Santa containers "rigged": WG Chooses Your Santa Gift Ship

What do you get? It used to be that’s we could sell tier 9s for the princely some of 1 credit. -

It should work on smaller numbers. Say for example I sell my GZ then buy 60 mega containers. I should receive the ship back plus about 8 further GZs giving 13700 doubloons compensation each. Giving about 110,000 doubloons for £156 usual price £310. Plus all the other goodies: hundreds of special flags, coal, freeXP, extra doubloons etc. interesting no? -

Surprised to find that we can no longer sell tier 9 premium ships..... -
Not dead at all but there are so many counters against destroyers. Destroyers are the hardest class to play but can have a huge influence on a games outcome.

Made 400,000 doubloons among other things. I cannot see a downside! -
AA does nothing to the first strike anyway. 110% of zero is still zero.

Rework small Santa gifts to feel more rewarding on Snowflake event

Weren’t they super containers last year? Id prefer those or 200 steel to these little Santa crates. -
@YabbaCoeIn my situation. I have used no camos won at all I have used some special flags but have hundreds of each so plenty. I've got over 600,000 coal 3.3 million freeXP I haven't sold any ships. All the doubloons I have spent in game since 4/12/20 have been on santa crates. I still have more doubloons than I won in the disputed crates. Wargaming still says i need to rollback my account Has anyone had a successful refund yet? EDIT: After looking into it I have found I do not have everything.
-
I do have everything. Is this a stalling tactic so some give up? EDIT: I’m wrong. I used too many flags!
-
No, there is no problem if that is the case. Did anyone really think that getting a Missouri was as likely as getting a California?

In case anyone missed it, Yabbacoe has updated the Santa container announcement:

Roll Back after Refund of Santa Gifts
Miscommunication_dept replied to Skitzo_Sam's topic in General Discussion
Are you sure you need a rollback? The furthest rollback that should be needed is Dec 4th as that's when Santa crates were first sold. Check out the updated post here: -
I received a response today stating they would need to reroll my account before 4/12/20. They say they need to do this as some of the contents were used. I have lots of everything in my account so this is very strange. I have asked them which contents are missing. @YabbaCoe Do I need to make another ticket?

We are all waiting for the same answer. I don't think it's coming. Which is an answer in itself. -
See Wargaming have not confirmed that a shortlist exists. However, One of the community managers in the NA forum repeatedly answered questions about the shortlist with the 'very low chance' line. One thing he never said was that the shortlist does not exist. If the shortlist doesn't exist then Wargaming should not be offering refunds, we should have understood low chances were likely for desirable ships. I think we can safely assume now that a shortlist does exist and we cannot then receive 107 ships from the containers. So why don't Wargaming just admit this if they are already offering compensation? I propose that they are concerned about their description being possibly false advertising and possible legal consequences to this. Then why do they continue to sell santa crates with no description changes? Changing the description could be seen as an admission of false advertising. I just wish they could be clear on this.

Where are you getting this? Rollback only occurs if you cannot payback what you have received when the contents of your crates are removed during a refund. " The refunds will be handled according to the normal procedure – the goods from the containers should still be on your account, otherwise, Customer Support will have to do a roll-back to restore them and process the refund." It's really very clear.

I’ve only ever played 1 game in division. I think I just don’t like people...
-
That’s only true if you do not have the items you won in the crates available on your account. In theory, you have the possibility of being very selective over which transaction you get refunded. Im sure someone, somewhere will do exactly as the OP suggests. They will get all the ships, getting the super rare ships in the last few crates, then refund all preceding crates. I wonder how Wargaming will treat this type of request.

Or they could just give you 1 million doubloons?! Take a refund or leave it.

Krakens are always fun even on a failed carry. If I got the Kraken earlier I would have been able to utilise that Yamamoto superheal.... -
Of course it's possible but why on earth would they do it?
-
even if you received one flag that is no longer on your account, you will get a rollback.
