Pressing Ctrl+Shift+Backspace will untie the viewpoint from your ship. As you can see I'm literally on top of Raptor while my ship is with the rest of the fleet. That's Myogi seen from the other side while the fleet and me is shooting at.

Yes and..... no. In this case it was actually a sunken bot which blocked Raptor. The screen is form the replay, I wanted to see what happened and who did what. Otherwise you are kinda correct, but in my/this case I had to rush back to sink the Kuma after I got the Cv (Ryuho) and I didn't entered into the channel. Just to give you a hint once I gathered 500k FXp in one week in this op. This is my favorite op. Otherwise In Aegis the bots can sunk the transports if someone is meddling in the middle of them. I\ve seen it happen. I had to turn back after we sank all the bots, only I didn't made it in time. I didn't realized the problem until it was too late. I was busy getting the last two cruisers. What you see is in free cam mode meaning that the viewpoint is not tied to the/my ship. My ship is actually before the corner, to the right, I didn't made it into the channel at all. In Raptor the changes are dreadful, now the transport are all over the place and keep getting behind , no matter what. usually very few people remain around them and they still look like a bunch of drunk drivers

I don't want Cv;s gone I want them at least partially honestly implemented. How about that? However if you ask me if Cv;s in current or them begone the latter all day. Comparing DD's to Cv's based on subjective criteria's frankly is pretty far fetched. Oh my precious and alike have no place in serious discussions about any subject. I mean...... it is completely ridiculous, lolz But it is true that there is no objective factual argument that could support their presence in their current form. Zero and zilch. So.....yeah "I want my stuff and I want to pretend that I'm right"...nope. Sorry doesn't work that way. No not really. Other than being entirely and completely a "you" problem. A full fledged PvP. 4-6 ships per side +/-1 fixed tiered , tho as a weekend event could be even 9. All the "brilliant" KM caps can have their fun :)- 16 replies

I''ll second that. Tho tbh I kinda understand why they are so reluctant, to address this issue. From a game design pov reduces the tactical variety that Cv's have thus directly impacting their playability. But it is outright insane to "take hostage" the majority of the players over that. Cv's don't need a legitimacy to be pat of the game, they were historically part of naval warfare and still will be able to shat on everybody with impunity.

Actually there is none. Wows is a combat game, therefore by definition.... simulates combat:) And to a degree naval warfare:) Every combat is unfair to a certain degree. Wows pushes this a bit further by being a "balanced imbalance" game. However Cv's are very different from that concept. The motivations behind Cv's current iterations are entirely psychological.

I repeat this is no politics. In order to solve a problem, one has to correctly asses the problem and for that in turn one has to go all the way to the bottom. to see all the facets of said problem. I am from a former Warsaw pact country, therefore I'm fully aware of the problem. Never was a problem of efficiency. Statistics are based on math and the need to quantify. How one quantify Mozart or Beethoven?. You can't. Rule based systems doesn't work with and on humans. Never worked and never will. We are too adaptable, too curious and too creative. Period. No, it is very much practical. How can one asses a problem when he is unaware that there could be and actually is a problem? Zero chance for that. For example, how can one explain to a caveman the need to charge a smartphone? Or what is that? He can have his own marvellous culture ......but he won't understand the need. Or that he should not hunt indiscriminately because it will lead to extinction. He needs to eat right? To be very clear I am talking about a problem and nothing else. It is a communication/perception/scaling problem.

Wedgie won't change a thing. Their entire model is based on a "scientific" model which in turn is based on dehumanization, which in turn is deeply rooted, based and connected to the social experiment called USSR. They are completely impervious to any kind of arguments based on the human experience. Only the goal matters comrade. Edit: This is all history and no politics. For example it was "accepted" ( well... not really but enforced) as a "scientifically proven fact" that their model was superior to "capitalism" ( ergo anything connected to liberties) , therefore anybody who challenged that had to be mentally insane. You don't challenge 1+1=2, right? That's why dissidents were locked in mental institutions. It was (?) a whole societal organization..

Yeah, but there is no reasonable, let alone factual argument, which can be formulated to defend the class, in its current iteration. Even RTS Cv's had a LOT more legitimacy. Tbh if spotting would be deleted ( I mean completely, not all sorts of sh#t mechanics) from their feature list....I would call an armistice.

You are correctly seeing the core issue of Cv's. They are a strategic class in a tactical PvP shooter gamer. However they could have been made more inline with the game while maintaining their... "appeal" ...or somethin.... In order to properly understand the problem presented by Cv's we have to enumerate all the things which separate them from ..... all the normal ships. Cv's don't detonate. Cv's are hard to lit up or make them to flood thus they are highly immune to DOT. Cv's can launch planes when of fire, flooded or under direct fire. All three of them. Cv's don't take module damage to their plane regenerating capabilities. To none of them, not even resetting the reload This is just the base setup, not actual interaction with other ships and is already incredibly dumb and retarded. Now the explanation to all of that idiocy is that if one side loses its Cv , then an imbalance is created. Which is again dumb, because obviously implies that Cv's have capabilities which exceed that of normal ships. Which is of course true, but constantly was/is denied by both Wedgie and the "pro Cv crowd". So... lolz... Now the interaction: planes obviously enjoy net tactical superiority over any surface ships, but that's not necessarily a problem. so lets skip that. However what is problematic is the AA vs plane interaction. Aa cannot be even attempted to balance because of the Cv's +/-2 MM, for obvious reasons. As a result, for example T8 Cv's can see AA varied from T6 to T10. Just how dumb that is.... And we got to the most toxic and retarded element of this interaction: spotting. Cv's can spot for themselves and for the team to virtually no cost for themselves. And Wedgie does what ? Instead of outright deleting this idiocy, keep trying to invent all sorts of retarded mechanics, thus keeping the playerbase divided and contributing, well ....actively fueling the toxicity within the playerbase Can you imagine all of this sh#t?. Ultimately Wedgie painted itself into a corner because if they change anything, they have to admit their failure. Does this sounds familiar from... somewhere??

I just had a ranked in which we lost because of the Cv. I evaded 90% of his attacks and still in the end I got sunk. Needless to say that I reported him even if he played good. Just because. Cv's have alienated soo many people from this game, they don't make any kind of sense from PvP gameplay nor historical pov. The only reason, which can justify their current implementation I can think of is not pretty and is entirely psychological.
