Hahahalol and now I have found out. You can add a second account in the Wargaming center. It is where you have the option to add social media, google account and all that. But you do NOT add that. Then you just put THE SAME account. And then it launches. Or well, it launches but since the server-hamsters are dead, it doesn't find server. -

Well sometimes I don't understand what they say at all. You had to, when you installed the test server, else it would mess it up. Could not even register the test account with the same email-address. But I may have Fudge-ed that one up... not that savvy with those things. I think it is because when you login with your email there is already one game registered to that, so you cannot install. So you need the same password and then you get the same username. Might have been unwanted for the tests. Maybe they wanted it to be anonimous randomised test or something. I dunno. Also, my test account is from the CV test. Never received invitation for the subs. EDIT: gonna see if this works. It's downloading... -

Lately you get many ROFLSTOMPS that end under ten minutes. I'd say if you average 70k it's pretty good. Yes but they are scrawny and have many parts. If you hit a "part"(for example the torpedo tubes), you do damage but no score. It means you have just blasted their torpedo tubes but you get no damage number from that. Also, since they have low HP their superstructure et cetera can get "saturated". It means you can do no more damage to that. For example the superstructure has ZERO HP left. Your rocket hits it, guess what, no points.

Well, destroyed 15 inch turrets is something else than a destroyed machine-gun. I'd say on a ship they keep a bit of a supply of them. Besides - this is arcade. I say have them fixed, or at least fix them back to 50%. IMO would be a much better AFT than having a few % but only until hit. -

If you can do that, then use the TiTs, they are much better against cruisers/BBs. Because the torps are rather clumsy for cruisers - TiTs being welcome... but... If you can use the HE bombs on Dds, you'll also not have problems dropping them on cruisers.

Well here's an idea, @MrConway. Make a fresh DD and make it a prize. AKA "kill X subs with..." mission. Could also be a fresh CL. Or both. To get the CL, kill X DDs in subs. That way they'll both get incentive to be tested. That ship should be a dedicated sub-hunting thing (have hydro). Of course, like subs, this ships is subject to change. When not earned, could be sold for coal or whatever. Examples: - Any Gearing/Sims/Farragut class DD would do... there were many. - Tribal class DD (HMS Eskimo), or I-class (could even be a Turkish ship), H-class... - Leander-clone (Ajax, Achilles...). ...and so on. It would be easy (3d graphics etc already there) and it would give something worthwhile. Like having hydro while the tech-tree has not, or having extra depth charges or whatever. And if it's any good and subs are a success WG could make some money selling it. I know I'd like a "Premium Leander"... one of my favourite ships. Or "Premium Fiji"... If you want to do something special.... Dido-class? HMS Black prince??? Gib! GiB! -

This I'd change: -Need to be surfaced for battery to recharge (or stop) To: - Needs to surface for air (long time); - Needs to surface to replenish batteries; - Pinging gives same "guide path" as with DDs (no steering torps) except high tier subs (steering torps); - Pinging uses batteries; - using engine-power underwater uses batteries. 0.9.4 when? -

Well, that makes sense: if they have less detectability. Which is of course stupid... periscope depth sounds OK though. 2.5km same as a DD from air. Real life those subs didn't get deeper either. Only when they needed to scram because of DD or planes is when they went deep. They also made many victims (freighters...) with the deck gun. Depends on where they spawn... WG made the enemy BB spawn in the base, next to the CV - last Clan Brawls... Also, there was one map where the CV spawned like this - they could do something like that for subs. Like, spawn subs in the middle, or with/in front of the DDs. Good. Most (potato) DDs don't do any better. That is why you need to be faster above water than a BB. Well. Same thing, you go with your BB/cruiser/DD to support teammates... No change there, working as intended. Same thing as above. It is a risk that everybody takes. Div up, is what prevents it. Well sort of. It just means you need to play peek-a-boo a bit. Or go on the surface (have more speed, detection range like a DD). Also, balance would be about "how fast can you dive". Same as a DD smoking up. Could be a good captain-skill, BTW. (sits in Atlanta/Flint at T7 with ~11 km...). Or in Texas and got T7. Hood in T9 (all cruisers out-DPM and outrange you)..... But that's about balance (and we know WG is good at it...LOL), I don't know how far torps reach for subs. Speed though (on surface) should be faster than BBs but a bit slower than cruisers. ....and A LOT slower than DDs. This is balance though. But I do think we need convoys for subs. That would make it a whole lot more interesting. As an example, I used the same map: You can see various options there, and WG has already done it. You need to be in a certain distance from the convoy - the enemy have to either kill you or the convoy; and then the opposite party has the same problem. Lets say MORE ships around the convoy give LESS damage done. So, they are better off shooting YOU first before they start killing the convoy. Or something. Subs however would not have to go far, and they'd always know where ships will pass. Subs could go hunt convoy, but also hunt other subs, or defend their own convoy. Any ships that ant to attack the other convoy, will have to run the gauntlet vs subs. WG could throw in some surprise routes for the convoy, too. They have already done it in the Halloween thing, where you have to stay certain distance from the ship you protect. -

