Yeah they tried me a few times. Only got me once. When in Shokaku, and then they had two Musashis and a CV. Other CV vs different ship combo, not so much success. Tier 10 CV, 100% nope. Armoured deck...

If they are T6 well I'll be spamming the Ark Royal even more. Let's see what actually gives.

The last one was more for Tier 10. Let them that have the through-island-radar keep the guided-torp-crap there, too. I dunno what is wrong with a bit of realism. Like with CVs and DDs, the older torps, half of them were duds. So, let RNG decide which ones are duds. Give them a "brown" trail instead of white. Make their "icon" blink/yellow? And then give captain skill for "more effective torps", call it something like "loverocket master". Same with subs. Older subs were 90% surface. Last subs (modern) 90% under water. I dunno why you need that 'electric power supply BS', just have air supply run out on the older ones, like they had at first. The most utter BS is that a sub has to ping a ship, for the torp to hit. WTF how is the sub supposed to control the torpedo, yes after WW2 they had wired torps. But they also acquired target themselves, after wire broke, torpedo was nobodies friend...

Yes can. If you'd play CVs you know. You can still call fighters when CV is dead. How they take off, well, must be floatplanes... This is the problem: there are no uneven tier CVs. It's a WG fail.

Never played it (no test invite) but I agree. Subs hat stay down forever --> Argghhh. Guided torpedo ---> Argghhhh.

@Migantium_Mashum LMAO I just got the very same thing. I chose RESOURCES, I get 4 flags, 500FXP and 400 coal. WG... you are drunk...
  7. BLUB__BLUB

    Signals.

Well, I see the problem a bit more clearly now: 400 coal will not get you many flags, even if you consider then you can actually choose which ones. So you could actually get 2 flags or so with that coal, then again, it is a hassle and you'd rather get FOUR than two.
  8. Ah, but there's a thing. Indeed it will even out. Because the other team can be stupid, too. What will NOT even out is you get crappy damage in such short games. And you'll learn less.
  9. BLUB__BLUB

    Signals.

Yeah I get that. If you want flags, you do not want to get any other crud. But exactly that is why I take coal: I do not want WG to give me (for example) 200 detonation flags, while I do not play Dds. Free XP must be annoying when you already have all the ships, too. What are you gonna do with it?

That is where Ark Royal is very very good. Killing DDs. But you need GitGud to really murder BBs. WG never stops to amaze.
  11. BLUB__BLUB

    CV Lines

Yes, but in some ships they will fail harder than others. I needed a big amount of GitGud to learn Ark Royal. I would not recommend it at all to the average potato. Indeed these are the good points. But you can only use them if you're a bit savvy with CVs. If you are not, you will not even get the first load dropped on anything, except a Yolo-DD. But well, there's plenty of those, so...
  12. BLUB__BLUB

    Signals.

AH, that I understand. But... the problem I do not understand. Yes I always klick "resources" and what I get is indeed MAINLY resources. The rest... I can't change them back for coal. But I can buy flags for coal. That way, if you want flags and you get coal - it means "pick your own choice". I think it is better than wanting coal and getting flags... For example. Would you be happier to get coal, or rather have 20 more ramming flags (of which you already have 200). But the FXP... yes... you'd rather get what you actually wanted.

About Hidenburg... and a little venting too.

What I actually meant... the RN cruisers never need IFHE (as they only have AP) so that is why you can get away with a captain that has less points.
  14. BLUB__BLUB

About Hidenburg... and a little venting too.

I failed to pen Stalin in a Conquerror. Went WTF. Then after that I blapped one straight out. Went WTF again. You sure it isn't just RNGesus wanting more sheep. We all know WG and German RNG.
  15. BLUB__BLUB

About Hidenburg... and a little venting too.

If you try that kinda stuf, in my experience they're already broken a long time. I never got torped by a Hipper unless I was stupid. OK yes I can be stupid...
  16. BLUB__BLUB

About Hidenburg... and a little venting too.

