You mean as in, try to hunt them for the pelt? I do that too, if given half the chance (and if I don't need to do other things). FYI also I appreciate DDs for trying. Any DD that manages to "pelt" my CV and lives to tell it, gets a +1. Meh. Those are just the lazy ones, real CV players use their CV to the max. That means you also go into caps when needed & other stuff. Where is the fun, otherwise? No risk, no glory. See below... I Ff-d that up though, should have won.

Ho about no. I already did that, and got a standard answer. @MrConway promised to set the specialists on it, so far no luck. In fact with recent patch it has gotten WORSE. Quite sure it isn't internet, other games giving no trouble at all. But will try that... I know you are trying to solve it. If it is your programming, well, can't really believe it would be though. Would have been fixed by now. If it is the servers you are renting, kick their butts. They are not delivering their moneys worth. And this will cost clients - nobody is gonna play a game that stutters like hell.

When I end up in a T8 game with my T6 CV, the other CV may turn out to be the best target... Depending on what other "snacks" are floating around, and position.

Sounds like my kind of CV. Usually I feel a bit sorry for those poor Lolibotes. I kill them only if they get too naughty. Because I think to kill DDs that is why WG gave cruisers and other DDs. Now WG, gib Yorkie for Barney, gib subs and then gib waterbombs for CV instead of rockets.

Indeed, it is probably the sane choice. Only when I have an insane mood I play T10. And then I take an insane ship, like Smolensk, Thunderer, Conqkek... or a CV.

They may have increased it, but RNG was always on CV torps. Must say it is a weird one, but that pic doesn't prove increase or decrease yet. Remember this is WG, and the abnormal is kinda normal... Many things I have seen happen that deserve the "WTF was that intentional" sticker. We don't really know how WG does RNG. I have Smolensk set 4 fires in one salvo, and also games with NO fires at all. For all we know, there is a second RNG layer, that takes the day of the week into consideration. Like, all week RNG is set to "kinda meh" and then in the weekend it goes overdrive, and you get insane results...

I've seen it happen many times on DDS though. They have longer range, RNG gets more clear. I think I have even seen DD torps cross each other.

I'm quite sure they do have RNG. But not that much, and you'll notice it less as they have short range compared to DD torps. RNG is really obvious if you have a Shima with 20km torps. Not if they go ~2 or 3. Well that is RNG too, the torps WILL drop somewhere in their projected "torpedo boxes". COULD BE totally left or right. Never seen it happen though. Maybe they just added more RNG to that?

Doesn't mean you are at map border & not related to actual CV position. Meaning you are whacking a DD in cap A, then they want planes at cap C. Thinking you'll magically save them from the red CV. Well... not so much. At least, that's what I think. You think they want me to support them with secondaries?

So, you mean it is normal? Eh. Thought that when there is a guy that has 40%, somewhere else there must be a 60%. But maybe I am wrong there. Could be. It might be that one has 80% and then there's a lot more that have that 40%. Well, I know a BIT about statistics and I know WG is doing it sort of wrong. On the Bell-curve, the average is actually between 45 and 55%. Anything between that is insignificant. Usually I end up with about 50% more XP than the enemy CV. Doesn't get me the win though. It doesn't even get me good damage, in a short game. And most of them just are quite short. Even if it's a win , damage is usually crud due to 7 minute games. Only exception is ships that have klots of dakka or heavy-hitting torps.

Eh well, that goes OK but the problem is when our own DDs try to kill themselves faster than the reds. I'm sure you have seen it happen (and yes I play mostly weekends). The solution: a divmate with a DD and a brain. Preferably two. And if you help them a bit with the CV they do rack up quite a score. I wouldn't know which ones are the best (except by "famous" clantag...), so I usually try to sink the ones that are most threathening. I also put in chat which ones used DCP. They tend to die pretty fast. Problem is more like, you do not watch for 2 minutes, and half the team is dead. Eh, other problem, you have just killed one Dd and were working on a BB, and then game ends because all the reds are dead. Meh. How the hell am I gonna do much damage in 5-7 minutes? PS: I've seen people use stuff like Matchmaking Monitor but doesn't seem to make them enjoy the game more...

Better believe that it happens to me all the time. You do over 100K, still defeat, because all of them try to win harder or something. And then you get reported because they all want air support even if you are on the other side of the map. Tried weekends, ever? Oh yes and zero karma.

I mean more like, ships that you have < 50% in, you do not play very much and you just grinded. And yes I am more a division player (and quite mediocre). I enjoy playing together most of all. I do not get along with one class much. I still play Dds, mostly upto T6. Well I have just 10 years to catch up, then. Well, you won't be. In most CVs you cannot carry unless you are very good to unicum. In weekends if the team wants to throw it, they will. Unless you can outfarm the whole enemy team. Some players are indeed able to do that. But if you understand a bit of the game, you'll at least manage to outdo the enemy CV. Yes my son is quite good with them. I am not, usually I play to relax. Seems though I do not totally suck, maybe I should try some of those IJN DDs. Seenenough straightlining BBs, might try to sink some.

Well you can become a mercenary in CB. That would get you some steel. Here's some truth above. . In CB you can also have different tactics. FDR may suit one. I started out in CB (T6) using Ryujo, but Ark Royal was just better. Because I could spot longer instead of faster, never ran out of planes, and always could get a punch on whatever with whatever if it was required.

Loving that, can I use it?

Well neither have I, let's postpone those beers because they'll get warm... Well, most I managed to get on target is 2 on a DD with Implacable. The spread is such I can't get any more planted. Granted I could of course bomb 4 DDs if they were as sweet as to line up properly behind one another. Managed to hit two BBs in one go and get fires on both though.
