Saipan refund - are we being serious?
Yosha_AtaIante replied to Blixies's topic in General Discussion
Good, i agree with you and you win this one @El2aZeR Here is hope that with the introduction of Support CV class there will be a counter to attack CV class. But since we know to little about that yet it's very baseless. Just hope then i guess. -
So what is the consensus on CVs ?
Yosha_AtaIante replied to kapnobathrac's topic in General Discussion
Forget about your logic, i tried hard and it got me nowhere. It's simply and obviously OP and not even remotely balanceable of course. -

Yosha_AtaIante replied to Blixies's topic in General Discussion
People are crying about everything the rework introduced. Not like when it actually got introduced about first: Hakuryo, then rocket planes, then spotting. Of course they still cry but not in a concentrated effort anymore. I can understand if you haven't noticed. Also yes the CVs are pretty balanced when it comes to alpha strike and AA interaction. I would even call a nerf to blob AA a to major CV buff right now but to say it's outright broken still is a lie. You are an anomaly when it comes to your performance and your ability to play the new CVs, few players are at your level. Not many are at my level either. But if you are going to balance the CVs around players like yourself it's never going to be ever useful for the average player which wargaming is targeting. And for the average player vd average player CVs seem to be at a good spot. Only to strong in the right hands not in everyones hands. -

How much more should it be nerfed according to you OuO ? -
Wargaming is doing bullshittery again

No matter what WG does it's always bs to some of you huh? I remember topics threatening to do class action lawsuits and now that WG listened to you whiners it's still bs? Of course,it will never be enough for you -

They already nerfed the air detectability. Are you not paying attention? -
Suggestion: Reconnaissance aircraft for CV
Yosha_AtaIante replied to Pikkozoikum's topic in General Discussion
And at the same time reduces the CV DPM by at least 75% because i have to use the USELESS fighter squadron first. Play more of the reworked CV please before coming up with these strange ideas.- 49 replies

The rework is as good as done btw. There won't be much major changes happening. Noone is crying about specific things anymore. And it feels pretty balanced. They will probably reduce blob aa effectiveness and increase plsne survival for those planes that successfully dropped and are on return path. They also stated that they are pleased with the premium CV performance after the GZ change. The only changes that might still happen are individual ship buffs/nerfs -

Yosha_AtaIante replied to Pikkozoikum's topic in General Discussion
It's just people with wild ideas. He will point to the conumeable you could use which increases air detection of all ships by 20%, it changed the DD spotting from 2.6 to 3.1, the genius forgot that AA range is 6km. I swear all these people with these wild ideas for fixes just need to play more CV instead of dreaming. The screenshot shows that spotting is no good in randoms anyways. It's a defeat obviously- 49 replies

Suggestion: Reconnaissance aircraft for CV
Yosha_AtaIante replied to Pikkozoikum's topic in General Discussion
I would never use it ever and just continue on with the routine. Rockets to DBs. I don't care at all if my team shoots at the targets i spot. I get the job done myself. Also you will not be able to nerf the spotting for the bombers since all ships would stealth AA then which is beyond stupid. Every second in that controllable spotter plane would be a wasted second.- 49 replies

CV's - Good looking, but that's about it.

