To be fair, I do not consider this as a problem - now. Subs are still being tested. WeeGee can just buff the depthcharges, or nerf health of subs. Granted, that is a thing that needs doing, indeed. But they work as intended.

There's the problem though. While DDs perform their task when spotting, and get rewarded, CVs do not get rewarded for spotting much. It would be much better to just nerf CV spotting to minimap only, because the only reward they get for it is negative karma. As for average damage output, actually it is quite pathetic that a CV doe not outperform a BB by a mile - considering the "ease of delivery". Imagine a BB going, oh crap that cruiser is steering left, let's change the trajectory...

Hahaha that's funny I have seen YOU in game as well, you killed my Colombo. Or I killed you - I think I did a suicide run on you. As you were the main threat to the win there. Good performance in that DD, I'd say we were a bit lucky we won. Basically that sentence IS the solution. If you do 9vs9, do not let them make up a FULL division. So make the max division 6 out of 9 or something. Leave room for 3. And yes I'd rather see max 6 vs 6 or so, all across T6 to T10.

Well, they can just do the math. 9vs 9 is do-able if you have an active clan. But it would be better if they'd do 9vs9 and have a max division of 5 or 6. That way, you'd get a lot of smaller divisions, and you'd also get a 6-div with 3 randoms, vs (for example) a collection of 4 other divisions. So - make sure you NEVER get a "full division".

True. I can imagine it is not much fun if you're solo. However, there is no limits to divving i up, getting into a clan, and I even opened a discord channel. So far we seen nobody - so I assume they are just whining, and even so - T10, 9vs9, no CV, no subs... IMO they should just run this all year @Seraphice <--- make 'em do it! This is fun! We screwed it up though, hope to see you next time...

More people have been telling WeeGee that, including me - but they do not listen much. It would balance the game more, and yes indeed it would be more satisfactory. @Seraphice maybe you can roast them a bit about it.

Well you got me beat there... But... (and I am constantly regrinding US BBs for RP, so that's why 40%...) Agincourt, too. Zero AA. And Arkansas Beta I think you mean that one. AA doesn't matter at T4 though. It is just some cross eyed fools running around on the deck with a handgun. Agreed. Actually the reason I went to play CVs (besides memeworthy Ark Royal) was exactly that. Because I knew WeeGee would put them into CB, and nobody in my clan was playing them. So I needed to get at least somewhat decent (still working on that though...).

yes, would be good to give a teammate some ACTUAL protection. Instead of just alerting the reds "hey hey look our DD is here".

They are an automatic click-in division... LOL I think it is hilarious, how many times do you get the chance to take 5x Smolly and 4x Conq? Granted - it is no fun if you enter ALONE. But for Clans... hell yeah. And then you meet a team that brought 4x Lenin and 5x Stalin...

We won that multiple times... if you have less DDs, then you have more cruisers. Just make sure you prioritize murdering them.

THIS, really. And may I remind that my clan (and many others) are still hiring? Why do you guys all think many clans are seeking active members? Basically, if you enter a team-based mode alone, well, it is not gonna end well for you. You are meeting the local soccer team - and while they may suck, they'll still wipe the floor with you. That said, we also lost a few against random teams because: "there is such a thing as too much meme". That said: I'd prefer 6vs6 at T6-8. But hey. It is still fun to play with buddies, have a rant, and get some XP/credits. FYI we created a discord channel especially for it. You're welcome to join.

Yes. It means that you can now play randoms but try to make sure you get at least a decent team... And no CV, no subs... LIKE! But yes you do need a LOT of buddies. Lucky for me we have good relations with 3 clans. We often div up & we have a discord channel/section that we all can use. We usually manage to get a bunch of 9 together. And yes we do some meme-stuff, but so do others: tonight we met 4x Thunderer + 5x Gouden Leeuw... yes we got BBQ'd Same here. 3vs3 was hilarious. 5 vs 5 at T6 would be great as well. I'm liking current 9vs9 though, but as said, I am lucky.

No it doesn't. It just gives you the DIRECTION to the nearest ship, not the distance. If (for example) you are in middle cap, and two red DDs are in left & right cap, it will switch left -to-right, depending which is closer. Also, it may point to the Mino behind the rock at 5 km - and there will be a Des Moines coming at 6km, which it will not show. No it doesn't. It just lets that one ship (that you have RPF on) know he is RPF'd. That said I take it on DDs, and on some cruisers like Minotaur. Because when you sit in smoke, and you are radared, well then you can dump torps "in the general direction". You can also pre-aim guns - MIGHT be useful on des Moines. But I find other things more useful on those type cruisers.

It is not a DD. Times that I try to use it as a DD, is the times when it sucks and I lose hard. You do not Yolo stuff. You sneak up on it and THEN you Yolo stuff, the smoke isn't there to hide you coming. It is to hide you going. That said - many Shima pilot regretted meeting the Yolo. Yeah he outspots you by a few km. However you can also think of that as "he outspots me by a quarter second". Also, stupid trick I found, race into smoke of red DDs or cruisers.. and torp them from 2km in their own smoke... I find playing it solo a lot better than playing a in division... because you NEED TO BE antisocial in this thing.

There still is, except it has become soooo predictable, to some it does not even exist. And then there is the stupid mechanic of "instant refill from above", where there should be a gap. I bet if you'd "randomize" that AA-FLAK better, and THEN let DEF-AA paste some in the middle, it would be VERY effective. Because then even the ones that now manage to avoid all the Flak will be hit. THEN let the O-sector actually select a plane. And THEN remove the auto-refill, so there will be an actual GAP if you shoot down a plane.

I suppose the other Superships paid your bill... I can break even on Condé or the Super-CVs, but nothing like you did there!

To me, that just suggests "do not take 3 subs, take 2 subs and a CV".
