    I see the little bar, have no way of knowing if that is a citadel or what. The only one that knows if that was a (one?) citadel is the one that hit you. It might be hard for you to understand, maybe. But no that's not clear. Also is it fully spaded & fully flagged. Does it run the premium heal and the commander skills. But read that other thread, are they all wrong there? The WOWS Wiki does say 10% indeed, but they say WG might have forgotten to update it. WIki also talks about "waterline citadel" and that is surely from before last "balance". Now I do get lots of whacking citadel hits - and I suppose that with each citadel hit there's also pens and overpens and whatever. But I don't know what gets hit - how many citadels, pens or whatever. I just know that form below 50% it can heal up again to 90% no problem. But that would mean I'm still not taking many citadels when broadside. Hmmm. I know I am, I can hear the "bazooommm-deafening" sound. You might be right - but that would mean the other guys are wrong. Could be. But it would ALSO mean that WG Wiki is right. Now... that makes it a bit iffy. I suppose there's more savvy guys than me @MacArthur92 is this still the case? Note - ACFAIK these were the nerfs and buffs that were given. Notser @56 seconds (but that's a WIP version, dunno if they really did it): EDIT: nothing about over 10% here either. Might be you are right - which is not surprising, you're quite savvy. Might also be WG Wiki is right. Now THAT WOULD BE surprising. As would be surprising that Mc Arthur is wrong and Excavatus also. (also, it would mean that getting cits on Conqkek is still quite hard. I'm abusing it a lot in CB. Broadsiding galore... ).

    Indeed, supposed both are detected. But if they are both spamming from map border... I'd say none of them manages to kill the other.

    It doesn't do you any good. If you kill the ship or get it in perfect condition after the game doesn't matter. The service cost (credits) are the same. So you might as well try something heroic or whatever, to get some credits back. When you are in a DD, yolo-rush and kill the fattest BB you can find, for example. Or go around back and kill the CV... If any consolance, on the reds there is a guy just like you - same sort of ship, same bad MM.

    I got one two days ago. Sat in smoke, but he kept shooting. Rocket - DETONATION.... DD player was having a laugh too: "thanks for reminding me, at least now I have ten more of those flags".

    NO MERCY! there is no use for it - it will not cost any more credits (service cost), if you live or die, or damage the ship to the max or have it in pristine condition. When you get killed pretty early - just take another ship. You do not have to wait. When the game is lost, battle on and farm damage as you wish - or go broadside in front of nearest BB. They earned the win, and deserve to have your HP if you can't prevent it. RUN, if you like. Or take it like a... whatever.

    Same here. You could however have a checkbox that says "good map" or "bad map". Uhhhh I have no doubt though 90% of the maps will be "BAD".... Probably only the top 3 of the winning team thinks map was good...

    The thing for CB is, what do you meet most of all on the reds. AKA - what is it that you have to counter. I have no doubt it is Kremlin. Since the rest sort of is "get cruisers bow-in hugged against an island and spam HE", well.. Even if the Kremlin shoots Conq broadside (and I have let that happen... on purpose...) he'll take away ~40%. %100 heal of all HE pens, fire damage, flood damage %90 of non citadel AP damage %60 of citadel damage ...and upto 40+K repairs in one heal, of which you have 4 if you get the Premium consumable. IMO there is no better counter than Conqueror for that. Conqkek is much better against Kremlin than Thunderer. The heal is just so absolutely stupid, imbecilic and ludicrous.

    Well basically it is not a "ship build" but a team build. Can't believe you seriously did this though. But we did it "to the max", Conqkek rammed into C-cap and took full damage, Smolly behind her. Three Klebbies in a wolfpack, for get A-cap straight to B and YueYang+Hindy roaming free... (and yes storm came in... we did not care... as we were right on their lip...)

    And keep his sanity??? In two years, you'll be playing Clan Battles (if you are a regular player: much sooner). That is what you want the steel for: some of those ships are REALLY wanted in CB. The "rare" ships, are now becoming available for coal - and they are just amusing, anyway. It's not like they are THAT good. Mostly it seems they are good, because players that have them are good (or at least decent+lots experience). Therefore if you meet them in Randoms, you can expect them to do quite well.

