  2. Actually a Shima could do it. Those Minos will never see him. Seen that done too, in fact did today (Smollyyyyyy...). OK was only 5 BBs. Yes zero karma... Now that would be a challenge. I think a Currywurst would do... but how would you get 6DDs? I killed three once, in Conqkek in Clan Battle. The reds brought all DDs.

  4. Must be national Forumite day. I met @Muppeteer in a Sasquatch. Oh no wait, a Strasbourg. No idea what that is, but it burns pretty good when shot by a Flint... combustability tested! He wouldn't eat my torps though, stayed behind the piece of sticking out island. We'll test that another time then. Game went as predicted, my mate in the Belfast got blapped almost right away. They tried to do the same to me but I managed to escape (just lucky I guess). After that I just set fires everywhere. Muppeteer couldn't carry these taters but he did well. I guess that's the Smolly-feeling at T7.
  5. Yes. Stay close, preferably withing eachothers same range. AKA if you have a DD and it has 3km DPS AA, and you sail next to a BB that has 6km DPS AA, then you should not leave his 6 km circle. Vice-versa, that BB should not leave your 3 km. But well, the DD DPS AA will not add that much unless it is a Halland or something. Yes they do, because they add more FLAK tot the wall. Mind that the FLAK from both BBs will end up in the same wall, just the wall will be thicker. Of course if the CV is any good he doesn't care at all about that wall. Such a distance that the FLAK still adds up. If I am correct the DPS bubble doesn't add up after a certain amount, but if you keep a bit of distance (depending how large your DPS bubble is), it will actually enlarge (widen) that bubble.
  6. Well it is sort of the same as randoms, and I cannot pull a win like you can. Games are a bit shorter due to less ships. But seems at least they try. Which cannot be said for randoms... in weekends... mannnn.... BTW doesn't always end badly for me. Do you have any idea why the say Manfred is OP? Mostly when I meet one, well they try to attack me, but usually ends like this.
  7. Today I saw @1MajorKoenig in a ranked battle. I was curious how ranked would work out... Turns out no better or different from randoms, really... Grats on the win and at least the game doesn't stutter anymore. Still seems something weird with torps though (not aiming in a zillion years??). Well, on to the next...
  8. Well that is part of the problem. It is like having a Emerald and Danae citadel. Basically a good player can work with it, but a tater or bot can't do it.
  9. Actually I met such a team yesterday. I just spammed torps into the herd. Said to divmate: "I scored 6 hits and 2 floods, but dunno what ships".
  10. He didn't get any damage from the FLAK bursts. All he took was damage from the DPS. He could have done it with torps... at a distance... and taken no damage. No I do not want "kill all planes button". But more "satisfying defence action" is required. I think what is needed is a skill that lest you set different FLAK-patterns (or distances). Then when you pick that skill you can press a button or aim for a squad and use it. Instead of regularly going for "each second two flakbursts" it would throw off that pattern. As it is now it is like zig-zagging between TIMED pylons that also get positioned BY THE PLANES. Maybe DEF AA should mean, irregularly timed FLAKbursts.

  14. That's not the point. He could do it with AP-bombs and just delete one. And then another. It would get easier the more he deletes, AKA, he'd lose less planes.
  15. True, but if those Minotaurs had specced their DPS then might have ended less favourable. AFT = +20%. I think toghether they might have killed one more plane... Unicum doesn't loiter around in DPS bubble. Yes I got that. However, too effective? There's still radar and all that, CV doesn't have to do everything. But maybe you are right, the other players have gotten a bit lazy. They expect the CV to take care of all the DDs.
  16. The caliber doesn't matter for fire chance. Also, he might have taken Demolition Expert + flags. However: Fire Prevention will not just give 10%, but also make 100% sure you get max 3 fires on a BB and not 4. If you have a Conqueror it means, 3 fires + heal = you will still be actually repairing.
  17. I call that a snack that is a little too hot. But guess what, after a few fires, he's not that hot anymore. And then there's positioning. Suppose it is a full-AA-build Des Moines. But he is (stationary?) between two high islands. I could spend the last "drop" if I am fast. He won't spot me because I am coming from behind the island, and drop before he hits me. A different problem is stuff like Halland. I just cannot aim for him if I do not know where he is. And I'll spot him too late, so he either needs to be spotted or I take a gamble. Once he is spotted though... he is just another "very hot snack".
  18. Means you will still win 50%, because that is what they do. Define "useful"? Sure it makes AA heavier. Getting all those things will make the FLAK explosions larger, and it will fill "holes in the wall". Will not help against unicum Cvs though. They know where the wall is, an they will not hit the wall even if it is fat as f.... So sure you can make that wall fatter and more effective. It is only effective for the ones that hit that wall. Compare it to cruisers with citadels. Potat cruiser player will get citadelled first in game, lives 2 minutes. Unicum cruiser player never gets citadelled. He never shows citadel to anything that can pen it. But even a unicum in a cruiser, can get surrounded (if rest of his team is potat) and get citadelled. However planes will be controlled by the CV, they never have to show that "citadel". Unicum CV players are like those cruiser players that always manage to bounce your fat AP shells. And with AA, there is no such thing as overmatch, and AA doesn't get HE effect either. It is not like those unicums manage to avoid all. They WILL eat some of the FLAK wall. But they have developed a certain routine, how to approach a ship, that will make sure they miss 90-100% of the FLAK wall. I can do it up to a degree, yesterday I got 3 loads of torps off on Missouri... in Kaga. Then I did the same on Thunderer. After that I screwed it up on a T8 Frenchie CL and lost the whole squad... Well I'm not that good... and here is where AFT and all that works. He probably had it, if he didn't some planes would have lived.

  21. That's where they can take subs to balance stuff. Swap the rockets for depthcharge bombers. Would solve a sh.itload. The alternative is they give CV-players a "4" key for a separate squadron. Well hell, that is an increase of 25% difficulty, RNGesus forbid, nooooo!!!

    @YabbaCoe & @MrConway Please send those support hamsters to Gulag, they are completely useless. I sent them the PING thingy and this is what I get. Already did the re-install, GFX drivers are the most recent, WG check done, no mods. I suggest YOU reply to them?

    Really that is the case with most CVs, you only spot the DD when it is too late to start any weed whacker actions. If they lower DD air-detection range even further you might not even know what shot you in the butt.

    Well I sent the ticket wit the PP2 file in it. Last time too, done WG check, re-install, checked everything. If this helps,maybe make it a STICKY so more people send in those reports. Also, last time I got a standard answer, "problem solved". Of course it is not solved by a long shot. They should have asked me to send such a ping-report. Maybe you are mistaken, but seeing that spiked line I think you are not wrong at all. Should I run the game while making such a ping report? Can we see what happens then? Maybe your Customer Support is getting a bit lazy, you now have the ticket numbers as well. More people posting such stuff will give you a big stick to wave around. Might be helpful. And if it is that server-hosting company FF-ing stuff up, there'd be a nice claim incoming... Everybody that has suffered a month of premium at their expense?
