    Took me some thinking... Yes you are right. Like AP shells, HE does zero damage on shatters, 1/3 damage on normal penetrations, and max damage on citadel penetrations. https://wiki.wargaming.net/en/Ship:Gunnery_%26_Armor_Penetration I do not recall saying that either, but he had 3 overpens in that last shot - so assuming they landed somewhere on the ship, that was so thin they overpenned, it is likely that if they had been HE they'd have penned. SO: 3x. One AP hit on citadel would do 11,6K. But the question is, would you hit it? I think you'd not, with Bismarck. If he used HE he'd have 9K form that shot. Which is more than twice what he apparently got.

    I'm kinda surprised he had three salvoes with more than 4 hits each salvo. Definately he knows how to aim and/or sacrificed many sheep. Hitting a citadel, well I think he needs to sacrifice at least an elephant. Maybe a rhino, too. I'm thinking he knows, after a few thousand games. Hell, I know and I'm kinda slow learning on that point.

    Considering I play this game myself... I think you goy better, but teams got worse... definately. December last year I could still sort of 'save the game'. But currently, there is just no saving potatoes that go Blobkrieg and get picked off one by one.

    TBH statistically this makes a lot of sense, even if you take the (likely) fact that WG will fark around with the numbers. I agree you have a lot of sensible ideas - and I can understand your frustration totally. RTS CV-players (the ones that DID play it) were a lot better... you'd have to be else you'd get deleted at start game. Rework players do not have to deal with the enemy CV, as WG took that out of the equasion (OK, unless it is YOU vs some unsuspecting N00b like me). Also, so far damage dealing/killing was quite easy if you knew a few tricks.

    As said... I had a Bismarck completely miss me at < 10 km many times. And I sure wasn't in a small DD... I think it 'splatters' instead of 'shoots'.

    Errr, no. Read again. This time put on the glasses. Actually normally you wouldn't. I'd dfinately shoot AP when in Hood, count on a few citadels. But if you have Bismarck... count on overpens, because you'll be REALLY lucky to get a citadel. I'd get overpens with Hood too f if I miss the citadel (but I will not miss...).

    I hit them plenty in a Conqkek... citadel no problem. But I have seen Bismarck miss my whole Conqkek at 7km... so... Yes I can believe he'll not hit a cit in 3 salvoes. In fact I think it's likely...

    Here's the problem: -1. you hit plenty good enough (surprising as Bismarck has troll s dispersion and can miss the side of a barn), but most are overpens --> use the HE. AP overpens on broadside cruisers unless you manage to hit the citadel. A very hard (and very lucky) job with Bismarck. HE will not overpen. In that case: 3 pens + 3 (non over!)pens = 6 x 4400 damage for that same salvo. - 2. Him hitting you for 4-6K must be him shooting your superstructure and getting overpens or shooting like crap. As his max damage from an AP shell is 9.000 PER SHELL you were lucky. And yes he can citadel you, too.

    You couldn't charge at a Blobkrieg Bunch before anyway, even if they were all your own tier. Might be able to pick out one lower tier if he was at the edge of the bunch or do a jumpshot. However those jumpshots took time... OK if you have AP bombs, for the rest not so much. Now it is even a "skill" to pick out a lone, lower tier BB. TWO TIERS lower would be advisable. Not even a same-tier DD is "safe picking". Wrong move... all dead. Two DDs? No way. They already were. But, granted there were still hacks to exploit (like the jumpshot thing). Maybe I;m not good enough, because even if I'm T8 and the rest is T9 I hardly manage to 'break even' on credits in a good game. Usually it is a ROFLSTOMP and even a win will leave a hole in the credits bank. And no matter how hard I try can't negate a loss.

