Same here, but I use torps (and bombs, sometimes, if it is a cruiser). I run, too - usually they do not get me even if they are a DD + cruiser. Because they come from same side... See above? They come from same side... great team (LOL).

Wish I could give TWO thumbsup. Yeah Monarch is good, too. I liked it (I seem to be weird...). However have a look at my stats and compare yours... you can see why I'm happy Regarding Conqueror, I think if the reds have a Currywurst it is better to take Conq already. But if they have Yammy then it's not a good idea... some think the 'reworked'Conq will be a nerf, and (like you) I think it is gonna be better. -
Well yes, but also they do not think the CV contributes to the win. Some of them would rather have a dead CV, because they see the CV as a killstealer or a nuisance making their selected ship changing direction (just when he was giving broadside). But they are RIGHT in that, from what I have seen from most CVs (at least as far as killstealing goes in this game). The lack of teamplay is also cause/reason/thing for this.

That is FPS... never problem before, and now it is also not a problem. Just sometimes when you shoot there is a 'hiccup'.

I dont know what the issue is either, but since the last update I've been getting some stutter. Sometimes, this results in me missing a broadside cruiser at 5-10km, when shooting with Arizona... I know I'm a potato but c'mon... and this happens not every game, but two-three times an evening. Replay shows me missing by 500m, like the áiming X' thing didn't lock... but I know it did. It might be the OTHER guy lagging but I know something is weird. The stutters/connect message started since last update, I have a near-perfect ISP (usually we run two PCs, and no worry). SOMETHING is not running as it should, maybe it is just one drunk hamster, sometimes running the wrong way?

Nope, I'm not the one being selfish... also I'm not a CV main... at all. Why should I be the one that has to attack the capping red DDs? There are at least 2 classes of ship more able to do that. You don't ask BBs to do it, do you? What I need to do IMO is torp/bomb cruisers that threathen our DDs. Yeah surely meanwhile I can spot a DD, and will spot cruisers/BBs. But that's not my job. If it were, I'd have the correct tools for it. In the end game it is a different matter. Yes then I WILL kick DDs that try to steal our secured caps. But i also do that when I play a BB. I'll even cap in a BB... or hunt DDs And selfish? So far I have had ONE cruiser (that was not a div-mate) turn around to get a DD that was after my CV. For the rest, they go 'well at least that red DD is not capping or attacking ME' and are glad another F8k'n CV gets torped.

Yes, IF... bu I'm not the one that must prevent DD from cap at the start. We have other DDs and cruisers for that. I'll help them a bit but I will not do their job for them. I don't trust them, except to mess up. But I cannot do everything nor will I try to do it. I will farm damage as WG intended. I will chase parked islandhuggers. I will also detect and hunt backline camper spammers. I'll defend cap if needed. I'll finish off low-health escaping victims. Those are MY tasks. That's BS. A target that is too far will cost me precious game time. A target that has plenty AA will cost me planes. A fast moving small target has little profit and lots of trouble. I'll NOT hunt them, fat BBS can take AA ships and far off targets. I'll also NOT kill reds that are under fire and about to go down. If there is no teamplay that team will lose for 70% sure. And screw DDs unless they are either a hazard to myself or to a (somehow valued) teammate, or if they are trying to steal away our caps. Yes, then I'll hunt them or drive them away. Not at all. Besides that - I'll make sure I have a team (division). Even then we are not responsible for a cart of potatoes, as we are potatoes ourselves. Nor will the potatoes thank us, they'll just cry for more nerfs. THIS will not be me....

I think that would be too much.... just make them deployable from the squad, point/CTRL-click at friendly ship in view. And then they shopuld stay attached to that ship until shot down / timer runs out. Like providing smoke for friendlies. Mehhhh I can think of other stuff to make it dumber but I won't tell.- 75 replies

Well... yes, but then they could curse at the Potato CV, and NOW they cannot (OK they still can bet the realisation has sunk in a bit it will not help much hahahah). Previously, nobody would co-operate and curse the CV, and a GOOD CV would shut down the potato CV, and have 'free farming' as a reward. Note that I do NOT say 'the gratitude of his teammates as a reward'... because then they'd curse the CV 'took their kills'. Now, the GOOD CV can't (or sees no point in) shutting down the potato CV, so the WHINEBOATS have to DO IT THEMSELVES. I think serves them right. Same as I do not hunt DDs, teammates do not help me when the DDs attack me so why should I help them. I'll only hunt DD when I SEE FIT. Which is not that often. My teammates should do their jobs, too.

