Seems to me you're just pretty good and have lots of experience. I'm average, in that operation I'm still finding out what the objectives are, while you know exactly where they'll pop up and where to put your ship in order to blast them.

Indeed it is pretty cheap for what it does. But if that cruiser makes a turn, well, I'll get him after the turn... Also, cruisers CAN BE devstriked with BB HE. Even when slightly angled and AP wouldn;t cut it.

Yeah, if he keeps sitting still in your reach he suffers MORE from the Alpha-damage of IFHE T7 than from the fires. But usually it would not happen like this. Normally, he'd get outta there after (quite...) a few hits, being on fire. THEREFORE the fire damage would relatively be much higher than the Alpha-IFHE damage. He'd get 2 or 3 fires, get away - and use damcon - then you (or some other HE-spammer) set him on fire again, and he'd get away from your hiding place (OR you'd have to hide...), and this means in reality he'd burn to death. An unfortunate Colorado might NOT get out, well yes, then he's dead indeed due to the Alpha-damage. Sort of same like me in Monarch shooting a Yamato. Yes I do alpha damage... but I cannot keep doing that unless he is in an 'open' position (= dumb), even then I'd have to be in some kind of cover or he'll shoot me in half. Same as I do with uncareful HE-spammers in New York, Arizona or New Mex. I think we both CAN agree though that West Virginia is much more vulnerable than some other BBs. It is a bit larger (harder to miss) and awfully slow. And yes it will see lots of T7 and T8 (but not T9...). The disadvantage (high dpm HE) is bigger there, but at T7/T8 it also has advantages. In a T8 game the New Mex guns are kinda 'meh', WV at least packs a good punch.

I think that's a bit unfair. He has 1056 there, and it's a loss. That means the winning team gets 50% extra - so actually he has done better/ as good as the #3 in the winning team. Even if he were unicum he could not save that cart of potatoes, the only other kills are by players that did half his damage or less. But you do not kill many ships in a HE-spammer unless you 'spread the love'. As in, set a fire, let it burn out - and set fire on a DIFFERENT ship in the meantime. That way you bring down the HP pool of the whole enemy. Concentrating on ONE is about the worst you can do in a HE spammer, as you just let the rest of them live. Go around and set the whole other team ablaze.

Meh, just show them mine and they'll run away screaming. I still have to get 100k dmg in this Bone-Argh, I think it's possible, but, well, shoot. I still think there's something wrong there. I do have 1600 games, how can I go from 'BAD AS HELL' to 'UNICUM' in a few games. Same about PR, my div mate is MUCH better than me, and has same lousy PR. I think PR only calculates the 'wins' on WR, not the losses. If I have a loss I am usually in the top of the pile of potatoes.

Yeah but YOU are actually good.... Finally I seem to get what to do with this thing. I think I need to take more risks. At the end of the game I am still alive (easy), but way down on damage done.

4 wins in Monarch, average 50 k in T9/10 games. RNGesus must finally like my goats.

I'm starting to doubt a bit, maybe WG throws bots in to ruin everybodies game experience? Nah, 4 Wins in Monarch in T9/10 battles, 50k average... - didn't l have one loss tonight. It's a miracle!

4 games in Monarch, 3x T10 and 1x T9. All wins though and got 50k damage on each of them. ROFL.

That is not the hardest part... I play USA BBs too, there you need to think 10 minutes ahead... The hardest part in Monarch is when you get detected and then the whole enemy team starts shooting you, and due to having not given RNGesus enough goats you miss all of them...

OK probably a "Captain Obvious"question, but here goes. How to divide captain points on the Monarch? He now has (almost) 17 points. I'm not planning to play the ship much, but I need to get to T10 to play CB with my clanmates. But, I'll stick the captain on the Hood as well, and probably also on Warspite (until I get/breed a fresh 10p one and train him). The IFHE he has now is gonna go, it was good for King Grog the Filth but I never want to play that one again. Ugghhh! So... which ones do you advise? And what to keep for the last 2 points? Since I want the captain for Hood & Warspite, probably not that obvious. Also, note that I am not a camper, I like to dive in and shoot AP... which is why Conqueror will only see CB I think (better I grind the US BBs).

This indeed. I can probably get it at X-mas too, and I wouldn't know where to spend the rest of the dubloons on. Meanwhile this captain build on Bone-arch is a hoot. Survived all games, had them go salty lots of times. Now to get above that 50k, need to play more risky I guess.

Duh. I just shot a Currywurst for 19K using Monarch. Didn't use Expert loader, just turned bow-in... as there was no island. He gave me plenty of time --> THAT is where you are right, probably he thinks RN BBs do not shoot AP. I don't use FP either (he shot AP anyway hahaha) as I never had more than 2 fires except on Colorado. Oh and on King Grog the Filth but that doesn't count it's made of wood.

To me, that means you actually proved him RIGHT... I dunno, but why would you then choose AP, ever? That means you might as well leave HE on all the time, no need to EVER use Expert Loader...

Hmmm... that works out, about 16.50 euros. Just can't buy 4550 doubloons, so I'd still need to spend 20. It will leave me with some doubloons... let's see... I think might wait until Christmas, but it's tempting. If I can find a use for the remainder of the dubloons, might just go for it. Good tip thanks!

Then why don;t you relax a bit. Yes the MM is crud. Yes some players are kinda crud, some TOTALLY crud. But... it's a game, any nutcase can play it - so expect nutcases and deal with it. It's part of the fun, for me. If i see a 'unicum division' for instance the object of the game changes for me. I try to screw them over as much as possible. Of course, I'll not win - but the fun! Buy Campbelltown, get into T3, and see what kind of nutty stunts you can pull. Can you get behind that T4 BB and torp him from the other side? Or can you cap in the Iron Duke? (I can do it in the New York hahahah!)

You don 't seem to be a bad player G FonFalks. just also, you seem not to have much fun. Maybe better you stick to T5/6/7. I have found that "up there" is absolutely not much fun at all. This is a game man. You should enjoy it - else it's too much like work!

You'll love it then! Thursday I had 3 dead DDs because I was "guarding the base" in Texas... killed 2, helped with 1. I was sitting in one of the 4 caps (the one near the spawn) while my team went a clockwise lemmingtrain on Two Brothers. Kept it all the game with a cruiser that was spotting (and HE spamming) from distance, while our team and theirs fought it out. Together we managed to kill 3 cruisers (from 4) and (all) 3 DDs, who all tried to rush me in cap. LOL.

Well duh. When I play in a division we usually end up top 3 or at least in top half. Somehow that doesn't make me unicum. It does - if I had a plenty good evening, the 'short time stats' will show it. But that will quickly disappear. I see many unicums just good in harvesting potatoes, but there are SOME that are actually good. But I know many players that I think are at least as good, they just do not have a 'nose' for potatoes. I'm sure though that if they play long enough, they'll become one. A 'unicum div' is really not that often unicum. ANY div can reach unicum status. OK... most them. And I know... because I had 'unicum' status in DDs... but I know I really really suck at them!

The only ship that I can think of where it is usefull is a BB like King Grog: Massive difference between AP/HE performance. Just that the AP is so crud (combined with T9 MM)... only used it for shooting broadside cruisers... and then there's usually plenty time.
