why spend 15 mins berating your entire team?

So the "placeholder" rumors were true... the Tier X EU DD "Smaland" will cost 2.000.000 FreeXP...

How close is Massa to Alsace gameplay wise
Miscommunication_dept replied to Captain_Campbell's topic in General Discussion
Massa is better than Alsace, certainly tier for tier but possibly even without taking tiers into account. I don’t really get on with Alsace due to its accuracy and lack of armour. Massa has great secondaries if you spec into them but even if you do not they are useful. Coupled with a fast reload heal and excellent manoeuvrability this ship is very strong. I really enjoy the Vanguard it’s a manoeuvrable ship with accurate guns and great HE but it is more fragile. It’s a good ship but more of a challenge than the Massa. i would add the Lenin to your list if I were you. It’s well armoured with accurate guns and great turret traverse. -
Captain Cunningham Worth 1000 RN tokens AND 1000 Doubloons?
Miscommunication_dept replied to Sir_Sinksalot's topic in General Discussion
I’m still deciding whether to buy Cunningham or not. The talents don’t seem fantastic but I don’t want to look at him in the armoury for 175,000 coal knowing I could have bought him.
