Florida is the second most accurate battleship (after Champagne) at tier 7. Florida has it's faults but accuracy is certainly not one of them. If you needed 3 salvos to kill an Irian at 4km I assume he was angled?

MVR and the commander skill rework turned me off getting the Stalingrad. I went for Bourgogne and do not regret my choice. Bourgogne is almost like a cruiser in that you’ll use HE and AP. It’s reload booster makes it very dangerous.

Siegfried is a great secondary cruiser but the rework is going to make it very vulnerable to fires. In future, Siegfried will be played as a long range sniper. If you want that, the Slava will be better at it. Paolo Emilio is very capable and fun but in many games you will find it impossible to get a good torp run. Running and gunning works better than you might expect but a game without a Yolo run feels frustrating.

I hadn’t even realised this. Maybe I’ll stay at silver, as if I have a choice lol. Steel rewards are much worse under this system.

Ok then. Georgia beats Pommern with versatility. Pommern is amazing at brawling but not great at range. Georgia can do a bit of sniping but is best at mid range. Go with Georgia.

It's really not a good idea to sit at 24km even in a Thunderer. Even in my Slava I spend little time at distances greater than 18km of my target. Georgia does have better armour , though still not great. Thunderer was THE most accurate battleship until the Champagne (marginally better) and Slava arrived. Thunderer also has eight guns with a better sigma. One of the biggest advantages for the Thunderer over the Georgia is that it is never top tier! All that said, Georgia is a very unique package and there is nothing else like it in the game, bar perhaps the Bourgogne. Both ships are very good, Pommern is also good. Georgia is far more unique than Pommern though so it is the better option.

After several games, I am now happy to suggest Florida if you want a tier 7 ship. If I'm not mistaken, it's the only ship in the game with 12 battleship guns with battlecruiser dispersion. It's armour weakness is not worse than a same tier British or French Battleship. With 21km range you can make an impact even when bottom tier.

Might be worth holding off on the Pommern as the other two are going soon.

I would take Thunderer over Georgia.

I still think the Mainz is the best tier 8 cruiser. It's 15k per salvo , 10 salvo per minute AP is what shines for me. (15K salvo is max, 8k salvo is fairly common.) Ochakov is nice as it's stealth radar and soviet arcs make it very capable of killing a destroyer early on then retreating. I would usually go to a cap, kill the DD while losing half my health then spamming from range for the rest of the game.

My Strasbourg was penetrated!

I bought the Strasbourg already. I want some doubloons and I will get 9500 at the end of the campaign. I get the ship early plus it’s 200% mission for very little outlay as I will receive almost as many doubloons as I would get had I bought them directly. Thats the whaling way!! For the OP, if you play a lot you can do these missions. Just pick them carefully and repeat. For example, choose the missions that will work for all your ships.

Ashitaka has terrible citadel armour but very good guns. The HE problem is common to all non German/Soviet ships at tier 6. It’s not especially strong. It’s just not weak either.

Flamu's main complaint of this ship and of Slava is how they encourage the wrong type of gameplay. I do agree with him with this. That said, If you are aiming for Slava in future you could forego the Champagne. They have similar playstyles but the Slava is better tier for tier. If you want an accurate tier 8 battleship, you could go for the Lenin I believe it is still the second most accurate battleship after the Champagne and has a lot more going for it.

It's not overpowered so I'm sure it will be back. Unfortuantely, It could be tomorrow or 6 months from now.

You seem to imply that they will refund things you spent real money on. You’ve never asked them, have you?

That’s my current plan. 35% secondary dispersion is not worth 4 points at least with this build you benefit from your increased secondary range whenever a ship is within 12.5km. 35% dispersion buff needs to become 50% or become a 2 point skill

I predict that Wargaming will buff all tech tree German ship’s secondaries. They will say that the premiums continue to perform well so don’t need a buff.
