The answer about player quality is simple. It's not dropping but the game is getting more complicated. Subs, gimmicks, t11 and so on. The players are as bad as always but as the game gets more complicated the harder it gets for low quality players to play something good. They get punished harder and more often because their awareness doesn't increase or get better. Their knowledge stays the same and game is more difficult. Therefore bad players suffer more. Simple.

as you can see I had similar problems with GK (these are solo stats) but my Moskva and Edgar worked just as expected of my skill level. In the end you can have games which you won't win no matter how well you play but the majority of your losses are your fault in the case of my example my fault. My Moskva WR in 30 battles is only 60%. I aimed for 61% and failed. I talked with people and found out what my mistake was and I fixed it. Now I can reliably hold my Moskva solo winrate of 60.91% in 41 battles. That's good enough for me. crap happens but you need to not vent to much as that will cause you to blame things that might have had nothing to do with your losses but your own actions did. And then you won't see the mistakes

I wouldn't be against that change. Equalize the ranges too. Subs should be able to get punished equally

I don't feel like I'm on equal footing when my team doesn't do the moves that enable me as a BB to deal with a DD on my flank. It's the same thing. What I think also barely matters as it won't change the fact how things are in the game

Does a BB without radar or being a hybrid has a counter on his own against a Shima? Does a DM have a counter against overmatching BB?

I just think your view is very narrow. Because they are more than likely fine enough with the game to not feel the need to engage with other people in discussion about it? Shocking right? Because the topics opening is just stupid. View it objectively. WG actually engages on here, Yabba and Seraphice often enough reply but they only reply to select questions or help requests for good reason. As was stated already the tone of this forum has shifted to sich hostility and circle pleasing each other that any engagement outside of select ones are just meaningless. After all convincing stupid that they are stupid is impossible and when there are FAR MORE active users on the official discord who it is more worth to engage with who behave friendly and reasonable instead they serve the bigger part of the playerbase instead.

Believe me they are and those players call the forum a Zoo for a reason.

about the queue times. NA has 40% less players than EU and still have stable queue times. It will take a while before that happens so no worries I guess

Why are you worrying about this anyway? WG has professionals monitoring the situation and advising them constantly. You think they won't act as soon as they got worried that players leaving is reaching a critical point? WG pushing all this new stuff as confident as they are seems to indicate that the game is doing fantastically well. Especially financially

It depends on the ship and situation you are in. I'm when I play CL for example nevsky usually spotted because I shoot not because of a sub. As such I also am in a position that is flexible as in im always running or pushing closer depending on the need. There is no situation in which I can't decide on a whim which of the two I want to do. If I play Minotaur behind the island I always have an exit point otherwise I wouldn't take the position. Now if the sub in that situation is suddenly spotting me and I know that he can technically be the only one to spot me then usually I also know which direction that is from. Usually unless my flanks are exposed that is most times completely impossible to happen because the sub can't surface with my team covering my position. Without a team covering and me knowing the sub can eventually show up to spot me it would be stupid of me to not have pre-planned an exit plan for that. So I bail from the position before I allow the sub to pin me. So a sub usually never puts me in a position in a ship without planes that is uncomfortable for me. As reference below my solo stats in my 3 most played light cruisers in high tiers.

I already said it before and took a "break" because of it. Just read sunleaders post, he sums it up quite nicely too. This forum as I said before is like an asylum to keep all you guys busy complaining while the normal people are on the official discord being happy and playing the game. This forum holds you guys here so you don't disturb the peace.

No, they discuss the game. You don't always need to talk about issues. It's not your job to fix them anyway. Also if the "issues" were actually real then the people there would certainly discuss them.

It's Midway closely followed by Haku. Because Nakhi can't punish unicums. So Nakhi is the best against potatoes by a mile. However that's just copium because if there is that DD that you have to kill or a particular cruiser that just knows how to WASD you are screwed. Even Malta has more influence. Whenever I see a Nakhi unicum on the enemy team I'm much less bothered in comparison to a Haku or Midway because I know that with the other two he can harass me longer per squadron and I need to plan my actions more. With a Nakhimov I only need to be careful about a one directional drop once at a time and the less effective I make his strikes the less likely it'll be for him to harass me again.

Yeah, just compare the attitude on official discord and it will seem like a paradise in comparison. Btw WG staff engages often and actively there. Because mostly normal people discuss with each other normally over there. Something that became kind of impossible on here :/
