I seem to have a similar issue - have logged into the test server a few times over the last few days. However, now it comes up with game loading, then "waiting for authorisation" - then sits there - until it eventually times out saying that it can't connect to the server. P.S. It would be nice if there were a 'cancel' button, as, once it's trying to connect, you can't get out of it.
I should say that after initially downloading the public test version, it did this for a couple of days - then started allowing me to connect (I just assumed that it took a day or so for your server to realise I was connecting) - anyway, I played the test server for about 4 days(?), now it's gone back to the "waiting for authorisation" bit.
