thunderer all day. it has more armor, and conkek’s cloak system, 8 very accurate 457s that have excellent AP and HE, and can adapt to situations, go invisible to close in on a cruiser and colonise it, or long range salt bombardment on Kremlins. yoshino is long range HE spammer with long range torps, but has the armor thickness of a zao with Yamato sized cit, with little flexibility for much else other then long range spam. Also as others said, friendly fire with torps are a massive problem as well. While it features improved accuracy, it’s still not reliable enough to use AP on side on cruisers, and it’s AP is closer in performance to CA then BB. In a straight DPM gunfight however vs other CC(super cruisers) yoshino does beat them since it has a faster reload, and better accuracy over all ranges means more likely to land blows. The only benefit I feel is the 50mm HE pen and greater alpha per shell, otherwise you are better off with zao or HIV I admit I have nearly torped multiple green boats, and sometimes actually hit them, several times. but on the other hand, excellent area denial tool and idiot filter. First game in her I torped a shima that I had no idea was there when I was targeting a Missouri

I’d say it also depends if the boat “clicks” or not, which means if you are crap in Georgia But brilliant in thunderer you are going to probably earn more on average with thunderer also can anyone here confirm if Georgia with the usn plotting room mod is more accurate then Thunderer? -

Quick bump. they did mention that they are going to change to whole of 2020, so missions expire on December. The alternative is to make it coal, freexp or something only, since it will still allow acquiring them over time, without having to reset lines. -

my suggestions and feedback after playing around and reviewing past tests (I only got an invite in time for test 3 only) 3 states for a sub: fully surfaced, periscope and fully submerged. Surface you move at full speed, 30 knots ish. periscope it goes down to 28 knots fully submerged you move the slowest, at around 25 knots. While on surface you have detection range similar to a average same tier DD, can be Radared and hydroed. and can spot and relay targets like a DD as well. Battery charges while on surface Deck guns can be used if available as secondaries, but can be blapped out of existence if you are not careful. Can shoot torps, but with a significant dispersion penalty, and cannot use pings. pirescope depth Concealment betters 50 % better then a average same tier DD. Sub can still spot targets and red boats get a spotted icon as well, but you are unable to relay that information to allied ships, which means that they only show up on minimap. Should help in DD anti sub warfare from being constantly spotted and targetable all the time. Can be hydroed, but Radar will only show it at half of it’s listed range. Torps shot here have minimal dispersion penalty. fully submerged you cant really be spotted apart from hydro, but you are effectively blind and have to depend on the hydrophone in this test to get the location of the ships, or you can do a general sonar ping to reveal location of ships at the cost of potentially revealing your own position for a short duration.The other option is that if a ship is using hydro, it will also reveal its own location to you. You can fire torps at other subs at this depth. Energy is consumed when pinging targets and being at periscope depth or submerged, but it won’t force a surfacing when energy runs out, instead it gives a massive speed penalty and increased “noise” which makes it more likely for anti sub vessels to find you from further away. sub vs surface targets feedback: remove the dumb 2 pings=ignore all torp protection. It is going to give all BB boats another reason to kemp island, then get killed anyway without contributing anything. Also remove homing torps and give it to those which actually had them(German u-boats?) or have 2 torp sets which can be swapped mid battle: a fast dumb fire one with good damage, or a slower homing on with less damage, with needing to ping a boat to lock it on. The other option is to have “one turn” torps as a option, so a sub can fire torps at boats without needing to point the nose in the right direction. for anti sub warfare I’d say do this: The slower the sub speed, the harder it is for a anti sub capable boat to locate It and more likely to lose track of it, similar to real life sub tactics. Also deeper they are, the harder it is to detect them as well + more time to evade depth charges. Conversely, the subs own hydrophone would also have issues locating slower moving ships and at deeper depths. Also if possible make all ships which did carry depth charges anti sub capable, even if it is more of an afterthought. sub consumables and tools: all subs have the crash dive consumable, which makes them go into fully submerged significantly faster from surfaces or periscope depth. U-boats with snorkels have a toggleable “snorkel” mode when in periscope depth which allows recharging of batteries, but will generate “noise” which again makes it more locatable from further out. edit: also increase battle size to 20v20, since 12v12 is becoming too small to fit in all of the boats. -

The main advantage of FP skill is that most HE spammers fire at the superstructure, without FP there is a good chance u get 2 fires due to that, having FP means they can only really get one on superstructure , which is effectively halving the damage

Well, thunderer is quite squishy, also shells move slower vs slava. Also thunderer gets more accurate as she closes, last time I checked, slava does the opposite. -

It’s like the rules of what to shoot at has been inverted 2014: BBs fire AP at everything, cruisers and DDs fire HE at everything. All is well 2019: BBs fire HE at everything, cruisers and DDs fire AP at everything, Even if it is not effective im I missing something? -
