Which forum members have you seen in random battles?
BLUB__BLUB replied to Cobra6's topic in General Discussion
We met Masterrrr @El2aZeR in his Enterprise today. Need I say how it ended? Well it looked for a minute as if even he could not carry this many potatoes. But in the end, it was my teammate in the Graf and a Bismarck... and they had more points... My divvy tried to get El2s CV but alas. So, indeed... I was in a DD this time (knocking off snowflakes), how badf are teams, well I'm not last that says all... so yes I did get smacked. But took longer than expected. He must have pitied me. Seven kills though, damn that is a big cart of taters to carry. -
Well, in the RTS times "bot attacks" were beneficial for most players... Be careful what you wish for. Next thing WeeeGe might give a b0t CV for every game that hasn't at least three. Just so you'll all get used to it....
-
Yes. I do not see the fascination with post- WW2 ships anyway. After CVs wiped out BBs, nuclear subs wiped out anything else at sea.
-
Tier 2 CVs would be zeppelins... However these ships belong in T1. Having max +2. But you'd only get them through missions with T6 ships. That way yes we'll get sealclubbers, but they'll be at a disadvantage.
-
The biggest problem IMO is that they haven't spun out the pre-WO2 area enough. Probably because the Russians lost the Russo-Japanese war... then again, they DID deliver Mikasa. But THAT would be something I'd look forward to. Big, fat, tumblehome pre-dreadnoughts. BOOM!
-
He was either a noob or something more juicy or important turned up. That means you got lucky, sort of. As indeed Izumo is a nice CV snack.
-
Sure does. The less ships you have, the more likely the loss of one will cause a loss. The trick is to get the first kill to start that ROFLSTOMP rolling. If they all/mostly go one cap, get the cap that is least populated (the weaker side) and kill the one or two that went there. Mind that YOU are not the one gong for that cap alone...
-
There's something you forget to add. The thing is a bad player won;t mind losing as he is used to it. He will play 1000 games no problem. The good player will go WTFNOOO and he will either rank out or do something else. Note: as we all have thousands of games in WoWS what does that make us.
-
You could have built a Gearing then, dammit.
-
Well, it's the only one that is sort of a challenge.
-
Well I think that's just extremely funny, somehow. What's next, you'll confess to T5 sealclubbing in kamikaze R? TBH I do not play it that much, most funny is faildivving it into T9. WR is a bit on the low side considering you're better than me, usually. Means you'll have to practise bit more to make the difference between CV-others sort of equal (BTW I had almost 70% on it... for a while. It evens out...). And yes you have more games than me, maybe you'll become a CV main someday (you'll not beat my Ark Royal amount though LOL)
-
You'd be surprised how many DD players hat CV, but next game they play them themselves... Duh. Lots of times when I am in a CV kills and XP get "stolen" as I am spotting them. The team profits. You win more. THAT is a problem. However they still seem to complicated. WG keeps dumbing it down... and still not enough players. Your saying "I wouldn't even mind if there was some form of skill involved" is just BS, really. You have one game in Ryujo. There is no way you could estimate any skill level regarding CVs. Except maybe low tier ones, but OK those everyone agrees on that they are filthy.
-
Kinda. Though even I manage to make a DM eat 12 torps in CB. Whack one set from the right, and then another from the left. Rest of them weren't needed...
-
This is usual, I have the same thing with Ark Royal and I do not expect anything else with FDR. it is because the planes are slow, and the spotting. When you are coming in for the kill, everybody else and their momma sees that low-HP ship. Same with fires and floods. If you have caused one (or two) and you want to set another one, good luck on that. You will spot that ship miles ahead... guess who is gonna get that perma-thingy. It wil not be you.
-
BTW here's an example of how great CVs are at killing DDs nowadays...
-
Note that Aerroon is once in a while a bit BS as well. "The enemy CV could have dropped some fighters"... Yeah right, EVEN IF they go active, it will just mean 4 planes less... yeah that's gonna help vs FDR... His remark about DDs is kinda so-so. It goes for all CVS, particularly regarding Halland. Once you know where he is though, you can sort of "start-gamble" and then drop some. Regarding restore-time and speed of planes I wonder if it is worth it though. Once found, can't imagine a DD escaping that sh..load of ammo, but cost in time/planes? Again, similar to AR (when you get T8 or faildivved into T9).
-
I know what you mean. I do it "sort of" in Kaga, it can have a reeaaallly long run up. Midway the spread goes quite large. Perfect though if there's abunch hiding behind an island.
-
Have played a few, used Kaga, 100% WR... what star? CVs in that format are quite filthy...
-
LOLZ. I sometimes get complimented when I play CV as well. Maybe I have really done something well then, as it is probably the result of min/plus. Or the reports already ran out for some, resulting in net bonus. Yeah the trick is same as with Midway, you have to dive early (preferably start the run from behind an island). That trick also works with other CVs, once "tightened" you can manouever although not THAT much. Best trick so far is to do "skip jump". Great if you can pull it off... I usually manage one per game.
-
I guessed that much from the videos I have seen. The most tricky seems to me to make ALL torps hit (sort of like getting them all 4 in with Kaga). As in, do not waste any... seems like practise will be needed, currently I manage to get all Midway torps into a DM (both sides) but I dunno if these will all fit. Will probably take a BB if you don't want any torps wasted... or a Stalingrad... OT: Yes IMO also, AR is probably the most "balanced", as for damage / spreadsheet... because still broken AF. Still it's my favourite to take into a faildiv. Too bad can't see the look at their faces when those T9s still eat torps. But there's a certain thing about it, like placement of the CV - too close and you're dead, too far and you're not effective. And pick the right targets (victims...), choose well between killing the ones needed and farming. But don't kill them all at once, else no score and your team may go yolo and throw it anyway.
-
I don't have it yet but when I do I'll report my findings. I think it will be much like Ark Royal, but now at T10. Slow planes so you take a few more FLAK spawns + can't really "outrun" them, and large (wide) squads. I expect not much problems (since faildivving AR into T9 is my perverted hobby).
-
Had one last week - I rarely have them. Must be the holidays. It's like turkey shooting.
-
How to finally get Yorkie?
-
You could just go work for a differnt company. Even the competition. Knowing why the previous company sucks. The problem, that next company will also have something similar. There is not problem as long as you get appreciated. Maybe having him on your team,\makes sure your team gets more promotions and pay than others. There is the problem. You think your teammate has no skill. Maybe he has less skill than the enemy. Your actual problem is you are fighting the son of the boss of the enemy. The thing is here you can actually choose to BE the boss' son. And every team gets one. Maybe try to help your team and be a good one?
-
Well then you should definitely get that Roosevelt CV... it doesn't get any more easy & boring
