Haven't tried the Eagle yet? Worst thing: they named a Brit CV "Eagle". LMAO.

I'd have deleted the BBs if it was not for you popping up there, LOL. Well played, my team sucked and all ran to C (which they usually do but this time extremely so). The plane loss doesn't matter, it was more the smart positioning why I could not get you. Close to the islands and just far enough that I could not drop torps between. Very smart. -

Today I saw @Cyclops_ but (again) my team was kinda crap. I dropped one on the fat BB behind him but even that went nowhere. My SkyPiggy got shot as well, his teammate in the Cossack spotted me, GG! -
CVs do not get much spotting damage, as far as I know it is twice as little as a DD. . Another thing, once the ship spotted by your CV shoots they become spotted by everybody else & you stop getting spotting damage. But yes I would like spotting removed as well. CV spotting is crap and too much troll. I also do not understand why the "fighters" are called that. They are useless for protecting your team (they only attack when the other CV is an idiot and flies straight through, and even then...) and should be called "spotters". Even if I do play the things - remove the spotting, or at least severely limit it!

Found @mcboernester today sailing some French Baguette. Well I had an over-baked SuperCroissant with me, he did quite well but could not save his potat team. -
This is true, but if you are in a DD, the average CV-player will not want you because: - you are a fast and agile target, a fat BB is much easier to hit; - you do not deliver much damage to him, even if he kills you... - he sees you only at the last moment (if you shut down the AA), so he has to turn around and find you again; - you might smoke up... or be VERY fast... - generally: you are a c scrawny, tiny, nasty target... he will not want to spend much time on you. The smarter CV player WILL try to kill you, as he knows that DDs are important for the win. If you can kill all enemy DDs, basically it leaves them blind. But if they still have a CV, not so much. So he will not be THAT much interested to kill you, unless you are a danger. The UNICUM... well yeah he'll just finish you. But he will kill anything. So this is not your fault actually and not much you can do, except make it harder - it might save a teammate.

Do RNGesus cater to noobs?

Might... however there is no way he can know where I'll dodge and how much I slow down... and when they end up last on their team I assume he was not their best player. -

Well, can I ask something about that? There is this thing, too: you see a T10 cruiser shoot at your T8 DD... so you avoid... turn and brake immediately. But.. well.. And while you SURE avoided the spot where he SHOULD HAVE aimed... he now hits you FULL BLAP. You had this experience too? -

At 14k battles you should know: send RNGesus lots of VIRGIN sheep. Trust me, it works. For the sheep, that is... -
Well, at least I got to bomb and shoot the sucker when I was playing Mino. Mind it didn't kill him...
-
We do not disagree, in fact. I get it that he is probably much better than the other. But even that doesn't matter, really. If 2 same CVs start whacking each other, the one that started it usually wins, if they both keep at it. Best the other one can do is kill the starter with his last flight after he is dead. Might be so that Flambass actually managed to get his planes through, and the other guy did not. But I cannot imagine that... it is so easy... so, I guessed: then he sucked. Cause he could have done it. Flambass probably sucks too, as a CV player - but he saw what he had to do and the other guy did not. And he should have, or make his team do it. In 12 vs 12, the damage of the CV is somewhat balanced. He cannot kill all and everything as there are 12 (well, 11...) targets. So, you take the fattest ones. In 4 vs 4, the other CV is the only one that can guaranteed threaten you - so he needs to die first. And then you can just farm what is left. If the red CV is oblivious... well, good...
-
It is not a matter of being a "good Cv captain" (because indeed he is not). However his strategic insight in the game is what makes him good. In any ship. Because he sucked? Nahkimov is a CV-spam-thing. Consider it like putting two Minotaurs on Ocean in a training battle. No engines, no rudder, broadside to one another at 12k or so. The first one to shoot the other one, is the one that wins unless he is a moron. Just keep on dumping. The other one should have run, made Flambass miss two or three shots and attacked him. Then he'd have won the dump-on-the-other-CV fight.

