That is probably why even YOUR winrate is not 100%.
-
This is not true. But what is true, is that in weekends you get many many ROFLSTOMPS. Which means you cannot actually do the average damage that you'd do in a "normal" game. As such you get shite PR (which depends on damage/XP). You'll win ~50% even if you are very good, because the red team throws it. You'll also lose the same because your own team throws it. SOMETIMES though you can score pretty high when both teams throw it. However... that is no guarantee you'll win.
-
Well... the thing is, one time YOU get alll the taters, next time they are all on the red team. I'm a total potato, and mostly I play in weekends... result: 50%, low average damage because of ROFLSTOMP. True. But the thing that you also need to consider is survival rate, and damage. Though a high survival rate, low damage might indicate a back-line surfing BB. Also, do not underestimate the "power" of having to grind ships... For example, first I wanted a Moskva for CB... had to grind Donskoi... And then they made me re-grind it to get Nevsky. OMG. Why can't they let me re-grind Chapayev....

WG you need to hide player names until after the game
BLUB__BLUB replied to StanleyHTweedle's topic in General Discussion
Well Parsefal vs Musashi means he can get you with torpedoes (weak...) or AP-bombs (OMG...). Also Musashi has crappy AA, not that you'd be much better off in Yamato. Five minutes tops.... However what might save you is when there is a juicy target closer to him. -
Which forum members have you seen in random battles?
BLUB__BLUB replied to Cobra6's topic in General Discussion
Tonight seen @CMDR_FINGERBANG and the [UK-RN] in Clan Battles. We had one ship with two PC-disconnects. Grats on the win (though man gotta get that CV). -

But if you last 5 minutes in Musashi that CV player is... well... eh... not that good. -
*WG* My ARP Yamato does not work properly
BLUB__BLUB replied to ___V_E_N_O_M___'s topic in General Discussion
Well yeah that really was cancerous indeed. Although I feared they were gonna park up there forever and do nothing else. Usually they just run whenever something big comes up. -

Well that didn't save you... except my Manfreddy wasn't quick enough and my mate got ya. -
Manfred von Richthofen's bombers are OP?
BLUB__BLUB replied to Warrior_16101991's topic in General Discussion
Yes, but the rocket planes cannot. If you are between two islands you are safe. They stay to high and can't dive that steep, so at least that is something. Not true, there is a limited supply. Granted if the CV-player has any sense he'll not run out. But in Clan Battles I have already seen them exhaust the squadrons - all shot down, then he tried again, none left. He could only bring two or three at the same time for the rest of the game, which were easily dealt with. True. Although in randoms you get lots of stupids. Also, ask yourself how meaningful it is to kill the CV. IMO quite a lot. It would be wise to send some team/ships out to kill the CV if he is much of a nuisance. Of course if you have only one DD... that will not be the main DD task. But many games, I see 4. So if you have 4 DDs... I'd say to one, go get that pelt. -
First time I heard that MREEP MREEEEPPPP alarm I thought they had already introduced subs.
-
Well, as the tier rises so does the skill.... oh wait...
-
We don't use one that often in our clan, as we have better results with two BBs. However... since they are in, we WILL use them if needed... But you are right, the only "balanz" that they have is the "average damage" in 12 vs 12. They have no place in 7 vs 7. Also, in the hands of competent players they are broken AF. Same as a Smolensk - annoying, but totally broken, in in the hands of a good player... poisonous. Drunk autopilot is a feature, working as intended. It is WGs way to balanz CV.

