  1. There is a bit of a problem with that, they are the same planes on Tone at T8 as Ise at T6. Which means they are not so impressive. And Tone is a cruiser, also at T8 less tanky/boomboom than Ise at T6. At twice the price... well, not really worth it IMO. I'd go for Chakalakalov and 2x Paolo Yolo.
  2. I'm sad we cannot team up 2x Ise and Chakalakalalov.
  3. Agree, it is so baaaaadddd it is good... but others will not feel the same...
  4. Ise, no doubt about it. No more troll thing than an Ise division. OK maybe 2x Ise and a CV... beats even a triple Smolly div....

They could be made much better, but the basic thing with CVs is that they are "in the air" and as such übermighty, as in real life. As such, the problem will always be that ships shoot shells, and CVs launch planes... that shoot shells. Subs are "fixable" IMO but the homing has to go. At least they are in the water, same as ships. In principle there should not be a problem making them balanced. Fun for everyone remains to be seen. Some people (like me) can't play DDs any good either (I am sort of potato up to T6 but after that... well...). Doesn't mean I do not find them fun though, just more teammates hating me...
  6. Just found @LewkSkyHackerr in a HSF lolibote with grandes cojones on the most realistic map ever. Could not do much to prevent our team ROFLSTOMP the enemy. Holy macramoni guys... All the islands had sunk and the enemy soon went after those islands. Also, even when I had the latest greatest Russian Balanzkgrad Funpolice Skypiggy, could not keep up...

I've seen it. His stuff is very good for potaters. But even I can poke (large...) holes in his theories. Anyone that is reasonably savvy with CVs is gonna ROFLOL.

I knew YOU were... Unfortunately I am probably more weird, but not that good.

There's a LOT of stuff I shouldn't do... play CV (FDR...), Thunderer, Smolensk... Also no doubt I'll go on and play subs. Yes I am filthy, ask my ex-GFs...

I think most of what the subs have right now, is still some form of testing. On the test server, all you got was (after everybody got them) subs, subs and again subs. There is no way WeeGee is gonna get effective data from that. As such, I think lots of stuff will change. And it better, because some of it is really @#^@#%

But, you know as well as I do, they will do it anyway. We even have 2 CVs in CB now. I hope they make them good, but there is always other games if they do not.

LOL. I think it is definitely possible to find a balance, however if started with crap mechanics then you end up with crap balance. AKA stuff that is dumb can never be made smarter, and so on. Some BS mechanics need to go. And yes that includes this one, and homing torpedoes.

Will get when on sale or coupon (being Dutch, I cannot bear to pay full price). And no, gambling crates will not suffice.

What Were Your Greatest Gaming Achievements Today ?

Speed is overrated.... as are CVs (even Russian) and T9s.

Yes, also with less speed and the "mediocre homing" they were bearable/funny. What they did now is FF it up.

Because I like slow, lumbering floating fortresses... US BBs are my standard regrind for RP. But yes, the "speed" it has is gonna be a problem with subs. Also for other BBs. IMO subs are just too fast and nothing shows that better than good old Lolorado.

Taking kill stealing to a new level

Nah that would be worse than stupid. Reasons why it is stupid: - he is risking his XP, to get a ship dead that is already dead; - he wasted his (or his teammates) torps, which would be better spent on another red. As @Pukovnik7 stated:

They START doing that, well probably - but good luck in a Lolorado. But have fun with that, I'm out.

Taking kill stealing to a new level

Well yes, but if teammate already has torps, to block the torps and kill him yourself... is stupid.

Taking kill stealing to a new level

Well, while I do believe that there are those that think fighting for the same piece of meat is good, but I do not think that those same peeps are smart enough to predict if you are grinding a mission... ...and it is very doubtful that they can even tell WHAT mission. It's just stupid greed.

There IS just one point, or actually two: - speed of the subs themselves; - reaction time vs speed/homing of torps. Third one could be DCP. But that is a a non-issue. Pinging makes the torps go for the citadel. How would you think about it if ships had something similar, you'd not get fire, but if you didn't use DCP they would AP your citadel? And then they'd just reload after you used it, and do it again. Your DCP will be on cooldown. Well, good luck on that.

This is all what matters: reaction time. It doesn't matter how much time is before that. Like a Shima with 20km torps. So, you have now started "shotgunning", just because you can? And this doesn't give you a clue about being broken? This is the point: when submerged, subs should not outrun anything at all. DCP against HE means, you put out the fire AND are invulnerable for 30 seconds. After that, he has a CHANCE to set you on fire again. But you can also go dark (unspotted), retreat behind island et cetera. So, that HE-spammer has to spot you, hit you, and then be lucky to set a fire again. And you can even shoot back, because of gun bloom. Now tell me, if a ping gets DCP'd, how much time before the next one is pinged on the citadel? And how do you get unspotted? The sub is faster than some BBs. He can also close in without risk. If there is no DD nearby (and how fast are they dead... usually 5 minutes...), wel, then the BB or cruiser is usually FFd. There's the thing. If you can outrun them... and then do what? BBs will not outrun subs, unless that BB happens to be already at speed. And they will certainly not outrun the torps. You do not need 30kts to sneak up on a camper. Also you do not need superfast, pinged homing torps. What you need is good stealth, and a sense of what he'l do: stay, go FWD or go RWD. That will make you able to hit a torp. It would actually require some skill. And yeah, then they should be hitting HARD. I'm not against subs. Just against this stupid-easy-clubber-mode. No ship can defend against that. No. I have tried the "new style" a few times, but I'm not gonna play that crap. If you use DCP at the first, then you will certainly eat the second. And the third. And so on. Because there wil be no other DCP before you are dead. Torps and citadel hits kill your BB faster than HE. Ah finally you start to see some light. Is this going too far, even for you?

    Submarine feedback v 2.0 (Tier X only)

In a previous iteration, they could even bomb DDs... (yes and our own too). They should have kept it that way, was handy against campers... including own team
