I already did that... mostly I play BB or CV, actually same as normal (1/3CV, 1/3BB, 1/3Cruiser). We often do meme-crap like taking 3 BBs. Was thinking about grabbing a DD... But man I am quite a disaster in those things... although T6 I usually manage. Maybe I should try. I wonder what WG will think of that huuuge dent in DD WR...

Exactly. And since we get them anyway, I plan to give WG all the feedback that I can. I'll even play a BB or any other "sub food" if that helps. @ everybody: C'mon guys, it is a game - yeah sure it sucks the way subs are now, so let's show it to WG and not have b0ts. Post your results, take screenshots, maybe a replay, show WG where they are wrong and what needs fixing. They learned form Reeework: do not just throw it into randoms. WG knows the "test server" only delivered info about hitboxes & stuff, and not about the actual gameplay. We WILL GET THEM. Let's TEST THEM. And @Sehales and @MrConway I hope you get it right, because subs sure have potential.

MAN!! DUDE!!! Checked your stats and I see you're pretty good. So I am really surprised!! I'm only "quite savvy" with CVs but hey. CVs are upper mighty here as well. I had that and there were two subs left, plus me (and a BB but he was scared). And my CV is much much faster. I just capped. When they tried to re-cap, well then they have to surface, ya know. Else NO CAP. So, I capped and then ran away a bit. And then I see a cap being taken. So I know a sub is in it and is surfaced. Then I blapped them, because I was waiting for that to happen. WIN. Try it and harvest the salt. It tastes delicious. Check it out, here's a Ryujo replay (your FURIOUS should be better, AP bombs vs subs are not much good). You see how to troll them subs when they want to cap. If CV doesn't want them to cap, they can't. They will aolso see nobody wants to play BB or cruiser-without-ASW... so I expect them to change stuff. However... if they do not change stuff.... well...

I think dropping depth charges WITH A DELAY would be kinda fun if BBs do that... Think of a BB "running" (well... US BBs... LOL) and then the sub chases him

THIS. Best idea ever. WG get this man a job @MrConway Maybe BBs should have depth charges WITH DELAY. Run, drop them overboard... This is indeed a bit dumb. But it is a test. I ASSUME they did it because they wanted to see the difference between those that have, and those that have not.

You forgot the "quick dive up-down around 6 m" sucks thing. They should either: A. add 'water armour", make subs receive damage from 100% we hen surfaced --> upto 15m under still get damage (by the largest guns at point blank). B. Make a delay so the exploit stops. hanging around and with one click becoming invulnerable isn't what is meant to be.

I was talking more about the confidence. it doesn't have to be confidence: you just have no choice except try and hope they fix it. If they do not, all there is to do is leave. I have SOME confidence... this time they put it in separate game mode. Because the test server (like the Reework) didn't attract enough people to farm data (indeed it was 95% b0ts). Very smart move IMo to do it this way. Kinda troll that they stuck the subs behind "gambling wall". I'd have made them EARN IT. because what we'll see now is day 1 20% subs, day 2 40%.... But hey, at least they recognised the fact that EVERYBODY will just try to take subs. Maybe that confidence is kinda A LITTLE BIT justified. But we'll see. Also, FWIW I think you are right. I have been looking elsewhere too. Because if this goes 100% to GP "as is"... well... Netflix is gonna get a lot more use.

Some things are not confidence. You have learned that WG will inevitably want them in X-mas boxes, or something. Probably 99% true. SO there is no choice. You will have them by the end of the year. No matter what. Maybe try as much as you can to help improve them. And keep hope... Because else you'd be better off looking for a different game and starting now.

What I'd buy: a T6 with all Stukas. And it may have torps, AP-bombs and HE-bombs (and/or ASW...) and no rockets. Make them slow AF and then sort of like Ark Royal. But definitely it needs Stukas and the horns, else no sale.

Why, you are gonna get wet anyway when you sink. But true. Random teammates. However, the reds also have random teammates. Maybe WG can make this such that it allows more ships in divisions, say a 6-div.

Depends how you do it a bit. But I don't remember that in Randoms you could pull off crap like you can in sub-battles. We went straight to cap in 2BBs and a sub, killed 3 DDs, and 2 subs, and a cruiser and capped... Other time I was in CV, everybody went lemming AB so I went C in the CV... with my teammate in the DD... and then we just killed everything that came near. I'm not that good so most likely everybody is just FF-ing around. I think it is hilarious.

I think I'm more a nightmare to subs in a CV. So far no sub managed to sink me in whatever surface ship I picked. And I sort of went in full yolo, even capped in Queen E and tried in the CV... (the DD was faster but I got a shared cap) But we'll see what happens when they sort of GitGud.

I'm getting me one of those though, if they have Stuka divebombers with the Yericho-sirens.

I found the best option to just not give a flying F and go completely YOLO. In whatever, a BB, cruiser or CV. Gave me top three on the winning team most of the time. Works great in a division, get a three-man-murder-brigade. Maybe you are taking it too seriously. Seems to me nobody else does and everybody goes for the memes.

Well at least you got one then. I think you had little effort sailing over the stick. 1) THIS is the occasion for WG to fix stuff... give CVs ASW planes instead of rockets (or at least a choice). 2) In real life they had, they were called hedgehogs, and launched ASW forward because it disturbed the asdic if they did it rearward. Now a nice "aiming thing" for those hedgehogs would be good and entertaining. It would also add some sort of skill. And dammit WG, we want a DECKGUN. Even if it is just to set the occasional fire somewhere.

Yes, I'd like something like that. Have a "submarine pen" or something. But i'd like a lot of stuff, as in: - convoy duty; - harbour attack; Shortly, all the stuff they reserve for operations. BRING IT ON. I have had enough of those 2-3-4-5 caps that you have to "take" through parking.