If a shell hits then it does not matter of the sender is N00b. And yes T8Bb can pen your front and hit citadel. Even some T7 can (Colorado) although you never meet them. It is just RNG if it hits that way. In this game, it does not matter so much if you are good - it matters more if you are lucky. I played Smolensk and got 15 fires, and crap damage. That was because those players immediately used DCP, they put out the fire immediately. I keep shooting them, but DCP effect lasts 30 seconds, and then they get away. Yes fire, no damage. So I chase them, I try to get more fires. But now the CV has hit him and he already has 3 fires... Result: yes I hit him, but my fire is put out, not much damage, and after he is already totally on fire and I cannot make anymore extra. One more that happens: So: I make a fire o a fat BB, he uses DCP - fire is out. Eh bleghhh duh meh crap, as usual. Then I shoot again after 30 seconds, I now have TWO fires and they will burn full length. YIPPEEEE But oh wait... then comes my teammate in DD, he kills him K-BOOM DEAD. And... No fire-damage for me...

I can play them with one hand and never had this happen.

One? just one?

Slightly off topic, I got Condé because two reasons: - Henry is nerfed to hell anyway so.... I can use my full-fat Henry captain; - ...and I still do not have a Des Moines It's really simple to play... done only one game so far... it was an Epicenter map. Easy win, but not much damage. The problem: Have done it. Also, we did at one time (submarine test server) join up in 3 CVs. Why? Because we could (WeeGee forgot to add "just one CV limit"). And yes that ended as expected... But when we took a bunch of CVs in training room, well that was actually quite interesting. Main thing, the one that got "ganged up on" died pretty quickly. A matter of dog-eat-dog.
-
We did when they were on trial, I have many times Ffd one up in my Kaga. Now you'll only see them in T9 or T10. Surprisingly gentile, from WeeGee.
-
Well, no blame there - I would ALSO not put it beyond WeeGee but so far they haven't actually done it. Yet.
-
Nah it is even better, the Super CVs can piss on Super CVs. T10 Cv vs Super CV is not possible due to mirrored MM. The largest problem for a Cv to snipe another CV (distance) is negated because of speed.
-
...so just kill them with torps, then. Thing is, even if you do not hit them they'll need to change direction, and go where they do not want. I hit two more Dds that game, a Shima (almost dead, teammate KSd him) and a Daring (same).
-
They don't. I played the Super CVs a few times, and almost every game managed to sink the red CV. Did not even have to try that hard... doesn't have Super AA either. And no super-armour. It is just fat. Most important factor, you can reach him real quick - NB: ... @Europizza
-
Well, at T6 it is a problem and you REALLY need the occasion, and the CV to do it. Bearn is an ideal perp, due to the kind of ammo it has. German CV could be, depending on the adversary. AP rockets on Ryujo flat broadside, eh, goody goody. And they are fast, too. The MAIN problem at T6 is that (as you know) an average game is around 50-60K, sort of the average HP of a CV plus something. But for Ark Royal and others that will include some fires and floods (which you do not get on a CV - since auto-DCP). Yeah you can do 150K with Ark Royal or Ryujo but not "just like that". You'll need alpha-damage and those numbers do not really add up. Unless you manage to do multiple drops (save time) or position for it (again, save time). Another problem is that your T6 CV may get into a T8 MM, which means you have to avoid his buddies (flying around costs time, too). If you get T5MM with Ark, fly in the direction of the red CV, drop a "fighter" on a spotted DD, "pre-drop" on a hapless BB, and deliver the rest to their CV.. TROLL to the max. Time is of the essence in Ark but it has 3 torpedoes so is better than Furious. Seriously I thought you knew, you are a better CV player than me, stats show it clearly. Or maybe I just try to help my teammates too much and I should just farm harder. TIP: try Ise... loving those torps....

I report shitty DD players. More of them than CV players. Usually after 3 games I'm out of demerit points. -

I have 7 a but only RNGesus knows how I got them. -
More like, you need a BB in your team (and yes it would be best to bring some) that actually shoots the CV when he has a chance of doing so. I bet @Europizza is gonna be that CV pilot himself and he is quite enough savvy to do so (much better than me). The question is more, and this is why I thought he was just kidding, why did he believe attacking the enemy CV was a no go. yes the average pleb attacking the other average pleb will probably not work at all. As they have trouble even killing a T6 BB with a T8 CV. Oh the black clouds they meet and the planes they lose... tssk tssk. I find tough that when I have a T6 CV and I get T9 MM, then the other CV (which will be T6..) is often the best target. Sure he is more difficult to hit than a T6 or T7 BB, but much easier than a T8 BB. He'll be parked up usually, elsewhere engaged, and also there will be no friends around to add AA... his fighters can be tricked (as all fighters) and Alpha damage is damage. Given a choice between attacking a T8 DD or a T6 CV, if same distance, I'll take the CV.
