It's basically a more complex sector system that will reward the player with more effective AA success in shooting down planes. Also upgrades and captain skills regarding AA will be more regarding to picin combination with reworked AA sector things. I suspect a better response time to switching sectors and being able to assign bonuses to specifically behind/front of the ship. Also i suspect to be able to assign more then one reinforced sector. Maybe even a kind of wheel that lets you turn them to whichever angle you need them to be most effective.

Even so coop is catered towards the most casual players and therefore can't be made to difficult. Many play it to relax and enjoy sailing their favorite ships in a friendly enviroment. ♡

I'm not discussing your person, just noted that you made me remember things that don't belong here and now i'm a victim of my own thoughts like a snowflake melting during it's descend towards earth. lol ☆ And of course AA manual aim wouldn't be a problem for you at all ☆♡☆

Well, with how flak currently spawns and works you ton't be able to shoot the flak right ontop of the planes. Assuming they implement manual aim with thr current mechanics (they said they won't rework things again) The flak always spawns a (time to reach) distance infront of planes flightpath relative to their speed. Planes go slower, flak spawns closer (with time to reach said flak cloud being the same as any other speed if staying on the speed). So no matter how well you aimed, the CV would always have the same amount of time to dodge it. If of course you would change the AA system so that you could hit Planes as you can hit other ships then yes, you would be able to get skillshots of. If you even get the chance to calculate such a shot fast enough since you have around 3 - 5 seconds at max to get the angle, height, speed of planes, trajectory of planes correctly before they drop you. And after they pass over your ship good luck in adjusting the camera let alone keep an eye on what's happening around you. Again something that doesn't have the average player in mind.

Hey :) I did not claim that you have to be that person. I have simply quoted him on his assumption. I also checked if his claim was right by going to a stats page. Usually when a namechange happens you can search for the old persons name and the stats of the new name will appear under the same ID in the browser adress. It doesn't for you and the Sobchaak person. So i simply stayed out of this to see how that all will develop. I can understand however why he made the assumption since you both are blocking stats fro public view (which is fine) and appeared around the same time while Sobchaak simply suddenly vanished. Maybe he got tired of the crusade rather fast. Also you need to better your attitude for real man. My Hallucinations or Past Traumata have nothing to do with anything on this forum or game.

I have been requested to provide my own ideason how i would improve the current state of CV. I have posted this in the discussion thread already but since it will be quickly discarded under tons of whining i decided to open a thread. I'm also aware that this idea possibly will not be able to get implemented due to it requiring dev time and new sets of testing, also altering of current gameplay model. But anyways, here it is, i will also include changes i would apply to the current rework considering the changes coming with 0.8.4 * Here is a suggestion that i would bring which is to limit the amount of strikes a CV can have per match. So lets make that number 8 strikes. So the CV can chose to sortie a total of 8 times during 20minutes. CV can either sortie recon and get them to an area he wants intel on for his strike to be even possible or sortie attack planes regardless and use the spotting provided by the own team. The wait time between sorties is 1minute. Recon planes provide spotting only for the CV, stay in a designated area like a consumeable for let's say 2 minutes and allow the attack sortie to strike there. Attack planes don't spot at all. They however attack with an alpha hammer which rewards successful evasion of AA and rewards correct target selection/ management of recon aircraft/team spotting. Fighter planes can be assigned to specific areas only during wait times between sorties. You build your attack wing during wait time (1minute) choosing if you want to use all torp bombers or only a limited number to preserve your reserves. Plane restoration still applies but only to a limited amount of total aircraft making it possible to heavily punish CVs who until the last 10minutes lost only 20 planes and suddenly lose half of the remaining allowing not even their total potential to be able to regenerate in the next 10minutes. Plane controls remain the same as they are now, slingshots will not be possible anymore because you only have one single strike which will for sure go through since you use alot of planes as buffer to survive AA. You still need to aim correctly and that aim needs to be on point to make the limited amounts of strikes possible count. Also make the CV have useable guns to be able to defend itself against DDs otherwise it's completely helpless against them. This solves all your problems right? What it introduces back however is skillgap. Which is even now very present. But it kills the spotting the CV provides. Suggestions for the current state: Make fighter planes have an additional "engagement" field around them effectively enlarging the area they can engage attack aircraft in. Right now they have an 3,5km area in t10. Make it so they circle in the area you summon them in while having a true engagement area of 3,5km around them while they circle the original 3,5km path. Make AA modules invincible and allow all full pens that usually deal zero dmg for hitting AA modules to do full pen dmg. Make spotting CV only including fighter spotting. Allow spotting ribbons to be collected only via spotting the CV hull provides (LOL) Revert the AA bubble decreased effectiveness. Make DFAA so that it doesn't allow the aim of the CV strike planes to close at all, leaving them at max spread during DFAA. Increase all plane restoration time by at least 10sec. Revert back the changes made to rocket planes but increase all DD AA effectiveness by at least 25% without sector reinforcement. Make sector reinforcement more balanced for DD instead of giving 80% on one side and 20% on the other make it 60% on one and 40% on the other making the loss of effectiveness not as tragic if the DD player can't keep up with the sectors. The overall increase of 25% still inherits the strenght it had as if it were 80% before my suggested changes +5% as an extra. Give the GZ her speed back to not remove her selling point. Buff Saipans plane reserves by 2 planes for each aircraft type to counter the now even larger restoration time. Make Enterprise suffer the same penalties to all it's attack planes as the silver ship lines.

