yes I read that, very funny. Also, did you read 4 good pens would be plenty? No matter bow, rear or superstructure. 4 pens will do. That CV will be very lucky to hit you with AP-bombs for 20K. He has then lost most of his planes, probably - or he was very very good in avoiding the AA. I bet he can't do it again, or maybe his name is @El2aZeR yes he CAN do it again. And you "allowed' (or you were parked) to have him line up a FULL strike exactly on the mid of your ship. And then were unlucky on top to have him get 3 cits - instead of missing completely, hitting turrets and whatever. BTW if you're THAT good, in that case maybe regard such a hit from CV as being "balanz comrade".
  2. Yes. Add the b'stard to your blacklist and you will not see any more of his expletives. Not like he contributes a lot, so you'll not miss out on gameplay. Think of it like "another b0t just got added".

Maybe they do. Done 20K to a Montana often enough. I'd say more often with a BB than with a CV. And used AP. Mind that Thunderer AP does 14.900 max PER SHELL and it is not impossible to hit Monty citadel at all. Two shells will do. Four shells just full-penning and no overpen will do as well. And 26 sec later, again. I doubt it. I pay many many sheep to RNGesus and sometimes he just pays me something back. I think you are severely overrating yourself. Or underestimating RNGesus. CVs are designed badly, that is true. But there is the trick. It is not the damage, it is the way that it is delivered. To deliver such a blow to a Monty that CV needs to deliver his bombs, max damage 8.800, to your citadel. As such - 3x 8.800 is quite a bit less than 20.000 too. Or did he also dive his planes into you. Oh wait, can't happen. I suppose you have enough experience (and in CVs as well) to know that your story is slightly flawed. It is much easier and much more common to do 20K to a BB when in another BB. When a CV does it, the problem is not the hit - it is a s susceptible to RNG as everything else. The problem is you cannot really counter it and you cannot retaliate.

    The secret to success...

Well, not so long ago we had concluded YOU just need to stay angry. Remember, 3 kills in Enterprise. I usually think, how can I F___ them up best, or be the biggest A-hole. Like, wait until he puts out a fire, then set another one. And another. And another. Then torp him. Aaaahahhh did I already mention I love my Smolly. Enjoy the salt. Works for me.
  5. Ah well last time I played Narai (in Hood) somebody also took wrong conclusion about my username. I have the habit of shooting front guns to one cruiser, then using the rears on the next... half-salvo is enough to blap them. And they usually thingk I am running awauy from that Missouri... not... I'll deal him a couple of cits while I go hunt that CV. Then I entered the harbour through the rear and killed some more, and finally I rammed that Colorado. Point is - this game is riddled with cuckoos. If they feel bad about themselves, they'll do stupid stuff. They'll even go and torp you or shoot you or whatever. And they have enough reason to feel bad about themself, too. Don't be insulted by them, it would be the same as thinking that it is a personal attack when a bird craps on your car. But the reason is, they have a birdbrain and it is their own crap weighing them down. Wipe it off and carry on.

Well, I'm just a savvy one but that's not something I manage to do often in a CV. However I do it on a weekly base in a BB. I play both about just as much. maybe I should send more sheep to RNGesus. Or did you forget to send some? You mean, unless he manages to do it to your broadside when you aren;t looking or have no way to prevent it. But it is not something you "allow" them to do. Also, it must mean you allow the CV player to do it. Else I'd be able to do it every game. But I'm not, while last CB I deleted a Yamato - in my Conqueror. That's a bit more than 20K, did he allow it? Or did he sniff too much glue? I agree they FF-ed it up, but there is no use making up stories. Between that feedback there's also a LOT of hateful BS. I regularly manage 20k salvos in Thunderer though. Do they all allow it?
  7. Could be the other way around as well, he has the same sense of humor...
  8. Yeah he usually survives the battle unless it is "worth it". He likes to ram the CV to finish the game, as he did in CB when it was T6. (I managed to ram a few CVs with my CV as well, it is hilarious).

Budyonny and Russian cruiser skills in general

I div up regularly with a clanmate that has Hipper and Tallin to grind... I need to grind Tallin and the Charles Martell. And yes Tallin has more powerful AP, and can be good. But, he usually picks the Hipper... guess why.

Budyonny and Russian cruiser skills in general

Sometimes I do 90K+ games with it, but usually I am the first one to get blapped. Feels to me like a Danae at T8, but without the agility - and with lots of T10 matches... However that captain is from Moskva (as it leads to Petro), maybe I should run the Nevsky captain on it. Not a keeper... they say the Riga is nice though.

