  1. Seems there's a lot of posts about ping spikes. If your router has a 'Quality of Service' (QoS) feature, find out how to prioritise your account or WoW - I suspect it's different according to which router you have. Whenever somebody at our place starts accessing the router via phone or PC, ping spikes happen almost immediately. Yes it's an ancient router and I will be investing in a decent one which has QoS. I've recently run an Ethernet cable straight to the router as well, and shut down all background programs which might suddenly decide to access the internet. Get your ISP and/or phone provider to check your connection as well. Maybe even change your ADSL filter - I don't think they last forever. I'm sure somebody has posted tips like this before though.
