Inertia Fuse Skill. Yay or Nay?
Captain_Newman replied to Sir_Sinksalot's topic in General Discussion
That's wait and see territorry, afaik the proposed changes aren't final yet, at least not officially. When it comes out you'll need to decide which ships you still want it on, as they're trying to make it more of an optional skill. The 50% loss of firechance is rather significant, so it'll become a tossup between wanting direct or fire damage. -

It's a CL with 152's, so IFHE is a no brainer. Don't worry about the incoming IFHE changes, you'll get a free respec when that happens, so you'll be able to opt out of it then if you'll want to. -
Republique is worth the grind.

Somehow I missed your post. Thank you for the explanation. Cut down on coffees, though.

This game has very, very forgiving economy as it is. As others have said, t10 isn't supposed to be a money grinding tier, if you can perform decently you shouldn't ever lose money, though. My advice, get yourself a t9 fxp or coal reward ship, those are really good for credit farm. My advice, Jean Bart before it's removed, if you can grind enough coal in time.

As someone who never played wot, what does this do, exactly?

Getting overrun, or overrunning the other team....

It doesn't have to be a priority, there is a wide spectrum between "top priority, everyone work on this" and "completely neglected". A company of WG's resources could surely afford to have a few employees in a department tasked with developing and maintaining this kind of content? I know SerB's maybach needs it's gold-plated rims, but after that if some resources could be devoted to actual content, that'd be nice..

You could have both cooperative and PvP scenarios, in both historical and made up settings. Raid for the Filth even had 3 teams fighting (or not?) each other in a somewhat-scenario like setting. Personally I think some historical events could be fun played from both sides - one team fights for the historical outcome, the other tries to turn it around. And when subs come, pvp scenarios involving convoy escort for a team of destroyers, and a team of wolfpack subs tasked with destroying it, could be pretty cool. Come to think of it, this could be an entire new game mode / battle type. All that being said, they already charge us for premium ships, premium time, event lootboxes, doubloons, camos, etc... I don't particularly want to have to sub in order to have access to all game content - the game's formula is f2p, but if you want to make it easier or faster by getting more xp, credits etc. per battle, or having an interesting premium ship better suited for some tasks, then we pay. I don't think going into subscription-for-pve territory would be a great idea, all they need to do is invest some effort into this kind of content and it will definitely pay itself off. Having a fun game mode where one doesn't have to worry about roflstomp matches wrecking his stats, and can just relax while playing a historical - like battle would definitely be popular and beneficial for both pvp and pve players alike.

TBH I find t8 a lot better than what it used to be. It's t7 that suffers more now, being constantly thrown into t9 matches... -
The credit missions will advance even if you lose money on a battle, because it only looks at your total credit earnings, not earnings - service costs.

It would help to know if this stuttering are ping spikes, or actual fps stutters / almost freezes etc?

Deleting the entire class would save them from having to make these stretches, just saying...

Brazil did have a CV, but it was a Clemencau class bought from France, so probably way too modern for the game.

NEW MM ALGORITHM? 1DD vs 0 DD
Captain_Newman replied to GregoryStavicki's topic in General Discussion
As others have said, it can happen on occasion. Also, when you take phone screenshots of your screen, a kitten is drowned somewhere in the world. Please, think of the kittens and learn to do screenshots, it's fairly easy -
CV players and the joys of playing new lines at T3-5

Sounds like a plan, though I won't be able to play before, say, 18-19h GMT+2 (it's 10:20 AM for me at the time of posting) -

[Poll] What did you get from the "Super Container" that you got for "Service Record" upgrade in WoWs v0.9.1 ?
Captain_Newman replied to Leo_Apollo11's topic in General Discussion
100 India Deltas. I wasn't expecting anything too special, I've got close to everything in terms of premium ships, and I'm not going to complain since the SC I got before this actually dropped a Kamikaze. I mean, steel or coal would've been nice, as I've already got over 3k india deltas, but w/e. -

I'm actually starting to think we should all start sealclubbing in t4 CV's almost exclusively. Run MM monitor while you do it, and focus on making life extra miserable for new players. Maybe if WG starts seeing that this is effectively nuking their new player retention, they might get worried about their income and actually do something. As it is, I'm still hearing them say things like "we're happy with the rework, it's good" and "smolensk is fine" on streams, which just bsods my brain.. -

Well, I'm not a Brit, but I was hoping for the Norfolk, though that's a different County sub-class.. maybe it still comes one day. -
New upgrades, where are you using them?

I had a double t8 CV game 2-3 days ago, 2 on each team. Queue time was like, 3 seconds. Funny how those amazing soft caps work... -
Getting overrun, or overrunning the other team....
Captain_Newman replied to RamboCras's topic in General Discussion
I had a slightly better, but equally frustrating experience yesterday. Better as in, it was the enemy teams doing the melting most of the time. Frustrating because they either melted or ran so fast it was hard to get any damage or a good score out of them. I really don't understand why a team that still has like 8-9 relatively healthy ships decides to give up all caps and sail to a map corner.. what is going on in these heads? Why don't they at least try to fight for map control / capture points? Even if they lose, it's still a more fun game for everyone involved, this runner to the map edge is just a boring and frustrating experience for everyone. And then they go complain about the sniping meta.. have you tried not being at 25km from everything yourself? -
Did the first directive yesterday in a couple of hours after work. Literally 3 days I could twiddle my thumbs and not even play, and I'd still make it. If the patch day weekend teams get to me, I may very well do that.