Budyonny and Russian cruiser skills in general

Found the Russian cruiser line(s) enjoyable, but man, some of them are total duds. Seems to me that Donskoi is one, and Tallin is the other. Quite sure it is just me not getting along with them though.
  12. Well, my son has the Sims and what he said was, you can then "spam Sims". As in, enter game, die, take the black one, die, meanwhile your normal one has returned. Also he remarked that some people would need "a whole rainbow of Sims" because they die in 20 seconds.
  13. My son is (since august) 16yo, he is quite good with DDs. I am kinda mediocre with them and haven't gotten further that T6... I just play the rest. We often (fail)div up, have both been playing ~3 years. That means he is quite used to a CV... and yes he plays CB, too. Most LOL we have is when we fail-div and get T9. There is no stopping a div of a DD and a CV that are well used to each other unless our team potatoes so hard we can't stop it. He has done well in school (graduation year) and IMO he earned some LOLZ. He'll probably call it "P2W" as he usually does. Some "black ships matter" jokes are probably next. In randoms: In CB (last time around when they did T6, this is the most funny one):
  14. Got my son a Cossack Black (€10 off) and a crate, for LOLZ. Last time he was doubting to get Cossack but went for the Yue Yang. So, now he has a Cossack. I do not see anything there that I'd want myself. Maybe at X-mas, WeeGee?

IMO a CV is not OP, but actually more BROKEN AF. I don't generally do more damage than with a BB, but I can do it to anyone and at any time.

I'd not be surprised. Both Manfred and Roosevelt are pretty bad ideas. Still a must-have, because they'll put them in CB and I'm not gonna let my team down. But it is why I prefer T5/6/7, 8. The most fun nowadays is amongst the potaters, potatering around. Forget T10 randoms, it is the same but just with more blap.

It was better for the CV too. Finally that ships didn't get "kill secured" 2 secs before my last bomb hits it. I don't mind in CB, but in randoms very often I get >>. 100k damage and no kills at all. Just spilled bombs/torps. Especially in Ark Royal, as it keeps targets spotted for veeeeerrryyyy looooongggg time (the planes are slow as sh...). I'd say, how about "fair is fair"? NO "live spotting" for more range than they can spot my planes. So if they detect my planes at 9km, THAT is how far they are visible on the screen.

It got as far as me drawing the Cv intentionally. I play CV quite often... so I know what they do. So, I wander off from the main bunch, and I shoot... MVR detects me and flies in. I turn out... he gets meagre damage. Also what we did is, one shoots, we all stick together. CVs leaves with NO plane left. In fact the only ones that managed to #$^@# me was one CB-team of FORUMITES here. The Cv kept me detected and his teammates focus-finished me off. Dammit. I was first to sink. However it took them too long and they ended up broadside to my teammates (we had 2 BBs...) and they lost... BTW it is not s due to that they are no good, as they in fact are:

Same here. But when you sit behind island stationary... well yeah. And same when I played the CV, cruiser behind islands were the favourite. Insane damage possible. But moving ones? Not so much.

Well I have seen (heard) them (CVs included) drop from chairs when cyclone hits, too. Not sure about fetal position. But might be. Spot that DD! I am spotting! But I don't see him! Why are you dead? HELLL!! TORPS INCOMING!!! Oh wait... Yes ships spotted on minimap, but not on screen. It is as easy as that. Happens all the time, too. Like if they are too far away. After that you might wanna make it different for each class or vary the spotting/appearing distance. If most players don't use the minimap, well, that is no fault of the game or WG. I use it. Anyone can learn. Git Gud or be fodder. That way I also have a chance of being somewhat around 50%...

    General CV related discussions.

IMO the "spotting all over" needs to go. Maybe that is why WG tried the cyclone in CB. But what I think, the spotting needs to be 8km (or so) for all, and the rest gets minimap. THEN you can maybe angle against CV. If he has any friends in 8km, well, then you were (about to be) spotted anyway.
  22. BLUB__BLUB

    General CV related discussions.

Agreed. The reason you'd rather have a DD spotting, is that while a CV does spot more, he also spots it shorter. As such: - when you are in a BB, yes you will blap that DD-spotted cruiser as you have time to turn your guns and aim. - when u you are in a BB, no you will NOT blap that CV-spotted cruiser, as he'll be unspotted once the planes are dead or have moved on. - of course it is different for a spotted DD, he gets blapped by cruisers much easier than a cruiser gets blapped by a BB. Wuuuttt wUUt WUTTTT, again? Already a DD is only spotted form 2.5km? Unless he uses his AA, then he is spotted from AA- range. Yes is done. Used to be 4-5k damage regularly. But still, it is impossible to angle against everything. I think rockets need to go, perhaps the upcoming SUBS would be a good reason: replace by ASW bombs. Then buff CV secondaries - else those darn DDs get wild ideas. Which they get anyways, but hey.

The deletion of uneven tier Cvs has cause the even-tier CVs to need to be stronger. And yes indeed thios has the effect that T8CVs are doing just fine in T10. Eh, poor T6 ships that meet them, I sometimes feel sorry for them. And yes a tier lower for CB would be good. Two tiers if needed. Also, that spotting needs to be fixed to 8km and rest gets minimap. Then find something less moronic for the FLAK. Let people vary the pattern themselves. ARP ships could make nice pony-figures...

Next time in CB, if it is T10 you can get a T8 CV... BRING IT ON. Oh crap haven't got Enterprise... ah well... I guess Shokek will do...

    @arquata2019 & @LoveZeppelin yes really: 54K in Ark Royal, T9 - 1 kill 86K in Ark Royal, T9 - 2 kills 67K in Furious, T9 (and a torpedo on a DD, LOL)
