I find I use them once or twice per game... or even not at all. The only thing I use them for is DDs or maybe finish off a cruiser or something. Indeed I never have hit a citadel with them, and DDs are hit-or-miss. That is why I use the HVAR thingies, generally I get more damage and fires from those. But even a DD gets torps and bombs from me. No matter RN or US CV.

There's a trick too, when you move sideways the reticule spreads out... I USE THIS to make sure I hit a cruiser really front-to-back... instead of a small part.

I think Beast Of War knows quite some stuff. But hey El2azer is the Dark Lord of CV... so...

That's right, usually they don't find the cannon anyway and it might as well be made of TNT or air or titties. But the closer you can put it... the more you can farm. And on some maps you better watch it. That said I go through the middle on the Two Brothers map with CV... usually works great, too. 20190601_162411_PASA108-Lexington_20_NE_two_brothers.wowsreplay

Well nobody ever managed to sink me either (and it's full-on glass cannon build). However you have something of a point. Because 1 out of 10 they somehow manage to sneak up in a DD. But... Usually though they don't kill me... if I notice them (note: NEVER depend on your team to notice them). Sometimes there's two DDs. Sometimes even two DDs and a cruiser. Once I had a BB, as well. Two DDs... OK... the rest of it, my team potatoed so hard... well... (murdered one DD and the BB for another 50 k though). I see your point but there's not many other CVs trying as they are too busy farming. I had ONE that tried, and then my glass cannon ended up being bigger than his.

Is this how CVs are intended to be "balanced"?
BLUB__BLUB replied to KielYourself's topic in General Discussion
Well, you do. Not right away, but after two squads dead (and nothing gained) you'll think twice. Of course you could throw the 3rd squad too. If they are a bit far, then the first squad may have even replaced. But if you do that, you'll end up with a sh..load of service cost and no score. Meanwhile those AA cruisers shoot up your DDs and rack up the plane kills. It's not smart to attack AA ships, but you CAN do it. Similar it's not smart to attack non-pre-fried BBs. If they are pre-roasted their AA gets less... sometimes though it was AP... and then, dakkadakka there goes the squad. Also... I'm doing about the same damage in a Cv as in a BB. I think CVs are like Conqkek a bit. And usually I get sunk the same way. Came to close to a cruiser or a sneaky DD puts your butt full of torps. -
Gamemode Proposal: Nation vs Nation Team Battles
BLUB__BLUB replied to Captn_Crap's topic in General Discussion
I'd even say limit it to T6-7-8 or something, as higher tiers are much much stronger. So you can take either Allied or Axis ships, to a 'max total of 100 points' or something. And then team can ALSO take more ships if they are all T6, depending on max points. So you can take all T8, but might face a multiple of T6 ships. Say you'd take Bismarck and Gneisenau, but that would count as 3 T6 BBs? You'd face 3x New Mexico. That would make it more fun IMO. You mean, an on-going battle where you can just jump in. Excellent. -

We'll see what I can do, not too sure yet. I have a Conqkek and that is quite OK. When I play T8 CV we win 9/10... I do not mind losing a bit of credit though, sometimes. The most annoying is the 'camping'in TX, starts at T8... I like to chase them out... -

BLUB__BLUB replied to KielYourself's topic in General Discussion
Yes, indeed better not have Kaga... I can still do 50-100k damage in a TX game in Lexington. I have plenty credits... no need for that. But I'll only play TX when I have a premium account running. Will get the Ark Royal though... but not for the credits. -
Is this how CVs are intended to be "balanced"?
BLUB__BLUB replied to KielYourself's topic in General Discussion
Ah. Well that remains to be seen, I did that a few times. Dragging the other CV along is just as easy or difficult as dragging a potato BB along. The problem is when both CVs are same level/ability - then they both will suck as there is not enough targets for them. Even worse if you are a T6 CV and the other CV is T8, you will score not much as the T8 eats all the nice CV-food... -

