    Converting Steel for Coal!

It's bad for sanity if you try to rank out and get all the rewards. If you just go for say, rank 6 or so, you still get some steel and it's easy enough to get there. Up to the individual player to decide how much tryharding they want to do.

    suggestion

If I understood you right, you want to lower the amount of players on teams in randoms. That's fine. Please, learn to use proper punctuation and capitalization, reading this post literally gave me a headache. No offense, it really is very hard to read.

    Uncommon builds/ships you like

I remember not building my Udaloi as a pure gunboat, going for a full stealth build instead, and having a great time with it. Yes, the stealth isn't great, but I found late game I could switch between hybrind and pure gunboat gameplay as needed, and I quite liked it, had good results with it. Mind you, this was pre-CV rework when CV's were a rare sight, otoh this was also before it had a heal, so things have changed. It's still a good boat no matter how you build her, though.

Is fire prevention skill worth it ?

No, if you want to have a game with builds you must be forced to compromise. The entire mechanic of having builds goes out of the window if you can afford everything that benefits you, it's good that you have to choose. Being able to spec for full secondaries yet having the tanking skills of non secondary builds as well means you effectively don't have to compromise. 7 additional points is a lot, it means you could add either CE or FP + BoS on your secondary build. Sounds very boring and unbalanced, so for me, no thanks.

    Converting Steel for Coal!

Steel is much slower to farm, because you can only get it at specific times, and usually by playing specific game modes. However, I'd like to suggest that even if you're not in a clan that can do clan battles effectively, you can still easily farm some steel in ranked. You don't need to rank out to still get 2-3k in a season fairly easily. In contrast, coal can be farmed every day simply by playing. I understand your logic, but I think it'd be wiser to set long term goals, and try to farm some additional steel in ranked. So, if you do that for two ranked seasons, and use a coupon, that's one of the cheaper steel ships. If you're patient, you can go for something higher in tier as well. I would highly advise against practicing the dark arts of steel to coal conversion, but ofc, it's your choice.

    Tier VIII Smolensk????? Ochakov

Shhhh, if WG hears you they might remove the engine from the Henri entirely.

Don't you know that the Soviets had the best navy in ww2, if only the had been able to build these ships, that is...
  9. Indeed. Age varies. Suck is universal
  10. TBH I've found the JuSt FoR fUn crowd to be distributed among all ages, from your edgy 12 year old to his grandpa that taught him all he knows with his 42% wr.

    Remove the cyclone "feature"

Holy crap I didn't even notice. That's one epic necro. @CptMinia it has risen again, and once again the forums call for your powers.

    Remove the cyclone "feature"

I don't like cyclones, whether your team benefits from them or gets shafted by them is just completely rng. Hey, you're not allowed to shot anything anymore this match, because the enemy is all running away, and rng said it's cyclone time. Fun fun. It's just silly. But then, people also defend detonations on these forums so, eh, I guess people want rng deciding battles rather than actual gameplay.

TIME TO ADD: USS WASHINGTON (BB-59)

No thanks to more bb's with radar. No thanks to creating a ship so OP you're already proposing it gets removed forever 5 months after introduction. TBH, even though I like the ship, no thanks to yet another NC, with that and two South Dakotas in game I think we're more than covered when it comes to t8 3x3 406mm USN BB's. I mean, if they want to introduce the Washington, fine, but not like outlined here.

Is fire prevention skill worth it ?

You might be thinking "I'm rarely on 3-4 fires anyway, so why bother?". The reason is simple - other than the fact that it also increases your fire resistance, the way fires work is that without FP, you can get 1 fire on the bow, two in the middle, and one on the stern. With FP, you can only get one fire in the middle, which is where most people will be hitting you, so it does make for a big difference. You will also want BoS and SI on your bb tank build.
  15. I haven't noticed what the op is saying, and on the few occasions when I was both able and willing to stay up late at night for ships, the teams would get extremely bad once past 2 AM mark, it's much better to be in bed at that time. Afternoons and evenings were mostly "fine", as in, not crappier than usual. I'm just glad the christmas patch teams are behind us, less said about them, the better. That being said, if a certain time works for you better, just play then, I guess. If your WR improves as a result, you were right. If it doesn't, assume confirmation bias.
  16. Yea I did manage a somewhat decent wr this weekend, but getting satisfying games felt like crawling through broken glass. Actually had a 25k Thunderer game because I spawned on the (much) weaker flank and the enemy Haku just decided to only go for me until I die. I dodged, I used sector, I used defAA, shot down maybe.. 14 planes? He got himself a full hp bb instead. It's CV's that have to go, I'd rather play against 3 smolensks than a CV that knows what he's doing and decided to delete me. There is no justification for this crap.
  17. Funny thing is, I asked them not to do exactly that right at the start of the game when I saw them turning in that direction. I don't think these people can read, though, they probably communicate by pointing and grunting.
  18. Honestly, people who do this need to uninstall.
  19. I used a 2x bonus ones to reduce the amount of resets needed by one, then reset and fxp-ed the haru line until I had enough for the Ohio.

ST - Changes to test ships and Devonshire

I think a part of the problem actually is the selection process and what is required to become a supertester. I've seen people that claim stuff like "Smolensk is fine". They usually do between 40-60k average on it, with a suitably horrendous winrate to go with it, as well. Of course they won't think it's overpowered, because simply - nothing is overpowered when they play it. Basing balancing decisions on testing conducted by these sorts of players explains a lot about WG's balancing decisions, though.

Puerto Rico Are WOWs going compensate for 28/36 of Ship?

You already got rewards for every stage completed. If you're expecting wg to give you additional doubloons when their entire goal was to make you buy them, you're in for a disappointment. I'm also not sure how you managed to arrive at the conclusion WG should give you 875k doubloons, the math involved must have been quite hilarious.

WoWs v0.9.3 - Changes in the Armory (No more "Smolensk")!

Yes, those guys. I recently heard them say on official stream that they're happy with the CV rework, and honestly, Smolensk is fine. From that point on I just look at their balancing and public statements as a form of comedy, which has significantly increased the entertainment value of the game for me.

    Nave Roma and "Gufo" radar

Friesland has a giant radar dish and doesn't get radar in game. Giulio historically had torps, shall we add those to a famously op ship? Historical accuracy is a poor way to argue balance in a game that isn't, nor has ever tried to be, a historically accurate naval sim. This argument becomes increasingly problematic specifically when you talk about radar, because, if you do research, you'll see that almost anything that saw service in late ww2 onwards was fitted with radar - you'd literally end up having it on everything t6-7 and up. Clearly, a bad idea, which would make DD's lives even more miserable. So WG is bound to love it.

LOL russian cruisers split coming next

And if you happen to be playing the Kamchatka, which totally needs to be introduced, the game should randomly render all types of phantom japanese torpedoboats in your vicinity. They're only there visually and can't really torp you. The game also sometimes randomly misidentifies friendly ships as enemy IJN torp boats as well for you, as long as you're in that ship. Hey, they like gimmicks, it doesn't get more gimmicky than that ^

LOL russian cruisers split coming next

Yes! Also, this captain needs to have a special animation added; every time a teammate dies, you can see a small set of binoculars being thrown into the sea from the bridge. There should also be a box containing about 50 binoculars visible somewhere on the ship he's commanding. Also, Kamchatka premium wg when
