Way to go Wedgie, frakkin up ranked.....
Andrewbassg replied to Andrewbassg's topic in General Discussion
Nope. U mean forecast based on.. polls? Hows dat the same thing as.... election history? Yo..... Aka petting your belly. But.... that's straight up false, no matter what . Coz the Earth is not flat :) The morale is that one need to stop thinking in a narrow one or two dimensional ways. And how is that different from the treatment of the jews by nazi's? That was also based on and mandated for "potential" "crimes". Also you know who loves and needs predictability?? Big money and companies. And let me quote myself : Interesting how we go full circle, isn't it ? :) Sure as hell I don't want to see no frakkin fascism around me, techno or otherwise . And no, I'm no friend of Mr ....umpssolini for the very same reasons. I'm friend of the human experience Ummm.......please take it as a form of humor Yet. No worries :) I just had enough of keep getting "insulted" :) -

No. I'm telling you that you should not use statistical and/or incomplete data to predict human behavior. You can analyze, however you cannot predict. Statistical analysis is history, not prophecy. I never said that a change will not be visible in stats, however stats won't predict the/a change and in a case of a radical change it will take time to show up in stats. I'm pointing out the limitations, aka its place I'm not downplaying the use itself. Tell me what is statistically more significant one week of continuous good play or 3 years of not so good? There you go. And since I was continuously analyzed in this thread... 20220528_154646_PJSC009-Mogami-1935_41_Conquest.wowsreplay 20220528_181140_PJSC009-Mogami-1935_50_Gold_harbor.wowsreplay 20220528_173441_PJSC009-Mogami-1935_52_Britain.wowsreplay ...tell me if those plays are reflective of my stats. Those are near continuous plays. Thank you, I will. -
Heads up. New devblog about ec rework is up. Ugh....
Andrewbassg replied to Andrewbassg's topic in General Discussion
This has to be given the proper attention. People, if you think that you have stockpiles and you are "safe", you are wrong. If you don't use up your bonuses, they will be converted into credits Also the conversion process isn't automated, the "calculator" is there to merely show what is possible. You will be given tokens, which then will need to be spent. You will have to decide what bonuses you will purchase. It seems that I was wrong. The tokens are only for the "service reduction bonuses" which indeed will be exchanged for tokens. Apologies for the misleading post. -
just what we needed/s And you thought subs are already fast...
Andrewbassg replied to Jethro_Grey's topic in General Discussion
Yeah....still there are people who believe that subs actually need buffs... Also this being a premium, you wanna bet that they will release subs together with the ec rework? So instead of swim, we will drown in brownish materiel? -

Kitakami, Blyska, Petro and Ru Cv's says Hiii You mean..... they don't submerge? And IRL their primary weapons are......not torps? (Obviously we don't talk about present day) Ummm....oookay. You mean.....Kitakami, Petro, Ru Cv;'s, superships, and particularly super Cv's?? Also comrade you talk about Wedgie and balance in the same sentence?? Where have you been lately? Also you keep forgetting that this is one premium sub. You will still enjoy the homing from the other ones -

Yo....no....Only there is so much misinformation around (generally speaking) that I decided a long time ago that dispelling those are a vital necessity, no matter the medium. -

I missed this one so...... There is no contradiction. Me, personally, I don't care how good one player is, I care what he does in that battle. However, the metric which sets apart a good player is how consistently is he able to present good performance. Communism was never present in Europe. The URSS ( let alone the Warsaw Pact countries) was never even socialist, let alone communist . The only places you will find real communism is in kibbutzes and monasteries, because requires the renunciation to self interest. That's why Marx insisted on the necessity of an intermediate socialist state (where everything is provided by the state) so the human consciousness could shift from one based on concurrence ( i.e the struggle to survive) towards one based on cooperation forgetting the former. Yo....I actually know this stuff. -

No, not really. Erm.....no. And also yes. Let me give you 2 examples: 1. Player Joe is a good player, however he likes to drink while playing, therefore in the first 2 games he is good, after that.... not so much. As a result his stats are unsurprisingly trash. However, one day he decides to back off from the booze and from that point he plays at his true colors. Could have been that predicted based solely on his past performance? 2. Player Jack has an eye related medical condition. Still, he plays the game for a variety of reasons and he has a fairly good grasp of the game but his stats are reflective of his condition. One day he gathers enough money to make the treatment and suddenly, almost literally overnight, he is a superuni (lolz) Again, could have been that predicted based solely on his past performance? These scenarios are not far fetched "imposibilities" these can very much happen IRL. My point is that while statistics are very useful tools, they are far from being infallible and using them to predict individual human performance is just wrong, not because on average they don't paint an accurate picture but because they rely on data, which is not always present or it is incomplete and sudden changes in patterns, which humans can pretty much freely decide on, is something with which the "system" cannot cope. Of course it will. After the fact. -

I see that you are a man of culture:) No I'm not "golden" anymore :) No. What you are talking about is related to physical performance which comes with inherent, specific limitations which don't apply to esports Also applying statistical analysis for esports as a from of prediction assumes that peak performance has already been achieved. Which might or might not be the case. And no it is not possible extrapolating future performance, unless the player remains constant in both motivation and performance. Set aside the variables imposed by the game. No ...:) I'm not denying the existence of statistics .I'm pointing out the false beliefs in its infallibility, in its capabilities and also the blindness towards its specific limitations. Statistical analysis is always past tense, that's why making (especially game) management decisions based solely on it is retarded. Ya know.... the "legendary" and "mythical" spreadsh#t. Still statistical analysis is very useful for providing information, for example about tendencies, and as a result more informed decisions can be made. But to replace the human decision making or to make predictions about individuals....... ooouch.... Remember Asimov :) Well......lets put this way. I am as good, as I want to be :) I am playing a naval combat game for the reasons as it being a "naval combat game" :) -

I'm sorry, but... no. I'm already doing that. Hopefully mods like this won't be removed/deemed illegal. I'm sure that the company has its (probably multiple) reasons for doing it, however the removal of the -4% dispersion benefit alone makes it for me a hard no and an undoubtedly negative change, besides all the other economical implications. -

Umm.... the problem is that we are discussing subjects that each alone and separately are candidates to several PhD's, online, in writing so.....Still briefly.. No. In the so called marxist societies (which were such only by their "goal") societal control was incredibly advanced and sadly became a goal in itself, completely replacing the initial goal and that's what I meant when I said it is creeping up/getting imported into democracies. Marxism could be broken down into 3, (not so) separate parts 1.The philosophy - "No man should ever exploit another man" which is the core tenet. 2. The "science" - Which is the marxian "social "sciences' and formed the basis of todays social sciences and is...kinda wrong 3. The political activism - the projection of the "path", which uses the "science" as a form of justification. - The only clean part is the philosophy, the others are riddled with all sorts of errors and quite fundamental contradictions. You are not wrong, however this is much more complex, for example Bismarck also could be called a visionary for the german people, for "implementing" and overseeing a path that will result in today's Germany. However, and this is very important, we need to keep in mind that societies were never constructed, they were always formed. A house can be constructed, however a society is not the house, it is the family. Which brings us to interest because that's what forms societies, people who share the same interests And....... Erm.... that's not what I meant. I meant the marxian scientific materialism. However it is good that you brought it up because greed, by itself, is not a bad thing. Just because somebody wants more...., that's not a bad thing .Still, absolutely it could be become a bad thing if causes harm. And no, not greed drives people, but interest, which could include.....money
