Makes sense. Today I decided to give the New York another run. Same reliable AP shooting as ever. The spotter plane makes for bizarre situations, I shot an IJN BB over the Solomon Islands (CV spotted him) while he was camping at the back. Good hit, too. Blasted a Fujin to 1/4 health and after that a Kamikaze R while they were trying to cap the middle, too. They have baaaaad brakes. When they smoke up, is the ideal moment to pull the trigger. Might have killed them outright if I had the HE loaded.

Oh, I'll just carry on. Besides that, I think I used up all my luck for a year when I got Arizona from a free container. And I suck (and I mean, REALLY SUCK) at DDs anyway, so it's not a great loss... Hoping to score a captain and some other stuff, will be better for me.

So far, still ZILCH, NADA, NONE, NIENTE, RIEN-NE-KNOTS, ZERO.

Met @Verblonde again on the EU server, same team this time. Our team sucked, ran away, and sort of died to the lemming train of the other team. Dunno what killed Verblonde, probably due to everybody seeming to go one way and then they all split. Dúh! So, after the team got more than halved, our division decided to just go YOLO and blast everything we could. I managed to blow a RN DD clean out of the water, LOL. Made him a bit salty. You seem to be convinced that NY is the worst of the worst, well, I guess we just have a different opinion... If you can manage not to get shot, it is. I'd rather take the German option.

Meh, I usually do not care about speed. That 1 or 2 knots will not make you escape if you have over-extended. If it's not Hood, then it's slow. I haven't treid it with spotter yet. And I already had the extra range installed... many times I blast CA/CL that thinks 'ah well, I'm detected, who is gonna shoot' and sails broadside. And / or kill whatever is standing still behind a rock at 18+ km. LOL. So far New York is the only one that I manage to do that. Plus the maneuverability. Turn the guns AND the ship. Really half the time they do not hit me at all, best armour there is. Could be that it has best accuracy? Iron Duke was always kinda 'meh'.

WuT! I might not like that at all. The main thing was, it had huge range, and all the time. I hate the spotter plane on the New Mex. The range is shite, unless that plane flies. And then it gets shot down lotsa times (so now I have two, and usually I last the 1.5 minutes or so).

I already didn't think Bretagne wasn't much better... at all (LOL harhar). I see it as a grind towards Lyon. But in case New York turns out to be No Yoke, will just buy back Iron Nuke. I've seen many GC's but usually sailed by numbskulls (NY fodder), we'll see if that gets different. I liked Iron Nuke though so it wouldn't be a punishment. Still like NY better, somehow. The K-BLAM factor is better.

Yep. It's plenty good, I kept it while I sold others. It is OK, but if you have a div-mate that sticks with you, it is brilliant. I have 'chased' many DDs out of smoke...when they get too close, load the HE and take them head-on. Texas doesn't have the secondaries, but the AA is indeed a lot better. But it's a premium. I also have Bretagne, working through the French line... might be an option... but better New York.

Yes, usually I play in div and that means I do not go for the points or kills. Should see my div mates stats though (he does most of the dmg). Dmg output gets a bit better after the ships are 100% spaded. So does the WR. I'm not much in a hurry usually, so low dmg is fine, as long as I can make a difference. First, when he caps I try blapping everything that comes near (including other DDs). I do not get great dmg from that, but it is effective for the win. Then we go hunting, when he spots, I usually draw attention and then he shoves some torps up their rear end. BTW that site is a bit weird, we play all the time I am sure we used the Mutsuki lots of times. See it as a floating gun platform, being quite accurate, and always has great reach. Difficult to kill, too. A blessing for any DD that gets cover from it. And then think of what that DD could do... Yes CVs can be a problem, but torping that thing isn't easy at all. It can turn on a dime. More like, get citadelled by any DD. Often it's the first ship that gets blapped. In one shot.

I think if they REALLY did 'islands of ice' they should make them float around. And it should be a Tier 1-4 map with plenty of seals on that ice (clubbing, ya know...)!

I don't see any OP premiums currently for sale in T5... Maybe Oktbrblabla Prtskaya but even that's not much of a problem. I'll be enjoying the New York, heheheheh. Do we also get a grab of Steel, or since it is T5, just Pig iron?

Yes.... a T6/7 RN cruiser with the specific stuff that makes the RN stand out in WOWs. An actually usable one.

Yes, the "always have to grind a (half) point and pay 200k" deal. I'm quite familiar with that one. I'm grinding RN cruisers and BBs, USA DDs, cruisers and BBs - and then a bit, so I need at least 4 to 8. Especially as I want to keep some ships stashed for operations (Leander at T6) that I need a captain on and not a cabin boy. T7 RN BB has now a 13 pointer, and I have HOOD for training purposes (which is a nice ship BTW). e only option is to train smoke on a BB? Or on Belfast... which is kinda silly as Belfast needs IFHE and such. Or re=spec the captain after he has 19 points... well that;s gonna be a while LOL especially if half the points suck.

That is sort f true, but the 'fattest' one I have so far has 13 points. Ehhh they were 10 point commanders, too (and I got to 130...needed 150... dammit).

The main problem I have wit Belfast is that it sort of sucks as a RN cruiser-trainer. It should be like other premiums, have ing sort of the same stuff, with something extra. However none of the RN cruisers have HE. If we'd get a t Town-class, with AP-only, single torps, smoke, and the rest we get on RN cruisers, I'd consider it. Belfast is not that OP at all, and even if it was, as a captain-trainer it is useless to me. No buy.