Never ever count in your team, that is a mistake. Never expect support -
i didn't really plan on creating a topic like this but after i sent this text to a player as a private message i decided to post it here. I WILL NOT discuss what i say in this text, nor will i defend it or claim it as facts. This is just me telling how i see the game and how it benefits me personally with showing my views on Wargaming too. I will probably respond to people asking me questions but i will not discuss any balancing or other things. Just wanted to share this with you. If you are not interested, move on pls and anyone who reads it, thank you for hearing my opinion! "can understand now better how you feel about it all. I just think that we view it completely differently. For me personally WG didn't really break much trust. I don't lose out on anything because of some broken promises and they are in my eyes trying to improve the game for all types of players, the below averages while trying to not screw with the better pöayers, the unicums and all. I think it hurts them as much as any one of them who are suffering. Sometimes these sacrifices are made to try to get th players who just can't invest the time to be able to play all shipclasses to a level where they don't feel like they underperform heavily, don't get cussed at by their team and have fun, mediocre performance or not the goal is to make it more accessible for all player types. Sacrifices have been made to try and get more players involved and the difficulties that are presenting themselves to WG right now sure weight heavily on all the developments teams shoulders. Their work towards balancing this rework has been full of effort, they are communicating as openly as they can. I have never seen during my gaming experience any developer trying to be in touch with their community and listen as WG does but they obviously can't just go around fullfilling all wishes at once. Community response can exploit this openess which we saw in the rushed hotfixes that only after 4 hotfixes lead to a somewhat balanced experience as a CV and as any other class encountering CV. Sure there still is work that needs to be done. I am bracing myself already, trying to think of solutions to coming nerfs to possibly divebombers while hoping for buffs (nerfs against blob AA). In a recent training room experiment i did with my clan i tried to see how hard it is to injure or kill 2 cruisers staying together communicating their fighter consumeable and DFAA to prepare for possible CB CV implementation and the result was pitiful for me and in favor for them because after 13 minutes i could only manage to bring both down to half their HP, of course in a full team setup with an enemy CV providing fighter support or other ships catching my priority my overall influence just diminishes more and more ( the spotting i provide obviously changes things in my favor (enemy Cv spots for them as well). It changes things but doesn't make it impossoble and in my opinion it adds a new interesting element to think about! it just makes me very excited thinking about it alone and writing about it too. Random battles right now also have changed and people are adapting to the rework. I feel it every day i add to my playtime. It gets harder and harder to perform at the level i do right now. I have games where i can't even touch the enemy team finishing with 100k dmg and one kill, most times the kill is a DD and the rest of the damage is healable dot spread amon gst 4 to 5 ships. Opportunity targets... my influence diminishes. Spotting doesn't matter if your random team doesn't shoot what you spot. Sometimes i feel powerless searching for ways to work around it, trying constantly to improve. Then i get this game where i get 7 kills, 6 kills and still lose. The kills come to late into the match because of lacking alpha and i'm totally fine with thaf otherwise i would probably kill the whole enemy team alone but it sends a message that it's a team game after all and no matter your individual performance things will go south if the others around you misplay. CV really needs communication now with others who communicate back. Quickcommands, responding or giving them helps, reducing the negativity in chat, spreading more positive messages, sending a Well Done! on a crucial kill raises team morale and your chances to win a match together increase! I have never felt that way in my RTS CV. When i played RTS i killed ships as i pleased, controlled the pace, the enemy CV started to become a nonfactor for my team once i established air superiority. It was to easy. The wait times for your squadrons was sometimes a bit to long, i always had youtube running with documentaries or gaming channels in the background to listen to or watch while mercilessly striking the enemy team easily. The games where i got challenged were to scarce. Since the rework i am actually always in the game, actively doing something. No more time to listen to youtube anymore, i need full concentration, see the opportunities, make the right decisions, which target to strike?Os my damage wasted if i strike the lone BB on the far west? Should i strike the DD regardless of there being a DM nearby? When i commit to striking such DD i dodge flak, pay attention on if enemy CV is going to interrupt me or not, check is DFAA running? How fast are my planes dying? Is the DD turning? Will i get 2 Dives or maybe 3? Will i have enough divebombers to co tinue after killing the D D? Is there any impact? All these things constantly running through my hat wuile action is happening on my screen. Sometimes when i strike with my DBs, while aiming the DBs i open the map to adjust the autopilot before releasing the bombs because i get so close to the action with my CV. Constant awareness. I have never felt i was in the game so much before. Thats why i love the rework. And why i want to defend it too. It just excites me and brings me alot of fun. I of course feel bad for the DD that decided to go alone, trying his best while not being able to counter my divebombers but that's the only way i can influence the match to my teams favor in that particular moment. When i play DD myself i apply all the knowledge i gain while playing CV. I see the mistakes enemy DDs made against my CV behavior and avoid doing them and have massive success! It just feels good succeeding in it that much. Then it comes to me and my interaction with my clanmembers! I teach them every day in the training room! They mostly don't like the CV rework either. All of them are older then 40, they play the game to the best of their abilities but they are not open to change but i try my best to show them the things that are possible if they get the right knowledge fed to them. I show them how to correctly use the "P" Button. How to avoid rockets, that DBs are their true worry. I explain to them how to dodge strikes, play with speed, to smoke up early. They are leaving the training rooms excited and happy and saying i improved their perspective on the rework that way. Once you commit yourself to these changes (i don't mean you particularly) one can surely do great even in the reworked CV meta. I think people just need to be a bit more accepting towards the change and put a bit more trust back into WG to balance things out for everyone to be able to have a good experience. Once again i really feel for the losses of the players who totally can't come to terms with the rework like you. And i really don't want to come over like a prophet or something but more like providing my view as someone who both liked the old system and now likes the new one. It just feels better for me personally. So i hope that everyone gains a bit as they lost a bit out of this rework"

Leaving you some ☆☆☆ so my next battles in the Midway might get blessed by you and my winrate keeps rising!

