    Pobeda vs T10

...it never is beyond the CV-drivers control. AA is mostly avoidable. Also, you can already drop outside 6 km. Maybe a bit harder to hit. Risk vs reward.... sort of. Because your victim risks his ship, you just risk the delivery boys. That said, it definitely is not the strongest CV.

True. Also, I only go after DDs if they are too much of a nuisance. With radar cruisers galore and all that, there are a lot of ships better equipped to deal with them. But if I have to, I'll kill them all. Aligning my own stars... but true, Pobeda, not so much.

Nah that will not really work indeed... however FDR has the same problem, sort of. What I do is I wait/chase them until they are parallel to an island. Then they cannot turn AWAY, and they can only run/brake or steer into the torps. And then I drop them from ~30 degrees behind... With FDR, it drops lots of ammo but when I bomb a DD, result: 1 incapacitation...

The question is, how many XP did he get and did he like it. Were you having fun?

Seen DDS do that, some cruisers do it as well. Sometimes they even get blapped while doing that. What helps is just cross-torping them. But (obviously) I do not take the difficult targets (still need GitGud...). They usually do not even see it coming, or they do not expect it to happen. For example a DD that thinks he is unspotted, and follows an island coast, yes they get torped... My prefered ones: islandhuggers that leave juuuust a bit too much room between them and the island.

Haven't found many of those yet. Are those the same that can think and breathe at the same time? Must be the same that use WASD hax against DDs, the b*stards.

no more stat shaming? [WR < 46% = plain bad]

That being true, these are the kind of players WeeGee is most interested in. They'll not have the patience (or the abilities...) to grind a ship, so they'll just buy it. They lose camo, credits, flags... so they buy it. The more potaters in the game, the better the earnings. And somewhat related: if there were no potaters, what would you then harvest? After all a 35%WR tater in a cruiser... yum yum.. here comes my kraken. I can smell it already....

Well, boring or not boring is not for you to decide - if they are boring nobody will play them, they'll not buy stuff for them, and it will be WeeGees investment problem. People might find them intriguing, somehow. Or maybe there are lots of old farts wanting to play a "quieted down version of sea-wars", whatever. You never know, WeeGee might open up a whole new "market" and they might become a great success. Just because YOU find them boring, other people might like it. Same as weeb-camo and space stuff. I think OMG WTF but... it is just a certain group that WeeGee is serving their favourite dish. And if, as a result of that, the ones WE like to play get mashed, we no longer like to play it, we just have to find something else. And as we do that, WeeGee might rethink. Or not.

Well, nobody can see any dates, so this is a well-needed add on. Nevertheless seems to me you know quite well how they work. Now THAT I can wholeheartedly support. To me it is more like, they swung a bat at a target, hit the target, smashed the whole building too, and called it a success. I'd say the precision of the weapon "is in need of some corrective measures". Which we are still waiting for, after 3 years indeed. Which should be more ready for balance. Main difference: the actual perp is the one delivering the goodies, so should be punishable. While with CVs you are always stuck with the fact that the perp sends his minions to deliver the goodies. But I have confidence in WeeGees ability FF-ing that up, too. Just limited hope of it turning out OK.

no more stat shaming? [WR < 46% = plain bad]

Pretty good IMO with that kind of handicap. But I think there is no way of knowing that when you meet him in game. It is still better than lots of PTW players that have literally no FF-ing idea (and they buy T9 premiums LMAO). You probably remember the fest when they put "Derpitz" on sale.. Also, the average is more like 46%, maybe lower. While the calculated average is of course 50% by definition (half the games are lost, because it is 12 vs 12), the thing is that we have a bunch of long-time players who average more wins. And also usually put in A LOT of games. Which means that the average expected WR for the common player gets lower. Respect to your buddy mate. I also think he'll manage better in some ships than others. And let's not forget this is a GAME so people should have fun, no matter what their limits are. Randoms is just what it is - stats only become important in CB and all that competitive stuff, IMO.

Correct. If you can't see where to delete ships best or troll around, the next best thing is just to farm them as much as possible. That last part (I assume) is a bit of a ...