Yeah that's why they should surface, and when surfaced they should at least be able to do something between slow cruiser/fast BB speed for their tier. Underwater they should be as slow as the slowest ship at that tier. Subject to change (TM). Most CVs sit on their bums behind their favourite island. Yes can. Just find a favourite spot that everybody passes. Same thing as US BB before T8... -

Well too late then because I already am not buying any.... The thing is, FTP is all fine and dandy but you have to live/ feed server hamsters. SO, what are you gonna do, you provide OP pay-to-win, of course. But you also need to provide cannonfodder for those and keep them all happy. Not easy. Maybe a bit easier if they'd listen. I hope they do, seems a bit like it - separate test, then public separate mode test. One thing better than separate test and then dumping it in General Population (Cv Reeeework). -

True. It is mainly due to WG not listening. CVs could have been done a lot better. Even many CV players being quite vocal about that. The mechanics are crappy. It is possible to do them much better and many suggestions for that have already been given. Well, sort of does. If there is no new content, people get bored and the game dies. I've seen it happen lots of times. Also, WG needs it. Without money, no game. Were they? Half of the British and US fleet was occupied with (anti)submarine warfare. The thing is, subs were mainly used for attacking convoys. THAT is lacking from the game - now I say, just bring it on. Get those convoys steaming. Yes it will. And I have no doubt they'll mess it up. But they might mess it up less if they test it in separate game mode. True. But they must. The game (WG...) needs money to feed the server hamsters. No food, no hamsters, and no game. So it will be done, no matter what you (or I) think of it. There is. Just... I'm with you, doubting if they'll make a shambles of it or not. But I am convinced there are ways to implement them and make them fun. Of course it is not gonna be fun for everyone, similar like getting dev-striked by a Kamikaze R is not. But that's the design of the game - you have fun by whacking somebody else. -

Well, actually that's where it gets tight - WG needs to rejuvenate the game, else it will wane. So, aside from insane paper Russian ships, which are actually nothing new but "more of same", introducing subs is a way forward. True, I'd rather see them introduce more maps and "real-life situations". With real-life I mean PvP convoy stuff and such. Take a large map, set two convoys. Both parties have to protect their own convoy and try to sink the other. That kinda stuff. But it would not sell extra ships. SO this is what they'll do, and protesting is no use. Better they do it in separate mode first before they dump it on the general server. -

That was the same in the CV-test, which I did. - If you took a CV, well, there would sometimes be another CV, but ALL OTHERS (surface ships) would be BOTS. - If you took a DD, CA or BB all other ships would be BOTS. I never same a player-CV in those games. Was it like that in the sub-test as well? I think it was because nobody wanted to play surface ships in the CV-test. -
You will like the T6. The T8 is really... well... not good. Also, try the IJN and US. At T6 is where the most fun is. T8 is a chore and the RN T8 CV is just crap. IJN and US much stronger. The main reason it is crap is because when playing T8 you get lots of T9/T10 games. I agree with the guys above, when you are really good you'll make the most difference with the US CVs. But when you're not unicum you'll enjoy the RN CVs (except T8... man it's... crap...). To do really lots of damage, keep an eye on which ships (BB) used the repair. Then you can set perma-fires and perma-floods. This will help your team get the win. Best is to div up with two others, certainly in this time, when you usually get total-potato-teams. Keep each other posted which ships used Damage Control, and burn/sink them all. Happy hunting!

Well... we had 7 kills... but I guess we need another divmate. So we can just kill them all... (game ended just before we got their CV, dammit). Really... 2 seconds more and my two, plus his torps would have whacked that CV. And we had the Graf Spee almost dead, as well as the Skane....