You deserve a whipping. Any T9 cruiser should at least have a 17 point captain. T10 a 19 pointer is almost obligatory, very few ships (mostly RN cruisers...and Smolly) get away without one. FWIW I love Nürnberg and that other floating citadel Koningsberg. Just that I love blapping them more when playing BB, and it seems that many more love it as well.... Yes, playing with food is a really really bad thing...
  17. I'd call it more like "derp AA". Some even know a trick how to use it. Got a few divved-up IKEA-DDs today, they had their AA off and moved in triplets/pairs. Then when I came near (Kaga rockets) they opened up. Still got one shot in. Then I came back with torps and dropped fighters... I only had to finish off one, after that. Not like they can't get me, because they can. I got whacked three times today. Granted it was my own fault, stupid me thinking my team wouldn't be that dumb to let 3 DDs pass. Or rather me getting greedy and thinking it would be OK. Well... Also in one game I killed 2 DDs and a cruiser AND a BB that were coming for me. This time I was smarter, I moved the CV (LOL). So, they will try. But no chance unless I'm stupid. Sometimes I think i should let them, because it saves me chasing... But I'm blabbering too much. Back to the subject. There is no strong AA. There is only delay of the inevitable. And any player that is a bit savvy will deal with it. Players that whine and just want their farming to be un-inhibited will say there is strong AA. However I can fail-div Ark Royal into T9 and will still do 80k. And I'm not THAT good. What strong AA? Thing is, stuff that will nerf potaters harder than unicums, will not have the desired effect. El2azer is right though, you DO NOT balance on the worst players. If you do, THIS is what you get. Like pigeons playing chess, they crap all over the board and claim that they have won (and WG condones that...). AA bothers me in such a way, that I have to "balance" losses vs time vs damage done. If given enough time (and if I can keep on running/hiding), I'm sure can kill any T10 in a T6 CV. The only thing I'm not sure of is if I can keep outrunning him... now, balance that.
  18. BLUB__BLUB

    Signals.

I'm quite sure I can buy them for coal though. So not quite sure what you mean.
  19. He is correct and I'll tell you why. It will njot help a thing against good CV-players, but it will nerf the not-so-good players into the ground.
  20. That's it man. Think about it and you'll get better. Every time you get whacked, think about what went wrong. I like that you think "those islands blocking my way of fire", and now you think about it "hey they actually also block my enemies fire". Actually, you will find out HOW and WHERE you can sit so that the island covers you, but you can still shoot. That is called A GOOD POSITION. Then there's the torps. You say 20 torps coming towards you. Well guess what. Somebody dumped them there, aiming for you. Play a DD and see how they work. You will find that in DDs you can come pretty close, but the ships wil not see you yet. But you will see that fat BB. And you can aim your torps. If he keeps going same speed and direction... BOOMSHANKA. SO, if YOU are that fat BB... you change speed and direction, regularly. Especially when you can see (in the team-lineup) that every team has 6 DDs, or something... You need to learn all these things... because they get lots more brutal if you go higher tiers. So stick to the lower tiers first, play all classes, and find which ones you like to play. Make sure you get good at one ship, before going for the next. Because at T6, 7, 8... you will meet dudes like me. And I know the game very very well. I have played more battles in most ships than your total.. so I know what they can do. I also have them all fully upgraded, with camo, and with a fat captain that has many skills. So you are not gonna have fun when I am on the red team in my Arizona. But... you'll also have no fun when you are WITH me in my Arizona. because there are 12 others like me on the other side... and I am not THAT good... and after 3 minutes then you are gone, and it is 11 vs 12... Hey and guess what. I get those teams too. Even at T10 they exist. I know. Give you an example: I was in my big fat Carrier, and >>100k damage, 3 kills. We had two caps, 5 ships left and the enemy have 3. We have 700 points, enemy have 300. The enemy ships were behind their cap. They were scared and hiding behind a big island, and we killed their carrier. We were gaining points, they were losing. All we had to do was have a beer, stay alive, and we win. Note: if you win, you get DOUBLE points reward for the game. So. What do you think. There go my teammates, one by one they go (YOLOOOO) and try take that 3rd cap. One by one they get shot, because enemy is behind the island. Ends up, all my teammates die and I get attacked by 3 BBs. Well duh! Why do they do that? Well... because... they are not like you. They never ask. They have ff-ed around and maybe even bought a T9 and now they are on my team. Yes the enemy team also had them... but the 3 good ones survived... and in the end they came for me! So... if you really want to get good... do not go up the lines too quick. If you are sick of your teammates (they do...) pick co-op for a while and learn the ship. You will learn to shoot very accurately if you practise there. And if you want better win-chance, bring friends (not those that went up very fast) and form a division. Then YOU will be one of those 3 sitting behind the island, but winning in the end (and killing half the team).

