    THIS, @MrConway is the problem. Seems you only consider the T10 carriers. Same stuff happens with T6 carriers. You still plan to sell ARk Royal, no?

    Yeah IMO there's 2 ways to play Conqkek, either go close (use full stealth) and use the AP or range and set everything on fire with HE. But she's squishy like hell same as the lower tiers after Queen E. Although not as bad as Nelson...

    I have most of those, and will use them depending on how it goes. Well, I have Mahan, Fiji, Helena and Lyon anyway. No Flint yet... Oh and I have Lolorado - might be good for some whackers. However... HOOD is the first that comes to mind... loving it... Depending on free respec my DD-specialized-teammate (do we get divisions?) will use whatever he has farking around & captained to the max. He went the heavy line T7 US cruisers and has more cruisers than I do.

    I'll reverse that a bit, CVs are in the game, and are here to stay - we'll get subs too, no doubt. It is a selling thing for WG, and well, everybody playing group A has something against group B. BB players want no DDs, DD players want no CA, et cetera. That poll is not going to happen. However... radar ships and gunboats are IMO "decent" solutions (mind the radar-through-mountain and the amount/workings of it is crap though IMO). The nerf to flooding indeed isn't, and that is where we agree. And sure they do want the "immunity button". They sort of have it, too. DEF AA and fighters. But EVEN instead of BUFFING THAT BUTTON it's now "all are immune". Damn. WG can think up great stuff but the balancing is usually done with a blunt axe.

    The problem was GOOD players VS BAD players, in CV. They did solve that problem: a good CV cannot shut down/kill a bad CV anymore. AKA yes he still can, but it will cost him all game, and he will be shut down himself as a result. That's good. And IMO they did it in such a way it is (visually etc) more attractive to players that like this sort of game. Which is also GOOD. We see more people playing CV and that is what they wanted. GOOD. But... What they are doing now is IMO just giving in to whiners that are saying a CV does too much damage. And they are doing it wrong. Instead of giving the whiners a way of defending themselves, they have just raised the AA to insane levels - so, instead of A BETTER DEFENCE METHOD they decreased whiner-vulnerability. It is like building a bigger bunker, and then coming up with a bigger bomb, and again a bigger bunker, and again.... All this because a SMART player knows how to HIT the door of the bunker ad a DUMB player doesn't even know how to hit the bunker. Which is IMO natural - a better player should win. Else it is a graphic version of "roll the dice". No skill involved, roll the dice and see who scores the highest points. But... wutwutwut... now they just made a FATTER bunker. While what they should have done is give the bunker a way to move/hide the door.

    Well, too bad for them tyhen - they'll have to PAY ME to play CV how it is now. Because I'm losing loads of credits... and basically I am just a big fat useless torpedo. I suppose they will draw conclusions from CVs being 90% gone, too. That is correct - but really, why other ships have 25% survival rate is because they need to COME CLOSE (and get blasted) to score well enough. In Conqueror I can get a survival rate of 90%, easy. Will I do damage worth a damn? Maybe. Help the team win? Not likely. How will they replicate that with CVs... risk of losing planes for big damage? Going closer, faster plane spawn, and risk getting sunk? Big damage cannot be done... worthless torps, meh fire... OK maybe not in T10 CV. Getting closer doesn't help either if you'll get deplaned... just saying.. WG is doing it WRONG.

    Yes, setting sector and that's it is just plain stupid. In the old days at least you could KLICK a squadron and it would get it. That said, I just had my whole T6 squad mowed down by a BAYERN. No matter how zig-zag I went. Well. And after that a Sinop. OK. Means I now have a large torpedo, and that's about all it is.

    Well, I dunno and I don't care, T6/7 is where the fun is anyway. Always was, too. The only thing I play T10 for is so I can do CB with my mates. Once I have the ones I like I'll just sell any ships T8/9 except ones that I really like. Which, so far... is NONE.

    Well now why would he do that... Basically half the damage I could do in a game is gone, but what I get is those planes are certainly gone too - 90% of the player base will be happy right? Since the patch I have seen almost no CVs... good luck WG getting stat on that. All you will see is the VERY BEST and the most STUPID players (I guess that's me).

    Yes, and in the past if you hunted the CV well you needed to follow the returning planes. NOW you cannot follow the planes.... PLUS in the past if you were hunting CV you'd better bewware, as he had the power to delete you. Now, not so much... one DD can be handled, two cannot and bring a CA/CL or a BB... he's dead.

    Effective as in "had better chances in lottery". Because: what were you aiming for with those torps... Guaranteed you'd never hit anything that you were aiming for. So, in fact they were moving seamines. And yes they have been nerfed, well the money's devalued too, so...

    20km torps were never 'effective weapons', they always were lottery tickets disguised as moving seamines.

    IMO in a CV it is/was (?) too easy to do good consistently. CV hunting should be possible, too - risk vs reward. Right now the CV is too stealthy IMO. Planes return should lead you to the CV. And when DDs or CL gets you, then it should be a fight (which it usually is not, now, more like 'defend & run for you r life'). And no ship should not be 'universally good'. DDs should be little AA monsters - which they were in real life too. NOT poor things that need protection by 2,5 km disappearing for rockets and stuff.

    Agreed... the thing is, DDs were often used to get EXTRA AA FIREPOWER.... LOL. So, actually they should be sort of unapproachable by planes (and MOST had DP guns...). Then after that, CA/CL should have less AA than a DD (unless it is one with DP guns like Atlanta). BBs should have the same AA as a CL, but since they are bigger, less effective (superstructure being in the way and all). This 'reverse engineering' by WG has stupid effects. We should have much more DDs in game, like 4-5. Then 4-6CL/ CA and maybe 2-3 BBs. But look waht we get. Some games do not even have DDs.

    That's a nice big hole, what was that? On the BBs I get 20-25% b hitrate, on CA/CL 30-35% so I think not bad. The thing is though I always need a few rounds to get used top the guns again. But when I do, devstrike cruiser is not a rare thing, neither is blapping DDs.

    I usually do - when I play a ship for a while, some sort of 'mechanic' sets in. Mostly I do not have th think about it and usually I hit (if RNGesus likes me).

    I think they don't need a new class to unbalance the whole lot, they're doing fine unbalancing the old ones.
