Wouldn't say AA is irrelevant... it's just totally trolled. I have a Texas, and when we enter with Texas 2xBB division we seem to get no CVs. Then after that we use Arizona and we get TWO (in each team) of them! Weird really, Warspite should have better AA because that is how she was modernised. But I guess it's the 1940 version then. I'm gonna get myself a Warspite then!

A bit more info plz - how is it better? I really liked the ability of QE to tank, and then ZAP everything when shooting back. Good accuracy, dependable AP pen. I think I never shot a round of HE in it... If ONE sits in the cap, but others are still out, wave after wave will come with attackers trying to get back into the harbour. I've made it upto wave #5... lotsa kills. So: lotsa XP to harvest, if you like. But mind the timer...

No, because: - a BB 'rushing a DD' is actually a bit laughable... Imagine a New york at full 'speed' - Besides if the BB does that... how will it give a full broadside... OK maybe it's a Frenchie (but the dispersion will make sure not all hit). And those Frenchies have a baaaaaad problem if DDs attack them from the rear... I think that if you calculate a FULL (100% hit) broadside to kill a DD, that's what it will be indeed. You'll NEVER kill him in 1 volley if it is a full HP DD.

Well, IMO a DD that comes within 2-3km of a BB should be dead in 30 seconds, no matter if he gets hit by main guns or not. On the other hand, AP will not do deadly damage at 19k or more. Maybe a secondary buff would be the thing. But AP damage should also be calculated by tier - a full broadside hit = instakill, no matter AP or HE. But if you miss half and it was AP, well.... So, a Gearing having ~20k HP, coming close to T8 BB, means that BB should (be able to) do 20k damage in one AP broadside... take 10 guns... ~2k per shell? On NC it's 13.1 K so 10% is a bit low IMO. But then there's the secondaries... The secondaries (if they aren't damaged) put out 5x2x5 shots in 30 secs. 50 shots x 1800HP at 5km. Plenty.

Yes, agreed. There's one thing though - has only two turrets. And shooting ONE turret with 4 barrels is less accurate... With Hood (too bad cannot use it in T6 Ops) in Narai I devstrike the cruisers using front/back (two turrets at a time). I can do the same with Arizona... too bad it isn't a bit faster though (I miss Queen E...). That's why I am curious about Warspite. I doubt if I can do the same in Dunq. ROFL. I'm pretty sure I didn't get one. Icarus also didn't come with a 10-pointer, and I am sure of that, as he'd be on it. But then again, I'm also pretty sure I have no luck, ever. Have you seen my hitrate?

For sure if you buy the ship from premium ship, you get a port slot and a ONE point captain. Only if it says so do you get a better captain, some come with captains equipped. Also, I got Arizona from a crate but NO TEN POINT captain. So that is (also) a matter of luck. I'm curious to see if any ships will fall from my free crates.

They COULD fix this though, and they NEED TO do something of that kind already. Easiest would be to step up the secondary damage. BBs would still not be able to damage DDs with AP. But DDs also would better not go too near any BB either. And... tadaaa... nobody would need a brain too use it. I'd also like that because I'm braind... ehh... lobotom... ehhh... kinda, it's realistic too. Secondaries, that is what they are for. Light cruisers/DDs that got too close to BBs got shredded by secondaries. As is, secondaries just fart a bit in the general direction. Also, they need to have a look at secondary/AA damage anyway with their new guised miss.... ehh... CV meta. So, there you go. It's easy fix, dumb as f, so... well... how can they mess that one up?

You mean, move the Bone-Argh armour to T7 as KGV, and finally have it given the guns it deserved all along. Add the HP and forget the heal. It would leave the problem though what they'd put at T8 and T9. I'd say Rodney at T8 and a T9 a Revenge class... T10 should have been Vanguard... but... Yeah I guess they have this one boned.

Depending a lot on what was in front and how it was angled. AP still works at broadside cruisers. The dispersion though is WORSE than Hood/ Queen E. The pen is worse too (a lot...), but never does over-pen to cruisers.. BBs that I could pen with Hood or Queen E, were impenetrable with KGV. The caliber is JUST TOO SMALL. That is how HE worked for me as well. Shoot 10 shells, 6 land on target, 4 shatters, 2 pens. Maybe 1 fire. Next shot that happens again, if he used DC then MAYBE 1 fire. And again. And again. (DARE I SAY IT) --> with IFHE all those 6 went IN (6,100 dmg x6 vs 10,500AP xzilch). And USUALLY a fire, sometimes two. Or even three. It's not as nice as it seems though, because after half-game, anything that can burn, is already burned... still six guaranteed pens though. Poor Nagato has the weakest armour though, so yes you get pens, even with KGV. Unless he goes bow-in. Then he gets pens, you get none... I can even miss a broadside Nagato at 10km in Monarch. More goats needed I guess. I'm definately sure it's not my aim. Finally KGV (because that is what it is) gets the armour and guns it deserves, and then this...

See, this part I do not understand. AFAIK the line is fine upto T6 & Hood. What you get is sturdy BBs, after that they are made from cake and can't shoot straight or kill anything. The Monarch is what the KGV should have been, but at T8... which means it is mediocre at best with its trollish RNG. Yeah sure some (most?) people do good in KGV. Well yeah, hide behind stuff and set fires (it IS good at that). But no fun. Also, I'm definately not liking 'Mega-heal'. If you have a large health pool, like Hood, well you can be sure an extra hit/fire is not gonna kill you. But in KGV/Monarch (probably also in Lion/Conq) it might just mean the end if your heal is on cooldown or can't keep up. Resulting, you have to play 'fast in fast out' drive-by shootings. But it's not that fast, nor as agile as Hood (at T7). And usually I seem to miss a barn door at 10m with it.

Agreed, it does that.... But I meet it plenty times and doesn't seem to be that strong... I can whack it in Hood, easily. Also, I do not usually 'bowcamp' so I think I'll have that big rear end shot off in no time. Have Bretagne though (oh man...) --> onto Lyon , seems to me even a numbskull like me can do good in that. Unless I get confused by the sheer number of guns, that is. I did like Queen E a lot though.

Well, I found WOWS Wiki kinda BS on it, says "Short maximum firing range of only 16.3km", also doesn't say anything about the spotter plane (which I am sure it has). Heal and secondaries are supposed to be better on Warspite than on Queen E, as is AA. I'd like to know because one of these is going to happen: 1: I could get Warspite (X-mas discount or use coupon); 2: could rebuy Queen E and stick it in a spare slot, but I'd need to train a new captain. ... just because WG bodged RN T7, RN T8 and (looks like it) RN T9 as well. Not thinking any good will come from Conq either... thinking of giving that the slip and go grind the US BB line.

...and no Queen Liz either, unfortunately. Do you happen to know if Warspite is greatly different? If I have to kick butt then Leander is better, generally. Icarus/Farragut might be up for DD challenge. Icarus seems to be OP as hell to me. Even I can do good with it.

Well, you can imagine my joy when I was greeted by King Grog the Filth after liking Queen Elizabeth and buying Hood... ALMOST glad to have those same guns (with just a bit of extra Oomph...) back in T8 on the Bone-Argh.