I agree with that. The new style is (to me) much more likable. RTS looked more like "Red Alert 3" (Kirov reporting...) You still can harass the other CV. Depending on which one you have and which he has. I do it very often, usually it sends him into a panic and then he starts making mistakes, or I ff-up his play. Also, WeeGee does offer some sort of "CV-nasty-build" where you can spec into the fighters. However this does not really work because the other CV can just avoid running into those fighters, and also that captain build costs a lot of points so you'll lose (too much) effectivity in other areas. I think it is incomparable. The only thing that is the same, is the CV-driver needs to know which areas he should attack/defend/spot. Well, a simple idea would be this: if a ship is stationary, half the men go on tea-break and the other half just crowds the sundeck. When on the move the AA-posts are fully manned & ät action stations"... I bet THAT would help... Yes some games are like that indeed.

Yup. Exactly that. As long as the other CV didn't bother you, it was easy-peasy. Some times they even "struck a deal"... a matter of which one could farm harder. I know. However the interface was buggy. I never could get it to the targets that I wanted, because "glitch galore". Granted I didn't have a fat PC (and super-fast internet...) then, as I have now. But for me it sucked. I like the "new style" of play much better. The problem was/is, the new mechanics have solved some problems but introduced new ones. Yes. actually there was not as much a skill gap, but more like some understood how to nullify the other CV and others did not. So it was actually one CV against the other. What they did now, is take that away and NOW there is an actual skill gap. The skill gap is, some CV-drivers know how to avoid AA altogether and some just die in droves. CV-drivers now do not have to deal with tater-CVs anymore, WeeGee has done it for them.

Well, you'll be amazed to see that they still play those other classes. And usually they do WORSE numbers in CVs than in those other classes. Because, they cannot aim, they lose all planes to AA (yes really) and get blapped. Note: same player that shows full broadside when in Tirpitz, to get their torps off.... ...and they did BETTER in RTS CV.

What they should do is give DDs (and some cruisers?) sonar, and make it so that a sub gets detected automatically from a certain range. As in, add depth to the equasion - make it a "factor 50" so at 40 m depth it would be like being proxy-spotted at 2km. Would be much more simple like that, to get unspotted totally they'd have to go deeper than 40m. Which they can do. But then there would be the DD who could spot them anyway (sonar range being 3km?) so they'd have to dive below 60m. Something like that.

no more stat shaming? [WR < 46% = plain bad]

Yes I have seen worse. Much much worse. But... they also can be REALLY GOOD LOL GAMES. Two weeks ago we had such games, me and my divvy (another 50-%-er) were really amazed. We killed 3,4 ships each. Sometimes more... I was in a slow, fat US BB... and we still managed to lose. Sometimes we lost HARD and FAST. Mostly we won, though. When we lost it was usually because we had no caps at all, or the team died faster than we could kill the reds. Usually when we lost were were the last two... and were mowed down by 4-5-6 ships. Sometimes though.. it was hilarious... Really funny stuff happened... as in... you try to wear down 3 BBs at ~12-15km, from behind a rock, jinxing backward/fwd, and THEN you get overtaken by not ONE but TWO Leanders... you see them turn broadside to launch their torps.. BLAPPP (x2) And that also happened vice-versa.... We also got called Sealclubbers... (was regrinding Wyoming for RP) and then my mate says "wanna know the real secret to sealclubbing", the reds go yeah yeah do tell, he says "the seals are not supposed to be enjoying it". LMAOOOOOOOO

Yes they will, depending which one of them gets himself blapped. Or at least FFs it up and gets his position noticed... . Then again, this might (if he doesn't get blapped outright) mean he draws 3Dds to him, which are then useless DDs, so... well.. Even between really bad CVs there are differences.

US BB's. Vermont or Montana Line... or None?

I have it... it is not because DDs (I shoot them anyway whatever I have loaded) but handy because of bow-tanking Musashis & Ruskis... .make them burn.

More like, 7 out of 10. Once the team discovers the enemy CV is dead they usually go nuts. Sometimes I wonder if it is effective to kill the enemy CV. Your teams brain may be in it.