    Agreed on the space ships, horror movies and manga. However, WW2 is a part of ship history - after that, we got the same ships but with different weapons. Upto the time we have now stealth-ships and all that. Some ships do not even carry weapons anymore, they just STEER them. I do think (probably same as you do) the tiers are kinda wrong, and they shpould have started earlier. Pre-dreadnought BBs and stuf... yummie! And then separate them, so a WW1 ship never sees a WW2 ship. Don't worry too much yet. WG is testing, and I'm quite sure they'll invent some anti-sub stuff as well. Like ASDIC (we already have hydro...), degaussing-captain-skills, and everybody gets depthcharges. Even most BBs could throw a couple of cans overboard. Hedgehog-launchers, that is something else. I agree though that subs should be able to kill eachother. Even if it's only by a ram. DDs have always been the most fun and active ships. WG should definitely give them something to whack subs. And yes perhaps they'd see their BBs now as a "magnet for attracting shootable stuff" instead of just a burden.

    Yes that's probably a thing. You could avoid that by using a "test server". That way you'd not have to pick out "balance"- it would show up in the ratings. If it sucks, well, then it sucks. The thing that you WOULD have to do is check compliance. As in: does it have holes that ships fall through (islands that are not blocking torps...). But the "small things" would become clear during these tests, too - so really, the check would be "does it crash the server". And then a few games, and put it on the test server. Note: a lot of conflicting stuff could be avoided if you'd add a "mod pack"- mainly a set of rules, as "what goes where". It would be advisable to make a bunch of textures (including mip-maps) , too - maybe just make those the only ones allowed to be used. This would help prevent the use of weird formats and wrong names, which usually make stuff "no worky" or going borked. I think you underestimate the degree of knowledge/ability of (some of) those that play the game a bit... I myself have made a few tracks that were even used in "league racing" (sort of like Clan Battles, but with cars...). A whole lot to check there... we had vehicles come out black and such stuff... orange grass because some dude named his texture "grass01_coarse.dds"... Or a track giving 1 FPS... because he had it all glued together, no LODs and all that...
  18. Actually I did reply to that, said i'd kill them all. Usually I do, while the AI-pilot sends the CV the other way, I keep bombing/torping them. Those games I get 100k+. Unfortunately the AI pilot decided he didn't want to go in a circle, and while I was not looking he started to go backward/forward... Yeah they did better than me (still 50K though LOL).
  19. Today I met @Cyclops_ sailing his Nelson on the randoms, he had a buddy with him. I had too, and of course I spawned sideways with my nose in the wrong direction - AKA the whole team lemminged the other way. DUHH!!! That was not really a problem, neither was half the enemy team that was coming for me. I'd kill them... except... Well, the problem was when the drunk WG-auto-pilot decided he'd do something else than "full speed turn around"... Still make almost 50K, but sunk early. Cyclops and his buddy and my buddy still carried the team to victory...

    Well, I think there should be more to the game than just three caps and slaughter each other. And it can be done, too. In operations we also get assistance from BOTS, and in some you first have to kill the other warships, then the convoy is yours - and then they try to kill the convoy. Also, in the Halloween event you had to escort a "transport". Maybe because by now everyone has done them just about 100 times. I have, but I still like to do some (like Narai). Even though I already have the 5 stars. They should de-bug them and bring them all back.

    You can scale up or down if necessary. Also, I'm quite sure if there would be a "mod maker" map thingy WG could just pick the best, and then reward the maker with a freemium ship or something. @MrConway how about it? I'm quite sure I can make maps myself, I have 3DSmax and used to make maps for race games (tracks). With all the crud (movable, collidable, see-through, corridors, AI-lines, et cetera) going on there, this cannot be any harder. I have plenty idiot ideas, too - how about a map with some shallow zones. DDs can go there, most cruisers cannot. BBs sure can't. Sometimes there would be a kinda flat island sticking out with some rocks. Sometimes I'm kinda tempted to crack the whole thing and try if I can make some maps. The thing is those need to be uploaded to the server in order to really work. Maybe I'll do it and people will freak out at seeing their favourite ships in their favourite game, planted at some strange scenery...

    Could be a convoy, and then have the harbour forts chip in. It's just an example though, but this sort of map is what I'd like. You'd have to run a convoy north to south or try to destroy it. Sort op like "scenario operations", but players on both sides.

    I'd like to see maps 4x as big, and with BIG islands like "two Brothers". Or a map that is actually a channel. With a harbour that you'd have to take, or a convoy to protect. With forts and other stuff that shoots at you, unless you control that area.
