I doubt that you would need a nerf personally. Also try to explain to me how the CV will defend itself from a DD without a teammates help if the planes don't spot?
-
So you are saying making it worse at this point doesn't matter anymore but only as long as the "making it worse" part benefits you?
-
This discussion is going towards remove CVs again doesn't it? The amount of misinformed players is also through the roof again. Can we get back AndyHill and Figment instead of the nonsense ramblings and insults of the usual type?

I will tell you a secret and this is not a troll post and it works 100% of the time. After one requests AA support just use the quick command for Wilco! And if he asks again type in chat "On my way" but never actually go there. He won't even notice.

I ’m not a protester, I just hope players can unite and say no to the chaotic changes in the game

Can you edit your text so it's actually readable please? -

Yes and you only trigger the first described effect and disable AA instantly afterwards and you won't be spotted this way. -
The level of mitigation possible depends solely on the skill of the CV player. You can use techniques as I do quite often to play around average to better CV players but as soon as I would meet someone like El2a, joatricks, steveraptor for example only them misplaying would give me any chance. A CV is only as powerful as the misplay of the enemy ship and the enemy ship is only spared with this rule if the CV player isn't one of the best of the best. @Sunleader Plays with me so frequently and knows exactly what I do to deal with most CVs easily and successfully while for example playing DD myself. He can mimick all the little tricks techniques and hints I thought him and what does happen? He dies in 2minutes and 25 seconds

There is a delay between AA activation and the guns actually activating and firing. The sector damage does NOT count as regular AA damage and is not tied to the AA guns. If you activate and deactivate AA with only the sector active fast enough the AA guns will never fire while the planes still receive the damage of the sector -
Just ignore these people. They don't know their crap if they suggest you to just suicide. There is no team play. Play for yourself ignore what they tell you and play safe and good. Why worry about the red army on your team or what they are trying to tell you? Try to guess how many random players try to explain me how to play CV in chat. I don't give a crap about them I play my game and win.

Even some of the CV players on this very forum have a hard time utilizing this correctly. To assume the usual 50% WR CV player to even understand this detail is a bit much.
-
If you are implying that every CV player you meet in low tiers is a good player then wait until you reach high tiers where the really good CV players play. Then hopefully you will understand that it is your own fault that you are getting owned in lowtiers as you will be punished quickly and easily by the CV players that you'll meet in t8+ Also you are a reroll that didn't really work out to well by the way. Maybe try again or something. Just remember that the bad CV players you whine about won't go away.
-
I can tell you that 90% of the CV players you meet are bad and that if you get caught by them it's your own fault. Everything else depends on the skill of the CV player.
-
Don't rush the caps to quickly. Noone ever needs them in the first 2minutes just to die into. Wait for the CVs planes to pass and then move in closer. Make sure the CV has picked an interesting target so you can be sure to be left alone for a bit. Also play more. The more you play the faster you learn how to handle these things.

But on the other side apparently as soon as AA is activated the air detectability of ship increases to AA range. If this also happens during enable and disabling AA fast then its GG for the exploit -

Because you only get spotted after continues AA engages. But if you activate and deactivate aa fast enough with sector the sector dmg doesn't count as continous AA dps as such your ship won't get spotted and therefore also doesn't suffer the 2sec additional spotting penalty. -

I understand everything perfectly well but I'm not WG. You don't need to explain this to me tell them instead. Also I believe that their fix won't remove the exploit. -

You are unable to do a simple to execute exploit safely and dismiss it as bad because of your own inability to execute a 2 button press in shorter than half a second implying this less than half a second of timeframe will impair your positioning in any way or make you more vulnerable and on top of that are trying to explain to me how dangerous it is for a DD to do these kind of things because obviously you see a great CV player on the enemy team every match. Sure... Of course I need to point out to you that I have experience in the field I'm talking about so that you might take notice that it's not the exploit being problematic or putting you into a problematic spot but that it's you and only you that is having problems with it. BTW Button to start sector by default is O and to deactivate is P. You simply press OP and that's literally it. You are making it sound like an acrobatic feat of the highest level. -

Sorry but no. There is no risk involved and nope to a midway full squadron you do around 700+ per sector activaton. I used that exploit like a madman and I was the one pointing it out to WG so you have me to thank that they "fixed it". You might have not noticed but I am a CV main btw. I know how CVs work and how CV to DD interaction works and if you think that that exploit carries any risks besides input at the wrong time (yes you have to input it during a 1second tick. If you input beginning or end of tick you will be spotted) then sorry but it doesn't. It annoys the crap out of CV players however good or bad doesn't matter. A plane turning yellow from an invisible force is very annoying. For you it looks like 700 damage but that 700 damage can mean the difference between striking a DD with the same rocket squadron 2 times or once. -

Yosha_AtaIante replied to Padds01's topic in General Discussion
It only kills a plane instantly with MAA and only if the total squadrons HP is high enough. Without MAA it still damages a plane however. For a CV player on the receiving end it feels like hitting an invisible flak. Since only around 10 CV players actually know about this exploit the rest of the population usually reacts very confused and immedietly retreats no matter if you use MAA or not. -

Nope. It's a good idea because you aren't detected while doing it https://youtu.be/uJoDjjPF09s -
@Figment You lack prolonged experience in high tiers and experience in encountering actually threatening CV players. Those are rare but I can tell you for certain that most of your suggestions to avoid or mitigate CV attacks will lead to you and your team losing the battle outright. We know how to deal with DDs that hide between their cruisers, know how to single out targets and know how to direct a match into an outcome that favors us. Everything in a match is mostly under control and the moves you do as a single player don't matter as we can deal with you as we see fit. There is to much power behind CVs and the opportunities they can create. If you think you can retaliate against a CV like me for example who takes every opportunity availible to push towards the front lines and even caps then you are up for a rough time. And then comes your faith in team play that will be a roadblock for a whole until you understand how bad it is to even assume there is any of that to be found on random battles. If you state teammates as a means or form of mitigation against CV players (very inconsistent variable) then when said teammates are uncooperative or dead your mitigation options disappear leaving you with none. The Screenshots provide ranking data for shoukaku on the EU server. This ranking is around 2 weeks old On the second screenshot you can find a value called "Base capture" Mine is through the roof compared to the other players. This means that I'm capping in my CV and I do it a lot. With Noone on the enemy team most of the time having the ability to punish me for it. CVs in the right hands are powerful enough to not only kill anyone but also secure objectives with the hull just fine while they control the planes. There is no counterplay
