The problem is that the majority of spenders and regular spenders is likely more than fine with the current state of the game and its because of that that WG doesn't see a huge need for faster or more community driven changes. And those spenders don't come to the forums to complain. They don't even know 80% about what we talk about here. Those probably don't even understand the complexity of the game but still enjoy it. This is the problem

Considering that even the apparently increased planelosses that happend due to a bug on the last patch barely affected skilled CV players what you are saying pretty much sums up the current state of AA.

And then on top of that base XP is awarded to plane damage and not planes shot down (even though the achievement nonetheless gives basexp boost) so kind of meh when all you shoot down is fighter planes.

Having similar issues since last patch, it appears as you describe it that the past match including preloaded sounds occupy memory which forces me to restart my game after 4 - 5 battles because otherwise my performance drops or the sounds are broken.

The problem with decent AA is that an experienced CV player will strike you in such a way that your AA even if the dps values are objectively "good" for her tier barely will have much of an effect on the planes striking. That is because since you are a cruiser you are spotted from further away than your AA can shoot giving a good CV player time to approach you from an optimal striking angle with boost availible and ability to dodge flak the planes will enter, drop and exit before your AA can take effect.

I will be "quitting" once the missing carriers are returned by not playing anything but Zuiho and very occasionally Hayate and some premiums with friends if they want me to get out of my t6 hole (Zuiho will likely be t6) so, all I'm still playing for is to be under the best CV players (and because salt farming is fun) and the hope for them to possibly release Shigure as a premium. The direction the game is taking doesn't bother me much because I myself play a broken class anyway and with every patch they try to balance CVs I get new things I have to adjust for (new exploits for example lol) so it doesn't really get boring.

I guess the next step is to finally quit?

Tbh with the way most FDR players play their CV you don't even need to pray or huddle up, these players are so bad the only thing on their side is RNG if they are lucky. It's best to ignore FDR planes or dodge accordingly which is just topkek easy. Other CVs however are a different story. But who cares everyone picks FDR now anyway.

I don't want to go as low as to play in such a brainless way to be honest. The only thing it does against us is just driving the point home that it's time to take a smoke DD and due to some pepega things happening currently that takes us longer than expected. We are doing fine with Haku. I think it will and that is because the current FDR meta is relying on RNG atm. RNG decided which one of the DDs dies faster as you can either hit no bombs or 4 at a time (4 bombs translate to 12k+ dmg). And you can't influence it with skillful techniques. So literally the FDR that kills the enemy DD first wins the game if the surface ships don't pepega. This is just such a crap show that I'm not willing to take part in. I will test this myself for one or two sessions to have better first hand experience but what I've seen enemy FDRs commit against us so far was so cringe that just thinking about doing the same makes me angry.

The current FDR meta is an absolute crap show. You can put a chicken as a player for FDR and tell it to leftclick and spot the enemy DD. It can pick corn on the side and do chicken sounds, flap the wings around a little bit and all sorts of tricks as long as that chicken hovers over that DD and releasea it's RNG vomit occasionally it's all fine. So smoke DD is mandatory to counter the absolute no brainpower required chicken in its FDR. And what happens if everyone suddenly uses Grozoboi? Stalins come back because why not it's FDR anyway it can't punish Stalingrad because it has to perma strike that DD. So I call it. Soon everything will be SmokeDD, FDR, Stalin Stalin Goliath Petro Thunderer/Ohio. The meta however.. I don't care about the meta. I care about the absolute no skill requirement of that FDR. There is literally nothing you need to have, you don't need to be a CV main, you can be new to the game and people need to tell you only to stay in short range aa and occasionally drop your RNG vomit. That is just sad.

Yes certainly. I haven't really been nice to people in chat either....Especially not to those poor DDs and cruisers who had the fun of dying in the first few minutes.