They have also acknowledged mistakes of the past, you can find multiple examples on public posts on reddit by @Sub_Octavian You can find acknowledgement of mistakes stated by Conway on this forum. They have talked openly about mistakes they made. Sub_Octavian got alot of abuse on reddit for trying to be transparent too. They recieve way to much flak. I have never been a part of a gameing community with as transparent game devs as they are here. They handled the GC nerfing proposal excellently, listened to the community outcry and still get flak for it. But i need to take break for now. At least we know the direction WG is going with all this now and i'm quite happy that they are confident in their belief that everything will be well under control soon. thanks for the discussion El2aZeR, no hard feelings towards you and your opinion btw

Are you going to bring up that they said there would never be t9 prems for sale or steel for sale? So if you dismiss what WG is telling you then who are you believing and why are you still playing the game of a in your opinion dishonest company? If it doesn't matter what WG tells you and you only want to hear what you like to hear how is it ever going to get better? It will never get any better and i'm glad that WG is calling you and your consipiracy theories out openly on reddit. You should start setting your pitchforks on fire now btw. The goals are more clear now so what's going to happen from here on out? ;)

I've never looked at solutions. It took me 5 minutes to come up with the ideas i posted. I simply tried to see how anti CV crowd responds to them. Now all these ideas are irrelevant anyways as of the response from S_O the community got and i'm not even mad -
Well you can continue assuming that WG is the evil villain only looking at profit and hiding the truth. After all how can the developer know it any better right?

Stop parroting others. Prove it to me. The rework isn't half a year old yet, tweaking and balancing hasn't finished yet. Potatos are still potatos.

It's easier to reach these levels of potatoness with such an increase in CV population. The new CVs are easier to get into, to pick up. Many have even complained about "how easy" CVs are to play now didn't you @LemonadeWarrior The accessability is there, the population is there. S_O is lying and that is your opinion because you dismiss everything and are just very bitter. You haven't said anything positive yet about this all. If you have i must have missed it under the mountain of negativity. You call average players who's enjoyment is the target of WG irrelevant. If your own vision and goals stray away so far from what WG tries to get to then there is no wonder you would view it all as a unfixable unbalanceable totally flawed mess. The most important thing that S_O is saying about the skillgap is that Unicums get rewarded while potatos get punished. This is true for every class in this game and it should be like that. You should be able to perform as you do while orange/red people who simply can't or don't want to get behind it will get punished foe it by bad rewards and bad stats. This is how games work. Everyone gets a chance.

What does this have to do with anything? Are you going to ask WG to overhaul the AA system? You didn't get what Sub_Octavian said in the screenshots i posted? They are going to improve sector AA impact and effectiveness, that's it. There will be no manual fire AA. There will be no historical AA because that was even less effective. You get what we have now, it will be improved for surface ship - plane interaction and thats all you gotta get. you either learn how it works or you don't. That's all there is to say. You can continue on saying stuff like nerfs will come after years of crying like radar. Who cares let them come, balance is welcome. What will not come however is a removal or isolation of CV. And what also won't come is the removal of relevance towards average players in the CV class. As i see it you are not interested in learning. It's a shame.

YOU DONT UNDERSTAND! The AI predicts perfectly, you just always have enough time to dodge, thr human also has the margin for error spawning flak not even in the path of planes where i as a CV have more thrn enough time to recognise the error and continue flying Straight you just don't get it! Flak always spawns in the planes flightpath, you always have enough time to dodge it. There can't be any possible aiming solution which doesnt allow dodging! Please just stop with your assumptions if you don't even understand how flak works and spawns! It's always exactly in your planes flightpath. You always have enough time to dodge it. That's it. Humans will never be able to aim better then the AI ESPECIALLY DURING THE LIMITED TIME THERE IS TO AIM AT PLANES

No, the AI aim is flawless. It can't be any more accurate. You don't understand. The way the AA works you will always be able to dodge. A human could never be as accurate as current AA and if the human player were the same effect would be achieved. That's it, there is nothing more we need to talk about anymore since you simply don't get it. But my offer is still there.

AA is not rng. It's consistent dps damage to planes. Sometimes planes die faster depending on the CV players skill to dodge the flak clouds. I can give you lessons if you like. I will treat you normally of course without any trace of my forum persona. Maybe you can get a better idea then on how it all ties together when it's about CVs and how they really work. WG changed radar a little, yes. It's a small nerf. If you compare removing of spotting to CVs it's a whole othe level of nerf for the average CV player. Hardly a good comparison to make.