    In a good game I can still do > 80K on Lexington which is plenty IMO (I make credits) or >60K on Furious or Ranger (both T6, haven;t got IJN and RN not yet at T8) - I also make credits. In fact when I am top tier and have lots of lower tiers it is not much of a problem unless you stuff it up. Or your team stuffs it up by letting some DDs (even cruisers and BBs) get through... but well... However, when uptiered (more than 75% in the T8...) I can't do bubkus. T6 is even worse, really. Get T8 game, and yo u are useless. So, on average with ROFLSTOMPS and potato teams combined, I get my carrier shot dead in 5 minutes and LOSE credits. DUH!! @MrConway please WG remember when nerfing CVs that T10 never faces higher tiers, but T4/T6/T8 usually will see them. I think they CAN BE a lot more balanced than they are now. After all this is an arcade game. SOME stuff can be made up. The speed of attacking/spotting planes neds to be nerfed enough for surface-players to have time to react & AA to work. Reason the FLAK isn't working is because planes are too fast. So, now we have VERY LARGE RNG bubbles... duh. Yes they say but when planes are slow then it would be boring - just give planes a 'cruising altitude' where they do not spot (one more problem solved). But you are right it has been too easy farming damage (while not doing a FF-ing thing to help your team win). I'm not that good (managed 62,5% WR last weekend in CV though...) but before the nerf 100k+ was easy in T8 CV... I could even do 100+ in Ranger and Furious... 63k in Langley... 50k in Hermes. Too easy. Then again, some stuff is just plain nuts. If I meet a DM or Mino at least I should be able to spo it before I get whacked. Like having a DD, and there's a Mino that shoots you half useless and even then you do not spot it but suspect it is there...

    yesterday had 12 more, after that 15 wins. I cannot save them anymore with CV. Well and I couldn't save anything with Conqkek anyway, so... BTW t delivered enough dupes to complete the collection, now I have the Azuma with the big boobies.

    Steering mod 2.....

    Lots of BBs bowcamping.... going FWD/RWD a lot. I took the steering mod for Conqkek... use that as a battlecruiser TBH. Close (12.3 concealment, that's how) and shooting AP mostly. Yeah I'm weird.

    You are right oh masterrrrr El2azerrrrr.... But I believe this is because one CV can only fight one battle. After he has killed all the available ships there is no more XP to harvest. I think best would be one CV each party, and rest of the ships being Conqkek. Imagine what you can harvest when you allow them all to heal back before you do the mercy-killing.

    I think that is a GREAT idea... and also that way they can fix the IDEA of having Cvs only at even tiers. For example Saratoga could be T9, with a bit more modern stuff than Lexington.

    I know. But I still got only 2-3 (and sometimes ONLY ONE) flak bursts when diving in on a ship. Now, how is THAT supposed to work. Just one, two or three bursts - totally avoidable. Which is ONE reason why it should take longer. Also, to dive in takes < 10 seconds... how is the attacked surface-player ever going to counter that? Which is ANOTHER reason to make it slower. For example, incoming fire from far away takes more seconds, you can dodge. And THOSE SHELLS cannot change direction once fired... I think it would work fine. You'd g have the same spotting ability everybody else has (the minimap), but you'd be able to 'make your steerable bullets spot for you'. Now, that's still OP. But you'd risk them, too. Suppose there's a blank space and you decide to spot... and dammit you found the Minotaur and the Worcester... Nothing needs to change in the "travelspeed" they have now (as such, it would be a nerf). Yes they COULD make it faster if they think CV needs more damage chance (buff). They could also make a delay for change from 'travel' to 'attack mode' and vice-versa. Could even make an air raid siren on ships that get spotted by planes, so they know PLANES INCOMING. Then make the planes go slower when they enter attack mode. BTW I'm pretty sure some will complain anyway. You'd be "too high" (or behind clouds) to spot anything. But you also would not be seen (except on the minimap?). Or maybe you'd only be spotted by the red CVs planes, when they are also up high. Another way to balance stuff. Maybe make it so some AA cruisers can spec to shoot planes even there. FLAK above clouds. There's ENDLESS ways to balance stuff AND make it fun. Currently it is an RNG shitefest (and yes I play CV too).

    They do not have to if WG would just listen. They need to NERF PLANE SPEED whne planes 'perform action'. There is no way AA can do the job if you keep adding speed to planes. RNG-damage needs time to sink in. But they will not slow down planes as this is boring (OK maybe it is). takes too long to get to target. Then why don't they just make 'cruise height', where planes get fast to the place you want them to (but NO SPOTTING) and a slower 'attack height', where you CAN spot and attack? You could spot all day long - but would be vulnerable, too. Same thing that higher tier ships have LESS chance to catch fire, and MORE chance to set fires (more guns, usually). This means a double-kicker for lower tiers. I can understand the AP, but if they had REVERSED fire chance the lower tiers would have a chance. As in, lower tiers have less pen so more fire chance - and a lower chance to catch fire. Means when you have a T8 and end up in T10, they'd have to use more AP. And you;d have to use more HE. Instead now, the T10s best use HE as you will catch fire faster. And you CANNOT return the favour.
