But then how is WG supposed to react to the community. They "listened" in the cases of T4 CVs and gave a buff = bad guys (the community certainly didn't think that making T4 CVs more powerful would end up this badly) And if WG doesn't "listen" they are also the bad guys. So how are they supposed to handle community suggestions and feedback in the future? I would say ignore it completely because the community also managed to completely mess up the Graf Zeppelin in the past, just another example. So now who decides which of the communities or playerbases suggestions is actually a good one? Certainly back then a majority of the complaining playerbase towards T4 CVs thought it would be a good idea to buff them. Now that was bad after all but you are giving WG the blame because they implemented it. How does WG need to avoid such issues to happen in the future now in your opinion?

... Quick aim time is the first lie. 42 rockets "ideal" is the second as the RNG is all over the place. Audacious is trash. -

Please don't say this. Audacious is terrible for hunting DDs. I can humble you with my Midway in training room if you like however to show you what happens when an actual good CV player strikes you. And of course that counterplay doesn't exist. -
It was. Everyone was complaining about T4 CVs being not powerful and boring making new players turn away from T4 CVs. It was all over reddit and in the old CV discussion topic and even had its own topics created for that specific issue until WG addressed the "being boring and powerless" issue by giving Hosho better torps which were later "nerfed" with slower plane return speed. Remember that most posters here always talk about themselves as the playerbase and the representative of said playerbase. So why not take responsibility for once when the playerbase messes up? You can obviously disagree that's fine or distance yourself from it but saying it didn't happen is kind of wrong.

Constant Chatbans because I am playing CV?
Yosha_AtaIante replied to TheNale's topic in General Discussion
You will not be chatbanned if you didn't commit any offense. Bad language in any form can lead to a chatban and even the smartest insults can lead to one. So one way or another you justified a chatban for yourself. -
Yes

A lot of misinformation here. Please be careful how you explain things as crucial details are missing. I don't have the time or energy to correct most of the information you just gave. Please be careful about the info you are putting out or how you are explaining it. One example is the diving distance. If you engage a ship with Dbs from 5km away you will whiff every time.

Does this happen often? A fast solution is to forcefully kill the game with the taskmanager and restart it.
-
It should be avoided if DFAA is active. Normal flak is not enough to kill planes. When the planes are boosted the amount of time they spend in flak is reduced too. The planes that are being obliterated are likely due to the boost not being executed correctly and fast. If you boost F to late you lose seconds on invul during the climb.

The issues you are describing are issues due to lack of experience and skill. So all you need is more practice. Keep on practicing. -
Constant Chatbans because I am playing CV?
Yosha_AtaIante replied to TheNale's topic in General Discussion
Please post one of your recent replays on which you were still allowed to use the chat so we can judge better on why you might have gotten this chatban. Usually you can only get chat banned if you break chatrules or etiquette -
That would qualify as a major misplay is why I probably misread it as I don't consider misplays important for this discussion. The F accel bail works right in the short range. Even after regaining camera control your planes stay invulnerable for 2 more seconds. So if you press F while planes are Max boosted they keep the boosted speed after F. They reach invul altitude way faster and the 2 extra seconds of invulnerability will make you maybe lose 1 plane at max during such a bailout. Therefore pressing F during full boosted drop animation will always save your planes no matter how much AA you are in. It's a known exploit.
-
It's literally holding W and pressing F during drop animation and that's it. Easiest thing to do and absolutely not situational. You have another full squad on deck and more. Losing 12torp planes is not an issue as all of them if you lose them early enough will be back after 10minutes of game time. You can counter RNG once you understand the drop patterns of the corresponding CVs. But he is right. And he is not the only one who is this confident in his abilities. Ontop of that he is since the beginning of the rework making the same repeated points over and over so I guess he is tired of trying to be humble about it.

Yees Haku rockets are disgustingly weak compared to Shoukaku. The Haku stock rockets before they sadly got nerfed however were the same as Shoukaku maneuverability and aiming/dispersion so any Haku player who knew his stuff used them. I believe it's partly my fault however that the stock rockets got nerfed since it happened right after I mentioned this issue in the forum. The torps on Midway are still usable as a filler and can be devastating to reversing or mostly stationary targets. I can't talk about Lexington torps to much however (should be the same as enterprise) Exactly and even so the HE bombers that deal up to 40k alpha to your chosen BB target with 2 permafires on top are heal able for sure but it will cost the victim 2 consumables at least, forces it to disengage and to not re-engage until the victim is healed up effectively removing it from having battle Influence. A quick followup strike with tits on top of this and the victim might be outright killed.
-
I disagree on midway since the tits and bombs are such a huge improvement over Lexington. Midway is the most relaxing CV to play because you don't care about target selection so much.
-
Not only the best IJN CV but probably the best CV next to Enterprise.
-
The Hosho problem is created by the community. T4 CVs were very boring and a bit powerless feeling in the beginning of the rework and the playerbase cried for a buff. They got the buff and now t4CVs are a mess because WG granted that wish.

WG should reduce Yamato's citadel
Yosha_AtaIante replied to Hades_warrior's topic in General Discussion
Yamato is currently performing fine and doesn't need a buff. -
I usually get it every day. Most times only around 5 games are needed.
-
I'm talking about the usual game flow here. Not all games are lemmings. As a CV player you should usually focus the flank that your team is pushing to gain ground because the other flank which is stalling usually loses ground. You can move into gained ground with your CV hull making the other flank being pushed a non-issue for you.

This CB season's gotta be the worst one ever
Yosha_AtaIante replied to mantiscore's topic in General Discussion
You need the Haku because of the 6.1km concealment on the torpedo bombers. You can spot any target except for a few ships that are rarely used without the Stalingrad AA being able to shoot at them. This also allows for easier and fast surprise torp runs. Any other CVs planes are spotted while spotting and therefore lose the surprise and also can't get as close to Stalingrad as Haku torps could. -
CVs certainly aren't the answer to all problems if average or slightly better CV players control them. (my definition of good CV player might be a bit to high though for some) The problem is that if you actually find yourself against a good CV player that you won't be able to just push or make him panic. That CV player will know what is happening and going to happen and already have either moved his ship or has in the meantime dealt with the other flank while moving with the fleet. One could argue that these kind of players deserve their superiority because they played mostly flawlessly and reacted correctly but that doesn't change the fact that such players have much more influence over all the battle outcome than anyone else. Yes you can push a weak CV and make him panic, set his autopilot routing to A1 and make him lose flight time and dpm and possibly even his hull eventually. That is however irrelevant because the CV players you should worry about will not fall for your rushed attempts to control the battle.

This CB season's gotta be the worst one ever
Yosha_AtaIante replied to mantiscore's topic in General Discussion
Exactly. I hope this gets addressed. I wouldn't mind for CVs to leave CBs either to be honest. It's fun to.. crap on people but after a while it gets stale. Today I played a few battles in Smalland and playing against them while juking Venezias and Stalins and getting those planekills up is more exciting. But the choices for ship lineups CVs promote is really boring. Yes I agree they are bad for the game. -

Yosha_AtaIante replied to mantiscore's topic in General Discussion
Did NWP stop? Topic related I think that Venezias are part of the problem of CBs being stale. Because let's be honest... Even without CVs Venezias make picking any other flanking ship obsolete. The maneuverability and smoke combined with amazing shell velocity is just to much.