We fail-divved the Ark Royal again, but we failed to d faildiv. We got T5/6/7... so... ....this time we went through the middle on Two Brothers, but again we also failed to fail there... 20201107_235015_PBSA518-Ark-Royal_20_NE_two_brothers.wowsreplay -
a DD player, he sort of reacts like a BB player that wants to see DDs removed.
-
I know, that is part of it. The pother one is, killing Fat Freddies in Ark Royal is good fun. And at least, that is a challenge.
-
I do that all the time, get T9 around 10% or less.
-
Well this is partially true, if I see a bowtanking Bismarck that threatens our cap (or my capping buddies), I will get him. Also, bowtanking front/rearward, moving Frenchie BBs are more attractive than a full-speed Minotaur that is wiggling like hell. You'll attack those that are either the biggest threat or that are the easiest/closest to farm. NOT true: a smart CV will set fire (depends on what CV) to any BB that just used DCP. Also he'll finish off BBs that are low and retreat to use DCP. And "pre-work" any BB that he can get by accident.... also, it is called a Currywurst, because it needs roasting. There are other "preferable targets" that show "asking for it" behaviour (the famed Derpitz concentrating on torping something...). More static or in a straight line = easy to hit. But true, you will see them miss rockets, often on German BBs. This is because how the aiming works. You click the aim on something, then first it goes wayyyy back. And then it should zoom in... but if you were, for example, flying over an island, it will not. It will keep zooming out. As such, if that BB is situated between two islands, sometimes the distance between the two islands is too short. The rockets will then aim for the horizon...
-
Ah well, even that is likely a bit optimistic.... because there's plenty of those T10 P-T-W dudes.
-
Yeah, I agree. You mean like these:
-
Well then it is quite clear eh. Or perhaps it is available as an upgrade, those.
-
I think you explained that very clearly. AT some point though, they do understand that a better game = more money.

Manfred von Richthofen's bombers are OP?
BLUB__BLUB replied to Warrior_16101991's topic in General Discussion
I think we are alike, but I do not see where the problem is with German CVs as opposed to others. I have no problems sinking a König in whatever CV, the thing is, which one does it faster. And can he do the same afterwards? In Weser I usually harass the ships a bit, then after they have taken damage I go murder them. Reason being the flimsy planes. You better wait until their AA is somewhat shot up by HE. With Ark Royal I take the fattest ones - as I want the XP from floodings and fires. No use going for a 10% ship. But it IS possible. The "skill gap"wasn't as much related to hitting ships. It was mainly that the better CV player (with strafing/fighters) deplaned the other one. But you are right, the aiming is a skill gap. So is the AA, by the way. That is now what is the "problem". And as Masterrr @El2aZeR says, in RTS you still had to take care of the other CV, now you do not even have to... You cannot make a fun game if you take the lowest common denominator as a benchmark. Well yes, another problem is the perma-spotting. I'd say nerf it to 8km (or so), and the rest gets minimap. But it is the same with DDs. If I try to avoid DD torps, somebody else might blap my broadside. And so on. I do not say more maneuverability. Just that the zig-zagging should somehow ANGLE the deck. I think if you just nerf the damage, to a point where "everyone is happy", you might just as well have automated damage. Yes you will receive it then like a sort of time-ticker. Rain falling from the sky, ignore it, there's nothing we can do about it. -
Well, those models aren't functional. When they need to function they need a bit more (separate) parts, and animations. As such that might mean they'll not get them, but it might also mean functioning ones are being made.

Manfred von Richthofen's bombers are OP?
BLUB__BLUB replied to Warrior_16101991's topic in General Discussion
...and there's the thing really. If they'd introduce some sort of "speed angle bonus" it would mean dodging would actually be useful. As in, ships turning are heeling over, as such the citadel gets angled. Less chance for AP-bombs to hit. Of course that parked-up BB next to that island would still suffer. -
Manfred von Richthofen's bombers are OP?
BLUB__BLUB replied to Warrior_16101991's topic in General Discussion
Well - no and yes, but mainly by "options" of delivery. That BB can reload every 30 sec, while flying out to some position might take 1.5 minutes. But if the target sits behind an island, the times that a CV can hit are much faster than that BB. Also, once fired the BB cannot correct the ammo route - and a CV can. Mainly it is the delivery that counts. RNG/chance is still a factor that requires no skill. I'll certainly hit over 50% with a CV. Lets say 70%, if you consider a-hit-is-a-hit. So that would include anything, non-damage torpedo protection and such. Problem: can't see it as that rate isn't registered, not being "main guns". You could calculate from that and still be wrong about the actual damage output though. Yes that is true. However that close range, it actually makes a difference if you drop "at once" or "last possibility" for the pen. So that "range" is already implemented. Now the thing is, what are you gong to nerf. Is it the bombs, so we have same simple mechanics, but less damage? IMO it is not the bombs that are OP, the delivery is just too easy. AND THIS: ...is correct. Nerfing bombs is not gonna give a more satisfactory player experience. The best thing would be to give surface-ships more ways to "dodge" as such.