I actually think it's intentional the way it is. If you go full speed and want the ship to reverse it's most times faster for the ship to turn instead is why it instead turns. You have to work around to let it reverse which in certain situations for sure is terrible! But i am very sure WG madenit intentional this way. Ship is very slow or standing still? It will reverse with waypoints behind it. Ship is fast and on course it will turn when waypoint is behind it. You can work with the autopilot if you know those things and know what your ship is doing at all times.

You are the one nearly every time telling me that i don't know crap nearly obsessively while i just try giving advice to others or defending the rework. I posted your stats to show that you haven't even played a CV game yet and are trying to tell me who obviously had played them and certainly fairly successfully that i am wrong. I usually don't feel the need to do that but in your case i just had to. Every time i swear you try to make me look like i'm wrong and the one time i asked you to stop beind so sarcastic and you did stop i thought it might have ended and we can state our opinions without telling each other to be wrong in every post but it looks lile this will never stop. If you have different advice to give give it without attacking mine. I'm also not going around saying how wrong you are and that you only say it because you hate the rework do i?
-
No worries man. I can't really tell then whats the issue. I got trolled by autopilot the first 20 games i did before i figured it out since then never had a problem again. https://youtu.be/GYVABY4tMyk Here is a video a clanmember uploaded for me, the gameplay is old and shows how i play my midway (early 50games), you can see there how often i open the minimap to adjust my course via autopilot only and all routing is working perfectly and intentional. If you got the time maybe give it a look! Being aware at all times what your ship does is important therefore open that map often!
-
When did i ever personally insulted you? Where is the ad hominem? What exactly do you know better then me? What have you proven wrong? At this point you are just trolling. How am i not right in what i said?
-
@beercrazy Are you sure you are setting the first waypoint far enough? Your ship will otherwise not pick up enough speed and if the angle of your second waypoint leads behind your ship after it reaches the first waypoint the speed of the ship goes so low (because of the turn) that it shifts to reverse. It should reverse if the waypoint is set in front of the ship ever (the second one) The speed of the ship is important. If it reaches your first waypoint wirh 15knots and loses more then half of it preparing for the turn it will start reversing if the 2nd waypoint is set behind your ship
-
@ForlornSailor It turns around in reverse ONLY IF IT STANDS STILL also i will defend it as many times as you tell false facts and bull! Here is a screenshot of your stats showing you have NO IDEA what you talk about when it comes to reworked CV. Thank you again for just hating snd trying to tell me how my favorite class works now can you stop with that maybe?

You understand that i played 270 midway games and tested this extensively? But whatever then. If you think you know better more power to you ;) Also no i never thought he doesn't know how it works, just telling him regardless because it might be that he doesn't understand why it sometimes reverses and other times doesn't AND who are you anyway to feel the need to tell me who i am allowed to give any kind of advice to? I read his example, he said " now I set auto pilot and the damn ship just starts reversing and turning round to follow the auto pilot route has this happen to anyone else or is it me being a complete turnip and not doing something right?" Is why i explained how exactly it worked.
-
Autopilot works as follows. If you are stationary and set autopilot behind your ship it will reverse. If you go full speed and set autopilot behind you IT WILL NOT REVERSE bit turn! To reverse while going full speed set autopilot to a short distance right infront of your ship, wait until it stopped and then set it behind the ship to reverse! If you keep that in mind you will not find yourself having problems anymore. Remember you can set mutliple waypoints! @ForlornSailor See above, maybe i should create a yt tutorial on how to use the Autopilot lol

Believe me you can do it, i do it. I played 200battes in the Midway so far and autopilot once you learn how to use it works very well. And yes i know what you mean totally, pushing with the Zuiho, concealment of 7.1km, autodropping and oneshotting every DD like it's nothing, trolling the experienced unicum DDs who claim you will never hit them with autodrops, luring that Bogue fighter plane into your own AA because of the amazing concealment. I miss it too. But give the rework another try! It's really good once you get used to how it works!

You get to play only 1 ship in 2019! Which one it is ?

CV- The DD scourge (DDs need Nerfs)
Yosha_AtaIante replied to sgtmarple's topic in General Discussion
Don't play Shokaku until they buff it. You need to rely to much on your team and can'r effectively support against a DD if the DD knows what he is doing. WG will surely come up with a solution once individual ship balancing begins. You can try rockets but it takes alot of practice and skillful use to really damage a DD enough.
