If you think the CV rework might turn out great, or you'l like it, grind them now. I can see no better option - if you're good at them. Because after the rework might be a lot harder. For example you can now crosstorp a fat juicy BB, and keep him spotted until he's dead. Easy pickings, if you're good.

Your PC should run it just fine. So something definately is wrong somewhere. The trilinear didn't solve any problems here, as I had none. It made it quicker though. I get the 'spotted' now at the same time the ship renders (used to be 0.1 sec later or so).

I'd say have a look at this guy: http://www.resplendence.com/downloads There are many tools that you can use to determine what is causing the problem. There's also a handy tool that can shut down any unwanted proggies that might be secretly running in the background. And handy tools that tell you if your PC is up for the job, and if some components are going down the drain. I can advise 'Sanity Check', 'WhoCrashed' and 'WhySoSlow'. Your PC should be able to run WOWs no problem, full blast. Mine does, the TRILINEAR thing has reduces the rendering time to absolutely ZERO (on my sons PC too).

Here's a good stupid one: I'm not much of a DD player, but when I want to play "Dynamo" I'll have to get myself a DD. So, I am now onto the Nicholas.... But did you know that if you press the wrog button, you get speed boast instead of smokescreen? Well... on Leander, to smoke press "Y"...

Just let them rant on, maybe they have a different opinion. But testing in co-op would be better than in randoms. I do believe you are right though, seen a lot of them today and I do not think they're that good. But could be the randoms, everybody just going for it with a 1-point captain... and then having this result. Even killed some T6 in a Nicholas. So, FWIW maybe your opinion is a bit blunt an a bit harsh but at least honest. I'm not much of a DD driver, means I'll probably suck at them anyway. But then again, I am Dutch so if it's free I must have it. If they keep up the British tradition, T 2-5 will suck heaps, getting better after that... (I play RN cruisers.... sigh... well...).

My son has 2Gb and an i5, with 8GB ram. Runs perfectly well, and it should. The game doesn't need much, I've seen much more demanding games. I think with some smart programming it's about half what you'd need for GTA5. In the sense of polygon count and textures it's really not that 'heavy'. I put that triangle filter on too, instead of the 8x. Didn't matter in the looks department but man it is quick now. I also checked what programs were running, kicked a few out that were not needed, and now... yes, noticable difference. I mean unneeded stuff like 'HP printer updater service'. Arghh. Good tips gusy, now I hope the OP gets this problem solved.

Could be a 'packet problem', too. This game depends on receiving and sending info. Your PC and GFX card can be perfectly fine, but not receiving packets of data about the other ships. This is what happened to me once, the ff-er dragged everything (EVERYTHING!) through a scan first.

That's mega crud, then. Do you have any other games to try out, mostly I found that all of them were affected. If it is just WOWS then it is lijkely the game, but I wouldn't count on it. 99% of my trouble ever were windows faults (or antivirus having 'the latest setting' and blocking). The other 1% was just something getting fried. At least it isn't an 'intermittent' problem, they are hard to find.

GFX card being a bit out of whack? That gets updated too... I hardly think it's the game, the hardware is good enough, so probably something is wrong with Windows or other software, or some component is on its way out.

Could be some Windows update as well. I have turned that off (using W7), as somehow, after updating windows, the game needed to be 'fixed' (running the check through the launcher) as well. With my son (W10) it is so bad sometimes the game even crashes instead of having a stutter. AFter updating - always run the 'fix'.

ROFL they are the same what I am using, sort of - and I run it on a 34 inch full blast. I think he has something blowing up in that PC. Either that, or a programming fault. Last time I had any problems it was my MoBo being fried.

I met @Verblonde today in his T8 HSF Harekaze (at least, I think that was him...), I was in the T6 Leander. Unfortunately the fat captain was having a celebration beer on the Fiji (his new ship), so we were trolling around with a few [AS13] members. So, we did all kinds of weird tactics, and I had to make due with a one point cabin boy. No matter, was working well, divving with my clan boss in the DD. I'd draw fire and he kills them from the smoke... they think I am alone (LOLLL). Worked two times already. But that lasted until we met Verblonde... he didn't fall for it... or maybe he did (Sasaruru got him after...), but... Well of course Verblonde got me, but he was lucky though - he knocked out my torp launcher, just as I was about to do the same to him. But our team steamrollered (well... steamstaggered...) his team. Even Verblonde cannot carry enough salt for such a large bowl of potatoes. BTW never expected to meet Verblonde on the EU server (Toronto eeyyyy?). Catch you next time... (and I hope to have better luck, not counting on it though hahahahaha!)

I have Campbelltown for that, but indeed Belfast would be Ok for that. Same sort of skills. Not for the cruisers though. You can actually grind harder if you can put that captain on #2 ship as well. My fattest one is on Hood/King George V. But he has 13 points... therefore he doesn't grind Elite XP. I think they squandered DE/IFHE, 7 points lost. Unless you use that captain for DDs.

Well, we have players here that have 2500 games and still don't know, so... he's not trying to be funny. Also it is pretty much competitive, just a lot less 'pay to win' than tanks with the gold ammo. Yes you can buy premiums. But no they will not be that much better. When you want progress in this game, you (mostly...) have to earn it not buy it.

Yes I know, that's the point. You cannot (or rather, it is no use) spec a Belfast captain with IFHE and/or DE. Because if you do, that 3- and 4-point skill will be useless on other RN cruisers. So you need a specific captain for Belfast and/or you can't train captains for other RN cruisers.

He is n't trying to be though. You have 250 battles. Also check @Malfuss : " you only have 5 games in a Leningrad and no other Russian ships, so I'm guessing your captain is very low level. You will have a huge detection range and I'm guessing no Survivability Expert, all of which will help." Compared to the other players in that operation, you are like 'green as grass'. That doesn't matter so much if you know what to do. But you have not got the 'supercaptain experience points', and THEY will have it. This is one (big) reason you die and they survive.

That is what I'd want it for, except it is useless... as RN cruisers have AP. We really do need a premium where we can stick our captains on. I'd not buy a Belfast, for that reason.

Could be plunging indeed, but I have rekt a few Belfasts with Dallas (the 152mm AP). Of course when they are in smoke I can't be sure if they are angled or not, but rekt they got. Did the same to Belfast with Fiji. If you see a Belfast in smoke, just let it rain.

How about they add them to the new CV meta, as 'close defence'. If they can 'call' fighters when their planes are threathened, have them call schnellbote or MTBs.
