If you are not getting cits on Yamato for some reason, then I can say either not enough penetration or the engines/ammo is not where you aimed, or the armor is thick enough to stop it. Then again I have heard that it is easier to cit one through the “cheek” under its 1st turret, or through the back turret. Otherwise the citadel on one from what can tell from the viewer is enormous+above water. Richelieu prob has underwater citidel like all other bbs spare for Yamato, something which makes it harder to cit at that close ranges. -
I need virgin game devs(which I don’t have) to sacrifice to RNG, so his highness as doomed me to endless over pens even on flat broadsides(bloody hell, I’m gonna start to turn to HE spammer degenerate if this continues) only thing you cannot overpen with is he shells and torps.

Farm dmg and salt with ijn dds(or whatever that has long torp range+Stealth) is very effective cause lots of straight liners around, is what I have heard from my friend.

Well if there are any t8 cruisers they are either camping behind island HE spamming me to death, being dead, or thinking cause I’m t6 then it means they can show full broadside to me in while bowtanking a scarnhost off to the right. at least that is my very limited experience so far of them -

I still need to deal with t6mm, so still don’t need to worry about dealing with Stalinium armor yet. However fuso can lolpen all cruisers from the bow in her mm range, the thing preventing her doing so is her being more shotgun. -

Lolpenning a cruiser through the bow/stern is more reliable at killing them then broadside ones in my experience, provided that dispersion doesn’t screw you. Or shoot further away(not recommended) so that the shell hits at a larger angle. -
Is there a link between in game boosted RN bb HE and real life RN BB shells? Just wondering.(totally not because I got all of my aa guns obliterated from a single volley of HE from ome of them)

So tdlr, for WWl era ships in wow, it makes some sense, anything later it doesn’t, assuming they phase out its production. That said did they still have it available? even a toned down version of it? I presume it’s the case in terms of hood, since it did blow up from a magazine detonation. Sorry if I got it wrong, I cannot find any reliable info on what shells the hood was carrying at that time. -

So here’s what happened: Potatoing about in my fuso in a battle, aready at half hp. pespi can shows up behind me, and fires AP at me. me: your puny guns won’t hurt nipp- fusou: FUKO DA WA (translated: detonation) me : wat? sits there trying to comprehend what just happened, then remembered about this scene form the how it works vid(modules): I know that the magazines for most ships are somewhere underneath the turrets, but this shows where exactly are they On a fusou. probably overthinking it, But me randomly blowing up cause rng seems to be slightly more often then before. Also I never run the magazine mod or carry flags that stop me from blowing up. And the guy who killed me had a decent hit rate with the Pensacola as well, so he knows how to aim, unlike me

I have just used up my last batch of flags after the said event. Yea I know on how detonate works, remember I did watch the how it works vids as well. More like “stop fuso abuse” then buff BBs. at least show us how to citadel German steel would be better imo. -
U mad? All RN ships should need to have tea consumable that auto activates during tea time.

If it is something like a shootable permanent radar module that gives a permanent radar effect, then it can be thought about. Currently DFAA consumable can technically be disabled if you blow out all of the aa guns. hydro is technically sonar, so it’s internal based.

Its technically not aimhack, the auto lock-on system part of it is borked.

I think it is more to do with how it is actually fired, with volley fire you double click it, that can throw off the aim of an entire volley, and 1mm difference can mean the difference between them going boom or getting 5 sodding overpens. sequential fire you can hold the mouse steady/correct lead each time the shell leaves the barrel, but if you have unsteady hands it can cause a problem. Also my limited testing also showed that there is mabye some form of a lock on bug, managed to get at least one citadel hits in every game in the fuso, one of which on a German steel derptiz(sailing full broadside to the entire team for a extended period of time), something which I have not done since Kongo, while before i be lucky to even get a shell to actually do pen damage,

Just looking for some additional tips on aiming on specific parts of the ship to gain the most benifit(I can calculate lead aready). Had a Helena run into a island, showing full broadside, I aimed at it, fired and got 5 bloody overpens.(fuso) And on the other hand, deleted a New Orleans who is bow in to me.(fuso) Where do you guys usually aim at to deal as much damage as possible? Currrently from my experience(t6 mm as of now) bow in or semi angled (more then 45 degrees) cruisers yields more reliable damage than even broadside ones, vs BBs pretty much all over the place,

Huh, very interesting, since I cant even nail a NO citidal even at point blank range, will try locking and delocking a target manually, and also some testing in the range slso, if I’m correct, if it is properly locked on, the shell grouping should be a lot tighter right?

*looks at fuso from kantai collection* *looks at my luck so far* yeaaaaaaaa................ I did once, but that was when I’m still in kongo, and nailed a barayn in its citadel, but that was from 20km away so I say plunging fire did its part. -
Devs think not enough Russian bias for ship :P jokes aside they said that they saw the stats on the Moskva is low(although it is mostly because it is a hard to play battleship sized cruiser) so they try to improve it into a bow on fighter according to them, will see if I can find patch notes for it later. edit: found it. Look under balance changes tab: https://worldofwarships.eu/en/news/updates/update-076-night-battle/ although it does mean that now stalinuim beats nippon steel(Yamato cannot lolpen it on the lower bow area, but still can do so on the upper bow area)

Isn't BB's AP overpen a little bit to much for the DD's?

I think why this happens is when the shell detonates inside the armor on the other side of the shipp, confusing the game as it is not sure it’s a overpen or a pen. It in fact can be more comman then you think, since I think that in game, the 410mm Nippon steel folded over 9000 found on the Yamato has the “same” effective thickness in terms of hitbox as in the 10mm found on the t1 gunboats, only difference being how much theoretical resistance the armor applies to said shell. as for bb overpens I say the current system, apart from said bugs make sense. Overpenning a dd won’t deal much, but that cannot be said the same of whatever is in the way of the shell. If a shell has to travel the entire length of a dd, then it should slow down enough to blow up inside, same goes to how underwater pens do as well. (although I’m half expecting the dd instantly get vaporised if the said bb shell goes off inside them, especially if you are hit by a 46cm one) -

im pretty surprised no one has mentioned NC’s score. 666.......is Satan trying to tell us something? One thing I can agree on as someone who has reached t6(fuso) recently, just got shat on by mm by tossing me into a all t8 match +cv, just to make it worse every other bb (oddly enough compared to others here, both sides) stayed roughly at spawn area, while all cruisers and dds are forced to brawl with each other while doging incoming shells. Only barely won the game cause I actually followed a group of DD and CAs to point A while the other capping side had basically nothing, so managed to cause a lot of damage. Did die eventually cause t6 vs t8 + closer range vs every other target, but the fire I managed to draw allowed the group that I was following to safely make it to B. reward for my life? 3rd from the bottom, along with a dd and a cruiser who have gotten killed early -
Is the Aiming Systems Modification 1 worth/actually do anything?

Found some rather conflicting opinions on them, on if Aiming Systems Modification 1 is worth it. Did some testing in the fuso and had my brother do so with his pespi in firing range for myself(doing this by trying to clip the each other ship’s sides ) seems to have no/unnoticeable difference whatsoever having it or not having it. So I’m here to ask you guys wheather it actually does anything, and if it is actually worth having it or I should ditch it and go for AA guns instead. -

God damm it I cannot maths so ships with more shotgun like like fuso it’s gonna benifit, but other ships may benifit from aa/secondaries, but if the other 2 stats are not worth it then this is a good mod to fall back on. that said I don’t see any difference between having it on and not having it on in my testing, so may remove it for AA guns instead.
