This is a game, yes? game is suppose to be fun, yes? How much fun is it to get treated like dirt, ordered about like a servant, and yelled at in chat constantly for not pleasing everyone? I play CV, I do not play ranked, I play random, and in the last week in every single game I get spammed by "provide AA support" and told how I suck because I do not scout for the respective party, and during this I am trying my best to provide for everyone but I am only a single person. I am on the verge of quitting this whole game because I resent being treated as I have been. I prefer to place my money where I am appreciated for the efforts I do rather than hated because I play CV or because I do not do enough to pander to everyone all the time. WG does not listen, they never do, they rather just shrug it off and pretend the toxic level is not breaking players. But in the end this is a game, and if the toxic level can not be curbed as in other games League of Legend for example the reports matters and your told the player been punished for being toxic then I rather play LOL than continue here.

I dunno about it never happening, I remember a time when CV could one shot dd's on regular basis, nowadays they barely manage to kill a dd in 5-8 shots. So it could happen that either torp damage be lowers to being as meaningless as torps on cv's damage or some other countermeasure. OR..... give every ship the automatic sub defence that cv's have, now THAT would be interesting and sub killing(j/k) ;) -

I been wondering about protection from the target seeking torpedoes. They are guided by ping, yes, but when a sub can ping 3 or 4 times in 15 seconds and you can only "clear" one of those, then what? It would be recomended that the anti-target seeking decoys be implemented as well as a counter to the allowans of subs to ping that many times OR make it so subs can only ping once per a LONG cd. There was counter measures , and it would be awesome to introduce those. The German T5 torpedoes were countered by Allied introduction of the Foxer noise maker.[3] -
I am alright with joke being on me, I can laugh at me and with me as well. the fun part, imagine being a guy on the deck of that DD seeing a bomb skipping above you I wonder what would go through that guys head.... Oh look a shiny bomb across the skies.
-
never, and I hope it never does ;) except the concept of the game was to make it as authentic as possible....

according to wiki, EMP was discovered in the 1950's so, could come to game but that would make the game more Star Wars than anything, instead they should concentrate on maps and perhaps more AI (PvE) games thats challenging, I could see historical battles upcoming
-
that was according to wikipedia https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Skip_bombing
-
WUT? Stun bombs, seriously? who in WG thought it would be...hmmm...well... you COULD have used a EMP, but was that even discovered then? and would not an EMP travel across a LOT of water in effect?
-
until today, I would say skipping bombs was a fake idea, but I googled it, and it is there.... why would anyone ever come up with an idea like that, its not like the ocean is going to be level or plain and you can skip bombs that weight **** kg on the surface. I would say the waves and difference in height etc due to waves would make it very difficult to hit something but as they say in the wikipedia, the skipping was ment to be so close, and so fast that it would be almost french kissing the sailors in the other ship. also the aircrafts was suppose to be so fast they could avoid AA, anyone at WG tried flying the aircrafts in a Sarov(or whatever its name is) I could get out and run past them. but I guess its all just for laughs and giggles, and it make me giggle to see the DD not once, not twice but 3 times get overflown by skipping bombs. whats next? flying torpedoes? guided by the gas from the engines , oh wait, thats Star Trek..... oh yeah and the reticule is a "guide" then add rng and other stuff then the bombs does not really skip where the lines was so its basically a guessing game.
-
thats so true, its like flying a kite in space, makes about as much sense
-
so I tried the russian cv and their skipping bombs.... fact...the bomb never rises more than about 5 metres then how come on more than one occasion I see the bombs fly OVER the dd's on second or third "skip" did they suddenly make dd that is only 4 meter tall?

actually, if you want realism, the way torps worked was after the pitch of the engine it was targetted so once fired unless the engine changed pitch the torps went home. BUT that required 3 or more working "radars". to pinpoint the origin of the engine An acoustic torpedo is a torpedo that aims itself by listening for characteristic sounds of its target or by searching for it using sonar (acoustic homing). However...good news, and I am sure WG will implement them (in years to come).... Foxer was the code name for a British built acoustic decoy used to confuse German acoustic homing torpedoes -
from your keys to the brains of the player I encounter in random. you can't believe the amount of "I need intelligence data" and pings where to scout I get each game.

new design is basically glorified scouts then, that with great luck I want a emote in game, when they say "provide anti air" to return and say "provide ship coverage" when ships from 20-30km away (half the map (sometimes)) is able to do 2-3 shot and kill the cv not caring at all about the 5-6 ships between. if in a good group that knows what they do and everything is clicking then yes, CV is fun... But with the random being filled with island hugging BS and DD that expects the CV to spot for them wasting their squadrons in futile efforts to spot ships, then its no fun, then might as well be boarding an balloon and sit there wait to be shot down.