IMO they are not problems as such, just the balance sucks heaps. But you CAN counter CVs... I just don;t do it because it is not worth the effort. If I'd get lots of XP I would surely try to kill the enemy CV. I'm better off torping something else though. That's the upside for the bad CV player, indeed. But there's an upside for the team as well: they do not rely on the counterplay of that Bad CV player. Instead now the SHIPS are the counterplay of the CV player. And I don't have a problem countering CV when in a surface ship (OK unless it is @El2aZeR...). The main flaw is in ships not wanting/able to adapt: teamplay IS an issue when trying to counter CVs. Div up or eat CV dropped turds. If you team up CVs are not a problem - nor is anything else.

There is, I can try kill the red CV just it will not get me enough for the time/planes invested. I'd be better off killing AA cruisers... Also, I can lure his fighters and then drop mine. Or some stuff like that which is funny and impedes him but doesn't really matter much. What could be done is some 'aerial dominace' thing but then you must be allowed to spawn fighter protection to some allies. The battle would not be directly between the CVs but more like "I'm gonna kill your friend - no you don't". That might lead to lots of yelling and cursing at the CV for 'air support' though.

I think the main thing our Currywurst needs is a big fat slab of extra HP. C'mon make the Currywurst great again. And no I do not have one myself. I just feel bad for them, they get eaten too quickly. Do not make them less tasty, just make them BIGGER and FATTER so they last longer @MrConway

This is the thing eh. Playstyles differ. I wouldn't get the legendary mod for Conqueror, because it sits at the spot where the concealment is. If you are a backline border camper it might be good, but I like to be even in front of the cruisers... right behind the DDs. And then I'll surprise- blast anything that threatens my DD, stealth up, e rinse-repeat. It's just awesome to blap DDs and waste cruisers. Much better than sitting at the rear spamming HE. -
Why? I like it a lot. For once, I like to play CV now, it's funny. And I think they are a lot better than what the RTS used to be when I am in surface-ships. Used to be, a cross-drop and you were down to 20% or dead. Now, not much of a cross-drop and never more than 50% even if he pushes all 3 attacks. The difference between a bad and a good CV is also much less. Used to be, a good CV player would just kill off the other one and then farm at will. Also, I never shot up so many CVs (using DDs, cruisers and BBs) as in the current meta. Almost every second game I get a potshot at one. Yes there are quite some... ehhh... "mistakes"... lower tier CVs are a bit laughable, higher tiers are sort of OP. Especially if you get TWO T8 CVs in your T6 ship... but if you have a T8 ship and the CV is T6... welll... muhahahahah. This is a bit sucking. But I like them better than the RTS ones. Even if they need to fix some stuf rapido... As in: meeting a 'double CV T8' in your T6 ship... is kinda ridiculous.

I think the one thing they did wrong was make them too 'foolproof'. As in the torpedo-planes, one gets shot down and immediately the squad drops another one in its place. IMO they should stay 'in formation' but now have an open spot. At best, they could tighten up the formation. And better, there should be more counterplay - the previous 'CTRL+SELECT SQUAD' was a lot more satisfying. Bring it back, but now the player must select the DIVING squad to shoot the middle planes first (a lot harder), or the one flying above (easier). And torps should then do a lot more damage. This would NOT make it more difficult for the CV... but it would leave more chances for attacked ships. And the CV would still do the same amount of damage, on average. Chances of massive damage would increase, chances of doing zilch would increase too. The amount of 'meh' would drop. Maybe in such way, CVs would get less attacks on one run. Two would be better -- takes longer for the CV to do the next charge.

Not for me. Since klast update, that went down the drain. Before I had no trouble at all. It does make the actual game run better though.

I found the Halloween event a lot better than the 'space events'. I even sort of like the bathtub boats and rubber duckies. However the space events are such BS, the 'sinking'.... man... -

I usually take 20k in one session.. that is, fire (with Lion). Yesterday I made hamburgers from one in 3 salvos.

The main thing with Currywurst: play it in a division. Bring a few friends and it is VERY good. A solo Currywurst is just something to be put on BBQ. But most BBs are, really.

I don;t have her, but the sight of a Missouri is a bit more dreadful to me than the sight of most others. Yamato, Currywurst, FdG, Musashi, Iowa - all kinda not worried too much. But Missouri, well... not happy to see it on the red team. It's definately a strong ship.
