At best.... it is a requirement to have have a 21 point cap, in order to play ranked? it is a requirement to have your ship fitted out ( at all or) in a certain way to play ranked? And that is not a consumable, you are simply confused, because in the game there is no aiming mechanic involved but, again it is a weapon, just like secondary armament and AA is. Everything that fires/releases ammunition is a weapon. Even planes are. edit l was wrong because the depth charge is actually the ammunition, not the weapon. The depth charge thrower, the hedgehog and the planes are the weapons. That's actually not half bad. Still not great either. Because DFAA, Radar, Hydro, AA in fact are all mechanics of the game. Angling is not a mechanic, but is a tactic based on the "penetration" mechanic (I'm generic here). Maneuvering is also a tactic And, no shells are not a counter, not even "technically" ::) They are ammunition, lolz. I already covered dat. And no AA is not anything remotely close to radar. Still they are both mechanics of this game. At best is a temporary counter. Because ya know, its time gated.... I had a LOT of run ins with Ahksance on NA. Basically he has the mindset of a game dev and boy...... He tries to explain things from a "tabletop" style of view while ignoring the fact PvP is NOT tabletop. in tabletop sacrifice is a valid tactic because there is ONE player vs PVP where it isn't because there are are many players...... Also no chance that "he is wrong" becasue " he "did a school for that" and similar crap.....

Pretty, much this. Still, what can I add is that I'm a cruiser main and in bronze they were balanced. I could get them if needed, I could dodge them and I could get killed by them. But in silver.....oh boy... And you are spot on about dd's, even if I don't play them. Matches my experience 100%.
