    Yeah that is what I usually do, torp the DD and then dakka the cruiser. If your teammates do not dakka the cruiser first... while you handle the DD. SO I'd be happy to learn how to get easy 8-10 cits in one game.
  2. That would be fun. But I think ships despawn at some moment. Currently the maps are a bit boring, so I'd be happy to have something like it. BTW we'd also need CONVOYS, and then you'd have to 'take' them and the other party would have to either kill them or re-take them. I'd applaud a more 'scenario-based' game, FWIW.
  3. I mean 'shallow' as in 'too shallow for a BB', so also too shallow for a sub to dive completely. Periscope depth would be the max. And as such they would not be able to escape depth charges. Minefields would be no-go areas, except if you went really slow... as in Operation Dynamo. Reefs would be 'open water' but impassable to all ships. In some maps we already have those. Yup. It can be used as balance by WG, how much time they can stay under and how much time they need to replenish. Yep. IJN and the Brits also had subs. AND the Russians... Plenty room for premiums also. Seriously, WG could contact the German remake crew from Das Boot and make some cash. Which would be good. In the Halloween event there were plenty things to get spotted. I think in the game, hydro should spot subs at whatever depth. Radar spots periscopes and surfaced subs. Snorkels could slow down oxygen consumption, negate it, or maybe even replenish it, only when going half-speed... (like some heals can with 1 or 2 fire... similar). I think these are good ideas.

    3 salvos with Leander, but there are a few things in co-op. At least I find them so, maybe you have a work-around. I'd be happy to know, as I do not play co-op, usually. usually you meet the DD first... has to die, else (even if it is a bot) it will kill you; cruisers will turn into you - though they ARE stupid enough to sail broadside past smoke; eh... but they'll sure put some torps into you. Usually I just torp them but that is not gonna work now. While you are finishing off the dd or first cruiser, your teammates may 'help'... no citadels; Only rarely do you get to be the one that harvests TWO cruisers; I never got more than 3 citadels from one cruiser, usually then it's dead (with or without help). Now... how? I'd like to be able to get 4-6 from a salvo, as I get 3 now. Most I got from a game is 10. But that was when my teammate killed the DD, then died due to the DD having shot torps... one whole CL for me... found another one... and then half a PEF. Easy game and 4 kills, but that was pretty rare I think.

  6. Exactly. But they game would need to last long or else you get nothing. I think same thing. I'd enjoy them. And enjoy hunting them, too. More DD-targets is good. We need more DD-appreciation, they are handy little buggers. Let's give them some food to eat. I do not understand why they always have islands. There are a lot more things that could be useful. Shallow areas (can't go there in a BB, or even a CL) and reefs (nobody can go there...) and yes, minefields. It would add some different stuff to maps, for a change. Shallows are needed - no subs can go there. Reefs would also add something to the game.

    Citadelled a Nelson with Fiji though.... I used Hood in randoms... I guess I'm worse... (went quick though). Leander even better, you get lower tier (even more cardboard armour). Somebody called my middle name (YOLO DD... I-care-RUSCH) I put a fire-flag and a flooding flag on Icarus, but indeed... NONE. Last time I checked an admiral was 19pt... 10 points is just a CAPTAIN PACK... Best take Leander or Fiji. Monarch can't hit the side of an island... 20 citadels should be ~5-10 games in co-op if you're lucky. I think I'm gonna make it too. ROFL. Hope it's not too great of a 'PEF effect' ship though. On the other hand, everybody ALWAYS wants to kill th Belfast first, maybe they'll have pity on me.
  8. BBs should be able to just shoot them when they are at periscope depth. Big guns, big caliber and thin sub-skin. After all BBs can deal citadels to cruisers, in the underwater part. Some BBs did have depth charges though - and a thing I DIDN'T READ YET is mines.
  9. What they are missing is the PvP against subs. I mean, with the players in DDs. But I think they have done most of the stuff regarding submarines very much right in the Halloween event. All we need is depth charges/hedgehog consumable on most ships. Good luck on balancing that though, I think they did an OK job so far on CVs. Some finetuning needed... No doubt they'll do an OK job on subs... but the mega-whine will be a deafening roar. Yes, this indeed. I also expect the DDs to have 'hedgehogs' in later tiers, and ALL ships to have depthcharges. ASDIC should be on some of the ships, more common on later ones. Good ideas. CV could have anti-submarine role, spotting them from the air. But... they almost can't spot DDs... man those DDs will whine... Exactly. Like CV torpedoes doing nothing. Though no doubt the whine will be more like a roar.

    Usually I do not read them anyway... mostluy full of: A-line sailing BBs that want you to spot (and then they miss); dead guys (potato BBs) yelling their (bad) advice; people calling names because other people refuse to do what they wil not do themselves... Is there an option to put chat off completely?

    How is Conqueror's accuracy compared to Lion?

    Very nice, and I know it works like that, but the thing is, in a New Mex or just about anything else, no problem. I shot a DD to bits with the New York when it missed the torps, at 5 km. Lion is just a mega-trollboat, I think.

    Best take Fiji or Leander, approach the biots, smoke up... dakka dakka. Six citadels, no problem (but we don't need them now). I find it pretty easy in co-op, the bots are really stupid. They avoid ONE torpedo and then they run in the other four... Then again, so do randoms. Mostly I forget I need to devstrike them, so I shoot them below 50%, then remember... dammit. So far, two achievements in randoms, and not even one 'detonation' even though I killed 3 in one game, and I was in the middle while I did it in Icarus and they all shot at me: no achievements... LOL. One devstrike (torped the other Icarus), one fleshwound (torped Nelson with Leander). Daaamnnn it's kinda HARD!

    Well, unless Belfast, you can aim for 'devastating strike', after all you have torps and there's plenty stupid DDs around. Som yolo-rush to cap and pretend you're a DD. Mght get 'first blood'as well. And... if (OK, when...) it backfires you'll get 'detonation'... There ya go. Why would the CLs be any different, just slightly larger. Yes you can! Oh yes forgot about that, too.

    Trust me, if you LOOSE the anti-flag and take: - any RN DD; - any RN CL... ELander will do, Fiji too... ...you''l find that detonation, for sure. Or rather, it will FIND YOU. BTW it is also helping the community. To a 'First Blood' or devstrike...

    Good trick, I do that in most ships. In Hood front/rear separate. Enough to devstrike cruisers.

    Devstrike DDs with HE is also possible, should be easier. Then if you get torped there's an 'unsinkable' in the making as well...

    It's "chore work" so I'll not do randoms for those. Co-op it is. Taking leander and Fiji should not be too hard to find the other Leander/Fiji and go for some citadels. Some games I manage 3 or 4... and a devr strike/first blood on a DD. OK this kind of YOLO also might result in 'detonation'... but that's OK as well...

    I think a lot of randoms will be played this weekend. My LEANDER will not have trouble getting some of these. At least 'detonation' is gonna be an option... YOLOOOOOOO!
