    Why? I play CV (about 30%) and I also don;t like it. It is very very stale. Once you have seen al the maps you sort of know what is gonna happen. Maybe if your clan has all the "requirements" you can still win. If not, well...

    I have done a BB, a CV and a (heavy/light) cruiser. No DD for me because I suck at them. But, not in the last days - since the sub-pilots have discovered the 5.9-6.1 cheese i do not even want to play CV anymore. Before that though (first few days) you could hit subs pretty good with just about anything. Shot one dead at almost 20km when he surfaced. Torped a few with CV torpedoes... all possible. But there is a reason you only see b0ts, Dds and subs now. OK some light cruisers, too.

    I'm willing to trust them on it. In fact, we MUST. After all, what choice doe WE have. If they do it anyway, then they do it. i have quite a fatalist view on that: we can try help them as best as we can, and that's all. If we don't try help them with as much info as we can, it will go wrong and we have to find another game. If we help them and they mess it up, well, we have to find another game but at least we tried. They have now put it on a separate mode which means they learned from the CV-Reeework, at least a bit. That's a positive, I reckon. They'll probably do a few more rounds. Concerning those accountants, there is two ways to make more profit. 1. You either invent more content and make it good; 2. You cut some dead weight... which could be said accountants.

    Well, right now the spreadsheets are telling them they have b0ts vs subs. Spreadsheet will tell them, too. Since they want (paying) players, that's no good. So I guess that will tell them something is wrong. I propose we all do it same next time when they test, if it sux, all leave. They'll need to fix it.

    I thought it was good fun until too many found out about the 5.9-6.1 bobbing cheese. Yes the spotting is also quite awful. But the good thing, subs might finally be a solution against CVs. Scratch the rockets, gib ASW planes. Not holding my breath though as indeed those that claim it will be the last cockadoodledoo-up might be right, too.

    @Inappropriate_noob This, basically, is a 100% success guarantee. No "underwater measures" will hit you at 5.9m. No "surface measures" will hit you at 6.1 m. And from 500m you will probably not miss. Well and if you do miss ( yes I know you can), just try again. The only thing that can get you is other subs if they ping your front and rear.

    Quite a list... you have a job to do now... But... I know you can though, most of those mechanics you already sort of tried in the sub-test. - bobbing 5.9-6.0: seems most want a 1-2-3-4 (surface-periscope-dive-deepdive) thing like you had before; - ...so it would not be hard to re-implement that and make damage accordingly. - oxygen vs battery-reload, surface or whatever (already tested and works --> subs NEED TO surface); - spotting mechanics underwater/periscope/surfaced (already tested in various ways); - - et cetera. It would just be a matter of changing numbers since you already have the mechanics in place. Most are tested too and they work. You did good there having so many different mechanics. I think if you do it every month with adaptations/fixes, they'll be ready for X-mas. Will be a while before they are really ready yes. And then the balancing. But: PLEASE FIND A BETTER WAY to assure enough "cannonfodder". Now we have only b0ts and subs. Maybe the community here can think of a way? How about a "mission" (grind your BB, CV, CA, DD...) to get a "premium sub" (coal/tokens) when they are "ready for action"? Of course the BB etc must be used in submarine battles... I can think of some that would be popular (they'd just be a sort of premium camo though...): - a YELLOW submarine.... no need to explain...but actually we'd need British subs. - a pink submarine (see picture); for the US subs... - something called a "Red October". Obviously a red camo for the Russian sub. - a special submarine captain? EDIT: found one more. https://www.wikiwand.com/en/Down_Periscope USS Stingray, a rusty, obsolete World War II-era diesel submarine. Could be a fun rusty camo with lots of seaweed.

    Yes I though that was a good trick to make sure BBs and the rest also got played. Too bad, indeed everybody "won" by day 7... and now there are only subs. Actually, YOU have the problem, because now the data is kinda worthless... it has become like the test server. I'm still having LOLZ in randoms, subs were fun before they all found out about the bobbing 5.9-6.1 and such. If you guys at WG can fix those issues, subs might be really fun. I know you can fix it (because you had some of it on the test server already).

    I'm sure there's a lot of people that will like subs, so there is a big market value. If you fix them right then it will be a huge success. I hope you do. --> BTW you can also use them to finally fix CVs. Ditch the rockets, put on ASW. Make the spotter planes spot subs... or at least give the CV-players a choice. Also, I just got them today - maybe next time make it a "daily lottery/wheel of fortune" thing. Because now that I finally have them, most players have gone and all there is left to kill = b0ts.

    I thought the subs had a "deep dive" consumable? Or can you still hit them then. Anyway they cannot even be detected anymore so if they go deep dive and fast fwd + steer, are you still gonna hit them?

    Boarfff. It is my preferred way of getting rid of DDs in most CVs. Rockets yes, but on some Cvs they leave much to be desired. Have to hit them 6, 7 times before they die. Two torpedoes do the trick every time, and you can also force them in some direction. Like if they are after your CV. And you can also drop torps into their smoke, if you do it kinda savvy he'll eat one, or you chase him out. That's just luck. Sometimes I even manage to hit a cruiser with HE bombs and he detonates. More often a DD that hasn't taken the detonation flag.

    Yeah if you like it then they are quite fun to play. WG have something that has potential here. Sub vs sub is fun! And they need to take care that fun doesn't get lost. However, if they keep that "6.1-5.9 bobbing mechanism", including the "1/4 speed recharge no surface" and all that, there will be just one game left: b0ts and subs. They'll all just do that trick and torp every ship from <1km.

    Well, seems to me most sub-drivers learned - no way to survive anymore as a BB, as a cruiser quite hard, and as a CV it gets a bit iffy. I think less experienced (new) players will npot want to play anything except subs... because anything else is food. WG you know what to change. The most annoying is the 6m "hard limit" and never really having to surface. They can't be killed.

    This might be a "feature". Although indeed it is weird, unless you fired them from surface/periscope depth. The torps are supposed to FIND THE KEEL when fired. Means when fired from deep, they rise. Doesn't mean they'll dive much...

    We don't know yet but we'll find out when we all have subs. Gonna test every conceivable "idiot idea", even if it is just for LOLZZZ.

    We have 2 or sometimes 3... ...but we play BB/CV/CA/CL so maybe that is why. Correct. Yeah it really needs work. If they release it like this, I doubt if they'll keep many players. Just bots, subs and sometimes a DD.

    Being a test bunny you mean? Well, I bought all Billyboy Gates products... W3.11 to W10 (OK I skipped Vista). But imagine your car breaks down. It groans, croaks it and starts to belch smoke. You close the windows, open it, and hey presto. It goes again. Well until next explosion anyway....
