The mind-set of the 40-percenter
Yosha_AtaIante replied to HMS_Kilinowski's topic in General Discussion
No barney these people dont even understand that they are ignoring the objective and might not even know they are about to lose. Also you can't say that despite telling them how to play/what to do since there might be a LANGUAGE BARRIER. You have to accept it that there is no rule forcing you towards the objective. The objective is to win. To win you have to play the objective. But there is no rule enforcing to be able to perform well enough to play the objective. Again, objective isn't the rule. -

I'm obviously talking about people who don't know how to play and not about people who purposely decide to ruin a game. You can't punish a bad player for not going for the objective. First of all, how do you differentiate griefing from lack of skill? You can most times very clearly point out griefers but can you for sure say that the bad player that is sailing around the cap is doing it to grief? I guess you can't and therefore no rule enforces you to "play to win". The rule forbids griefing. Playing badly and griefing are 2 different things. And are treated as such. One of both is perfectly fine by the rules. -

Not going for objectives is not rule breaking. Playing bad is not breaking rules either. The only rule break that you get punished for is leaving early or damaging teammates. Your analogy to someone throwing around chesspieces is very petty btw. The people in Wows just play badly they dont exit to port or teamkill everyone regularly. There is a difference between breaking a rule and playing badly. -

You are wrong and you can see it in my stats. I hold my winrate solo. @El2aZeR Is the absolute epitome of solo influence in ALL classes unlike myself. It's not luck or RNG. A single player with the correct actions and positioning can control half the game alone. -

Good performance is indicated by winrate. If you win more often then others then that means your performance in the battle contributes to the win more then the performance of others. It doesnt matter if that performance is low or high dmg, tanking, spotting or cappig as long as the way you play gives you more wins on average. -

Ok here we go. This game is to bring entertainment and earn money. It is not designed to be competetive and punishing to any type of player. You can compare it to a public chessgame where anyone could be sitting at the opposite side of the table. Both pay the same fee to play but one could be a grandmaster and the other that guy that played against his deceased grandfather once or twice. 40% exist because they are there for their subjective view on what's fun. They sit down, play a few, win after 3 losses and end it there. There is Clanbattles that enable you to be in a more competetive enviroment but expecting any kind of performance from randoms is a bit to much -
Im happy that other things keep me as busy as i currently am. But as you know.. what brings me success and how i win games is by going batshit crazy in all chat. You think i might be carrying you but ut's all just psychological warfare towards the enemy team to totally demoralize them and you know how well that worked last time. Become what you must Sunleader....

Good day dear forum people. I have seen this idea being thrown around alot. In the CV discussions as of late it popped a few times. Here is why it will never work and likely won't be implemented with the coming support CV lines. Manual controlled fighters are supposed to be used to defend your teammates from enemy strike aircraft. The problem is in the word defend. While defending your team you won't be: Doing damage Spotting the enemy team. The enemy CV however as the attacking force likely: Won't do damage BUT it will spot your team. You can't fly your manually controlled fighters over enemy AA to intercept an enemy strike early. These are just some of the problems. Also the attacking CV will always have the initiative as if you successfully defend against one attack squad the next one will already be on it's way before you can launch your own forcing you to continue defending or abandoning your teammates. If you continue defending, the enemy CV spots your team again while you do effectively nothint but prevent negliable enemy CV dmg.

Why manual fighter control is bad.
Yosha_AtaIante replied to Yosha_AtaIante's topic in General Discussion
Oh yes i wouldn't either. But often enough there actually are situations like crossing the squadron of the enemy squad happening where it would engage easier as the current fighter spawns are which are just useless mostly. Actually my idea would probably just make potatoes to rotten potatoes since they would try chasing you all day long while you demolish their team. No matter how you look at it there is no good solution besides assigning fighter patrol areas which will likely never happen. -

I tried it lately and it's hard to get the catapult to engage them before they die. Mostly works for me on low AA ships. Maybe i'm not timing it right. -
I wonder if El2aZeR has me on ignore because i fanboy over him to much... :/ Also the potato avatar person is changing his views by the second so don't read to much of what he says csuse he'll spin it however he needs it for his own amusement. Check his post history for details. Also that Burst AA will be 10% is... i dont know why not just leave the AA as it is now? Isn't it effective now? Also i love El2aZeR no homo

I think the suggestion thread is enough and i don't believe we can influence WGs decisions anyways. -

I like this idea. Maybe only one as escort that can be shot down by enemy AA (doesnt count as planekill however) so you have to make a decision to attack or chase the enemy planes. Sometimes you cross paths unintentionally and there they could become useful. -

Because in the time you need to kill the CV the enemy team and enemy CV go havoc on your team maybe? It's a waste of time? A waste of planes and a waste of influence? -

@El2aZeR Look at this. That's amazing stuff right there. I bet you could dodge flak while microing fighter planes. He talked about microing fighters while in control of a squadron. Also the amount of nonsense being said so far is impressive. -

Limited planes would be amazing. Would make CV much more powerful. How hard is it to understand that CVs right now dont have unlimited planes btw? Lol. You want to micro fighter planes while controlling a Squadron going 180kts? I think you overestimate the playerbase -
But 20k dmg for a ship that i cant even shoot back at he be back in 20 sec do 20k again 5 times me dead you wot m8 your stats lie it manipulation cv dmg control what sre you talking. It no fun no counterplay 20k dmg an 3 fire out of nowhere u cant do crap against how is this fun mate you dont understand you cv apologist how do you call what you do information spreading you obviousls try to denie the fact that my op kremlin is supposed to be untouchable because rus bias but you clearly dont see that when i look at your stats its all orange i havent even looked i just assume it now come back when you played dd for a broader perspective also deep water torps dont hit bbs.

Yesterday i took out Enterprise again. That thing wrecks DDs left right an center. 2 Kraken in 10 games easy. She is still powerful to hold herself over the water. Nevertheless you can't say the same about the other Premiums. Compared to Enterprise you need to have an iq of at least 140 to project an illusion of influence right now. @Sunleader Can tell you about the parties i had in all chat yesterday night while molesting loli boats. Don't think a refund will be warranted yet.

You probably also complain about the sneaky Asashio spamming you with torps with no counterplay.

Tips, hints on how to improve as a DD player

Very important is to never expect your team to have your back. Always be able to disengage and dont engage if disengaging will become difficult or impossible. -

So after i tried to Division with @Saiyko which ended horribly since we were matched up against pretty much the worst possible Division i got angry for many reasons. So since i'm such a potato obviously who suicides planes into minos i did this. Funny how it's much easier going solo i bet it has something to do with me being a potato riiiiiiiiiight?
