Do we know anything more about aircraft spotting changes! They didn’t look good for AA destroyers.

It looks like it would according to the compensation rules as stated. I wouldn’t spend my money to test the theory though.

Maybe the choice should have been a refund of all crates or no crates. The first bunch of crates will always have the least interesting ships anyway.

Buy hundreds of containers until you get the super rare ships. Then refund all the preceding container purchases. This is wide open to abuse.

In theory you could buy them all singly then return all those that don't give you a ship. I have a funny feeling you wouldn't get away with it...

You purchased doubloons that were then spent. Try refunding the actual crates in the armory section and you should get your doubloons back. Also, It's cheaper to buy crates directly than to purchase doubloons to buy them.

@YabbaCoe You haven't confirmed or denied the shortlist theory. Is there a chance to win all 107 from a Santa crate rather than a rerolled supercontainer?

It’s a very nice ship. It’s radar allows you to surprise other destroyers as they sit in their smoke. That said, 2 million freeXP is a huge chunk. I bought it when I had 4 million but wouldn’t have bought it with my last freeXP. Good seeing you in battle the other day @Yedwy shame the rest of your team didn’t back you up!

I’m personally looking forward to watching them disappear and stop cluttering my mission screen. Even the best of them are not worth the grind anymore or the research bureau cost.

Whatever they are doing will take until Monday. Very strange as the forums are talking about almost nothing else. If there was an honest explanation; where all ships do indeed have a chance of coming from a Santa crates. I am certain they could simply write a forum post. Currently I’m stacking all the flags on my Musashi with its +200% camo mission. I’m earning up to 30,000 freeXP in one game. Even a very poor, 40,000 damage loss, gave me 8,000 freeXP. I earned 2million freeXP in two weeks doing this. Also, over a million credits in almost every game. For me, this is worth it. For many of course it’s not a great deal at all.

I buy containers for the special flags. I treat ships as a bonus my only disappointment comes from camos as I have so many of them. Unfortunately, as with anything RNG, you get good and bad luck. You unfortunately had bad luck this time.

Converting freeXP is really poor value.

What I find puzzling is that I have seen not one screenshot of an unshortlisted ship in a normal gift container. Just one picture like that would debunk this whole thing. I opened all my containers in bundles before this shortlisting was mentioned. Wargaming waiting until Monday to respond means the answer is unlikely to be that the shortlisting theory is wrong. It’s increasingly looking like the theory is correct. If that’s the case then Wargaming have misrepresented what can be contained in a gift container. This would be very Very bad.

Whether it’s true or not, Wargaming needs to do damage control now!

Didn’t Kutozov get boosted range when AFT was changed so it no longer gave extra range for 150mm guns? I’m surprised they didn’t say something beyond their usual ‘We can change it in the future, if we want to’

Actually it doesn't say that. It does say that all containers have a 'slim chance' of granting one of these vessels. It then proceeds to name the long list of ships.

And for this theory to be true it must be absolute. Not one person should receive any other ship until they have all shortlisted ships There are accounts here of people who received other ships for first. The theory is disproven. All we can say is that some ships are more likely to drop than others. This should surprise noone.

He received an Ochakov after having already received many other ships. This alone disproves the shortlist theory. Does anybody here ever critique research papers? it seems not.

People have tried this before and Wargaming banned their account. So I would advise against it.