Did not forget it.... but I do not have it... also... Enterprise is much stronger than my Lexington or Furious. -

BLUB__BLUB replied to KielYourself's topic in General Discussion
That is incorrect: GOOD CVs still have great influence, bad ones do not mean you'll have a guaranteed loss. Not sure what you mean there. Hell yeah. Though it will NOT save you if some dude like me in a CV really wants you dead. It will make sure though I'll probably eat other fish first. It's nt that hard either... just more risky as CV have a big behind. I mean, buttsecks and all. I can also do Cits with HE bombs on most cruisers.... and on some BBs. IJN CVs have AP bombs, so does Graf Zepp. All CVs have very quick and endless DCP. Automated, but still. -
Is there a potato magnet on this map ?

Submarines! Submarines! Submarines! Gimme submarines! -
I'd not say it is too strong, but if you know how to use it (and get the chance) it is damn good. Better than Furutaka or Aoba. If you do not like cruisers though... better leave it.

Well, if you get too much Jingles then you can always shut him off, like the Azur lane weebies-things. @MrConway makes me think of another thing... please do not put him in same group as those... It would mean when I want Jingles I also get them girlie-whirlies...
-
He has one himself, now what does that say.
-
We do... no way he can say "we just sunk an enemy cruiser" and this being the case indeed. He should say "we just sunk something.... ehhh... I think it was a battleship". Or just "did we just sink something, I think we did". Also, maybe you can change the torpedo alarm to "torpedo beat music'.
-
Well, maybe you should check MY stats then... nobody can accuse me of being "high skill"... https://wows-numbers.com/player/552033702,BLUB__BLUB/?type=div2 The 'trick' is not to expect hitting anything good at max range. At close range (< 10k) you aim carefully for the citadel of cruisers. BBs you usually cannot pen their citadel unless they are very close... but you CAN pen their superstructure and anything that is NOT a citadel. Mind that AP will NOT work on anything angled - no matter BB or cruiser. But if you get a flat side... hell yeah! The HE is great for everything else. But remember it is a glass cannon - you'll do better if you do not play the HERO at the start. Or... maybe you DO play the hero - I always follow my DD-main divmate. And then I shoot everything that prevents him from capping. Mind the angling... and watch when to move... BBs (especially the fat higher tier ones) will pen you and delete you and it doesn't matter much how you angle.

DUUUUDEEEE it already is quite powerful...

I think they have the wrong plane there, too - should be a Hawker Osprey unless they did the early version of the ship. Looks more like a Fairy Flycatcher indeed.

Tired of very limited rotation Operations
BLUB__BLUB replied to Beastofwar's topic in General Discussion
They could have saved themselves A LOT of trouble: most operations 'work two ways' so just put players in the other side... I'd love to play "Carrier King" in Narai. @MrConway -
Yeah admit it... you wanna give him a thumbsup... but you cannot get yourself to press that button...

By now there should be a mod-pack that changes the voices... I even have one for my Tom-Tom device. Most games have it. Jeezzz!

Which is the clumsiest behemoth in the game ?
BLUB__BLUB replied to AirSupremacy's topic in General Discussion
I also have Texas, Arizona, Colorado (which I think is the worst) and... Conqueror. IMO Mushi is the worst one at TX, it is easiest to hit. I'm a bit clumsy in Hood indeed - it is so fast I'll usually crash in into an island or the map border... -
Which forum members have you seen in random battles?
BLUB__BLUB replied to Cobra6's topic in General Discussion
I did try RTS CV, but the interface was horribly laggy and stuttery. I didn't see it fit to pursue them... You probably have more captain points and spent them differently... I play a lot 'English style' which is, from short distance. I rarely use boost when not attacking, this may be a probable cause, too. I tend to use more BRAKE than boost. Usually to shorten the torpedo run, while 'jumpshotting' 3 ships with torps. And also using BRAKE to drop bombs 'at the last moment'.