Actually I'm doing better in IJN... well, before last weekend ruined my WR in Shokek, that is. the point is he likes them, and he aks if they're any good. IMO they are - and if you are an average player, they certainly are. Does, but there's no way that would be a matter for the average player. CVs have been nerfed into oblivion and you need to be very good to carry a match in one. But... IF you are very good, yes then take IJN or US. Although if you can put out enough damage and know where to put it - RN will have no trouble. That's not how you do it in RN CVs. You wear them down, preferably your buddies need to do the kill-securing. Also, you might consider that RN very good at killing DDs. Which wins games, too. Furthermore... how many AP-bombs (or HE-bombs) will the average player hit? Have a look at the winrates. The average player does better in RN CV. Sure I agree it has less carrying potential. But if the average player can use 90% of 55, is still better than 60% of a possible 60. Killing DDs is what RN Cvs do best. IMO much easier than the others. Nuking Bbs... well not so much. If you keep attention, you can take large chunks though. Larger than even AP-bombs can, because their RNG... well... nope. RN carpet bombers can't miss a DD, let alone a cruiser or BB. Usually you get a fire, often two. It is a matter of managing when you d bomb something. But yes, if you are the better player then better take IJN or US. I'd not say so... as long as you make them hit. Though the T8, well, I do not call it the Implodable or whatever for nothing. maybe you're just not that good with them, IMO they never fail much. The last part yes, first part - well not so much. The first part, only if you aim well. We recently had a discussion here about DDs and US HE-divebombers. Thing is you reckon topicstarter is already an acclaimed hitter. Which he's not. So, sorry guys - you are right but still beside the point. Actually I think neither of you sees the difference between "the question that was asked" and the "being right". Such ask äsk competyent CFV-players". Yup. Those are the ones that use US HE-bombers to kill DDS. And then they use TT rockets to kill whatever else. However I think this IS helping topicstarter to get an idea of what good/bad is like. Take RN CV, lots of damage (easy, too) but harder to carry games and have influence. Then again, take IJN and yes lots of (possible) influence but if you do not aim well and RNGesus hates you, you can potato hard. \\\So, take US and have the best of both. Yes solid performers. On the average, doesn't make RN Cvs bad (though some of them are, indeed). Next time explain to topic starter how everyone is doing better than he is... do you get what I mean? Also: "...how it is from tier 4 to tier 10, its all the same thing". And he says he likes them. SO? Will you then explain, why it is that you say US CV is the way, and RN CV is just bad?

I agree on that, but it is not what the topicstarter asked. That is your opinion, THAT we agree on. If that's what you mean by "solid performer", allright. Again, look at the topicstarter. He can't get one. And if he's average he'll do better at T10 in any other than Midway... It does matter, because in no way is the topicstarter unicum. He needs advice what CV would be best for him and which ones to grind. RN Cvs are in no way inferior in the normal gameplay. I'd say he'll enjoy them just fine (some exceptions...). Although I consider it pretty much agreed that Indomitable sucks and Graf Zeppy is just for the unicums that want some LOLZ.

Is it possible to rent Premium CVs?

Also add the crashrate, if one had 61.3% satisfied (living) customers and the other one there were none to be found... TBH I think I'd be walking.

Since you state, further down, my performance in a ship does not matter nor does your own - well. I say nowhere that it cannot. Fires still works though, while pen may not - when uptiered. Even worse - fires take a percentage of the ships HP. SO when a T6 gets uptiered to T8, a fire makes MORE damage. That pen may just be not sufficient. Of course, T10 never gets uptiered, but hey. Actually yes they are. I included the stats for the general population, https://wows-numbers.com/. T6: US CV last. T8: Enterprise (no longer) first, Saipan fourth, Lexington bottom except for Graf Zeppelin. T10: Midway last. By quite a margin, difference is larger than between Haku/Audacious. Let's remember this also isn't about you.... So here's the stats from the general population. Maybe then YOU need some GitGud. Just kidding. Well dude. General stats say it is not. Indomitable comes 2nd after (OP and unobtainable) Enterprise. Reminder: "We don't measure CVs by how you are performing in them..." Besides, speed is very much important for Cvs that depend on DoT. Suppose you set fire to a BB. He puts it out. Can you be back before your buddies set the perma-fire? It makes a big difference if you can, because then YOU can set the perma-fires. Not even counting, the times that you are chugging back to that ship for the finishing, and while you are spotting it (takes long..;..) it gets "kill secured" before you do that last drop. It's not that I disagree with your thing about the Moskva. I'd just drop on the Currywurst, instead. It's not MY exclusion... WG took it out so it is of no use to topicstarter anymore. And yes it was (and still is, to those that have it) definitely OP AF, we agree there. But he won't get Enty unless he spends a zillion on X-mas crates. I think we also agree on that. Discussing Enty is therefore futile. IF he could get it, it would be the best, I think we both have no doubt about it. I do agree with you to a good extent, but well, you're kinda shooting yourself in the foot here: "We don't measure CVs by how you are performing in them...". Indeed we don't, and it is just my opinion on them. But don't go around telling like you're not just stating YOUR opinion on them. These ARE the general stats mate. People do NOT do that well in US CV. Even though you think they are "solid performers". That is just YOUR opinion. And you are plenty good. But your opinion is, well, your opinion. Probably you like the US CVs much more than some. Which is OK. But we don't measure CVs by how YOU are performing in them, either, I hope?
