[Poll] Did you buy / are you planning to buy "Superships" ?

Got the US, not a fan of Eagle. Going to get Yamagiri too but I think Shima is better still because of the concealment. Excited to play US in the future.

Sorry I think me and Pano attacked a point you made earlier is why we are still hampering on it I guess. But We both know that our opinions just differ in that matter so I would just drop it then myself, the arguing about it i mean. So to your question about targeting the CV. I have a great example for you as this is literally what happened to me and how well it helped to win that game. I played Graf Zeppelin and ended up in t10 MM. The enemy CV player was a suoer unicum 70% WR Enterprise player and the MM favored him greatly meaning he had less AA to worry about compared to me and he had the strongest t8 CV while I had arguably one of the weakest. So the best option in this particular case (and I would say any case where your opponent is a SU CV if nothing else is more important or threatening) was to attempt to snipe him. And so I did together with TipsyTorpedo being my divmate in a BB (monarch) back then as she was grinding we managed to make his life hell and sink him within 10 minutes. SInce he was constantly worried about us sniping him he not only barely had match influence but we lowered the enemies chance to win greatly that way. He wasn't happy. You can implement that approach in all your games however you need to have a CV player in your div (surface ship or CV doesnt matter) who understands in that particular MM and circumstances if it's truly worth it or if playing normally is better for winning. If your goal is winning that is. If your goal isn't winning however then there is another way to apply massive pressure on the enemy CV and that is to push the weak enemy flank "wide" meaning you put yourself towards the edge of the map even at enemies spawn. This puts massive pressure on the enemy CV to follow the lemming and if you succeed to overrun the enemy flank with an organized div push you most of the time will kill that CV as he has nowhere to go. If your goal isn't winning and you have a CV player then make it so that he strikes the enemy CV in a way which forces him to flee into a particular direction. Now you position your surface ships in a way that eventually will intercept that fleeing CV if he doesn't die to a relentless assault of your CV divmate. Most CVs with the right technique and understanding can easily snipe other CVs, it's about resource management and finding the fastest and safest plane route

I have not been accused of being an alt of @Panocek or vise/versa ever yet :D That's quite interesting. But seriously. The same level of counterplay you can do against said DD is right for CVs with the exception of you seeing the CV planes approaching while only being able to guess by spotted torps where the DD is. Let's break it down so you don't think I'm completely dishonest here on purpose or something: DD after missing his torps due to your awareness and steering is now somewhat known in both location and type due to previous spotting/MM information. You now keep it in mind while engaging the enemy. DD restricts your movements and turning options however from now on so you have to worry about showing the enemy broadside if you want to dodge DD torps or worry about turning at the wrong time as DD might wait for it and devstrike you. Also the DD spots you even if you try to disengage. You can only shoot him if a teammate helps you to spot him/radar or the DD makes a mistake and you for some reason push him into the border line to spot him A CVs planes are seen on approach so you know whats going to potentially hit you before it has the chance. It gives you prep time to turn for dmg mitigation. The strikes alpha is much lower. You also need to worry about the enemy team punishing dodging attempts but only during the time the strike actually engages you which lasts maybe 30seconds, compared to a DD spotting you and able to potentially torp you that is exceptionally generous. Also the planes only spot you while they attempt to strike you, once they did they stop spotting you contrary to the DD. You can't shoot back at the CV however but this doesn't really change how the match plays out. So while you can eventually corner a bad DD player who doesn't pay attention an unspotted DD on your flank is usually a far greater issue than the occasional CV strike or not? Is my assessment wrong? If so, tell me how please
  7. It's hilarious how easy you would be to manipulate

    Best T8 Carrier now?

Let's just say that there is still much that you can improve on and if you do then she will feel more than powerful enough to you
  9. Yosha_AtaIante

    Best T8 Carrier now?

Its not, you are mistaken. It requires more skill to use after the rocket change but that's about it
  10. Yosha_AtaIante

    Best T8 Carrier now?

This is wrong because what makes E so strong is to have very maneuverable rockets and many of them with fast recovery which are easy to use and hit hard. Hornet doesn't have that. So Hornet is because of that alone one of the least influential ships and very limited in target selection

I mean you develop playing habits. You might "forget" that Shoukaku can't sacrifice the first torp bomber squad you take off early or else she is crippled until endgame for example. Since Kaga has different target selection compared to shoukaku you also develop different habits in that regard. Overall each CV has it's own way to play it effectively

    Goodbye KotS..?

kots or video games in competetive scenes are considered sport. It seems like for you kots isn't that important. So if its just entertainment then just watch something else you like

Superships: I see no way back from this.

It's a servertick. This gif was made after the "deto only below 70%~hp"

    Goodbye KotS..?

If I watch the soccer world cup I don't care on which TV studio I watch or which livestream I watch. I care about the game and the players performance not about the commentator.

Yeah but Kaga also helps to manifest bad play because of how easy she is compared to other CVs.

    Best T8 Carrier now?

He specifically asked which CV is the best, not which is the best for him though. I'm just answering his question. But if he asked me which CV to pick I would still recommend Shoukaku because if you learn how the most difficult ship works you learn how all of them works
  17. Yosha_AtaIante

    Goodbye KotS..?

Then if it needs to be a specific streamer to watch kots it means kots is only secondary to you so you actually don't care about it so stop pretending

    You are exceptional

Is anyone still taking you serious? I hope they stop after this
  20. Yosha_AtaIante

    Goodbye KotS..?

well nothing is holding you back from watching. The streamers who were banned aren't the only ones who stream and if you only want to watch and see the game it shouldn't matter who you watch

    Best T8 Carrier now?

Dont check them via those. Shoukaku will automatically look weak in comparison because of its massive skillfloor. Kaga in comparison is far far easier to play. If we talk about power it's the 3 I mentioned. If it's after ease of play and okay results nearly all t8 CVs would qualify

I would suggest you try to practice shoukaku. Once you feel as comfortable as you do in Kaga you will get better returns. However Shoukaku is much more difficult to play as you need to manage your resources
  23. Yosha_AtaIante

    Best T8 Carrier now?

Enterprise is still the strongest followed closely by Shoukaku, in my opinion Lexington being slightly behind. Those are currently the 3 strongest. Chlalov is a meme that can be strong against potatoes but decent players can shrug off most of her strikes

    General CV related discussions.

I was thinking about including her but she is slightly too weak on every individual squad to compare to the 3 mentioned. You can't carry the same way.
  25. Yosha_AtaIante

    Goodbye KotS..?

it's actually the smartest question. Kots isn't about viewership after all it's about playing it
