You mean "lets impair cruisers even more"? By making them even more unattractive? Just ...no...... When Deadyee kicked in I refused to play randoms. Just think about it, open water gunboating and kiting just deleted from the game

Fixed.

See Wedgie what you have done?? GG I guess...... -
Nah comrade, that is already promised to the upcoming never existedTM "Komsomolskaya Pravda" class battle.......erm........( barely)floating fortress.
-
Well........sorta yes. And also very much no. Because we talk about a 1600 BXP game, which is impossible in coop. I'm gonna be honest, I'm not gonna quantize the changes in terms of good or bad. They are... changes. I'm kinda sure that the changes are not gratuitous, they have reasons behind it. However A is an A not a B. Still ....it needs to be said that there will be some quasi permanent bonuses 50% from ship ( perma camo) 50% from clan (if fully upgraded) 50% from daily win Which in this/my case means a total of 408 FXP So, generally speaking, good/older players are less impacted by this changes.. With the notable exception of the removal of the +4% dispersion, which is across the board and is very very bad, especially for cruisers, impacts directly the gameplay and I see no reason to justify it.
-
So I did some math and ooouuuch........ people.....start hoarding FXP also to a (not much) lesser extent ECXP. In the example I earned 853 FXP before modifiers ( i.e 17045 * 0.005) under the new system I would have earned a whopping 163!! Holy Moly......that's what I call a proper slaughtering nerf hammer!!!
-
Hi there. The idea was to make a direct comparison based on a concrete example between the old and the new system, evaluating what is possible and what it takes, to get, roughly similar benefits. Thanks for clarifying the math behind the FXP calculations. Which will be FXP = BXP • 0.1 • ......
-
Well..... if we talk concrete, then lets be concrete. What bonuses we should add? And since we are at this....De Grasse is a premium which should mean moar credits right? Edit nvm I found it +5% credits +50% XP +50% Commander XP +50% Free XP
-
Good point. The current calculation is FXP = XP • 0.05 • ...... . What is the new one?
-
Ah i missed to post the FXP breakdown
-
Thank you!! Still I think we have more differences regarding CXP because in the new system, the ship bonuses (as named in the results screen - 14,340) are NOT added to the final result.
-
Tbh......I'm not dong that either. I tend to play the very first battle in ops, then I change to ranked. However l'm not gonna deny that ops helped a LOT to get my 21 pointers. Still..... I wanted to provide a concrete, usable example and not waste signals in the process.

That's a very good initiative.

[NA Forum] What should I buy with my precious resources???? 2022 Top players poll on BEST STEEL, COAL & RB SHIPS!
Andrewbassg replied to Leo_Apollo11's topic in General Discussion
Good question. NA and EU have significant differences in playstyle, mentality and player quality.. The good (and also generally) NA players tend to concentrate on BB's coz.... Big Sasquatch reasons NA dd players tend to be either very good or very bad with almost nonexistent middle pack. -
I didn't realized that Charlie M has tactical nukes disguised as HE shells...... GG I guess.. Edit: nvm mistery solved
-
Loyang Hp 14600 of that 75% is 10950 and I got 11600 . And it was one shell. He was tucked behind an island at B capping . The way I see it, the shell took some Hp off him and then the splash damage reached her magazines. But like I said, I didn't noticed the Det "award" in that moment, only the Devstrike and when I looked at the detailed report I saw only one shell. One lucky hit.
-
Nah....I didn't see in game the Det "award" and I didn't recall getting for it a Devstrike as a thing. The dd seemed healthy (11K) so I was puzzled . After I posted I saw the reason.

Way to go Wedgie , way to go. So not only the team line up was reduced for whatever braindead reason, but also CV's are included, which even in 7v7 was deemed retarded. The maps are the same, the tiers are the same...... just way to go to frakk up the only remaining refugee from the newly introduced abominations. You truly hate your playerbase no joke.....conducting all sorts of social experiments on them....

Way to go Wedgie, frakkin up ranked.....
Andrewbassg replied to Andrewbassg's topic in General Discussion
Yo ....I almost forget. One more thing which I found as missing is a more detailed explanation about how map control works. I mean all the elements are there, but.... it doesn't explain it, practically. Edit: Btw I'm still laughing... -

Yo.......you really made my day with this comment .... Certainly isn't Nyquist–Shannon. but , ...... after 10 mins I'm still laughing, so .....GJ Edit: Oh yes I did. There are good advices in it, however it didn't told me almost anything new. What I found as missing from it is the call to play the ship of your choosing according to its strengths. Still what I liked most from it is when it says don't underestimate the time you need to sunk a ship. Edit2: Still.... don't be upset if from now on I will address you exclusively with... yo My yoga teacher disguised as a cab driver told me to do that -
Ranked: What have been your experiences in the different leagues?
Andrewbassg replied to The_Angry_Admiral's topic in General Discussion
I'm in Silver on both NA and EU. The intention was to farm (I want the Weimar on Eu too and to get some permacamos) so..... The qualifications (particularly on EU) were the most horrible experiences I ever had in Ranked. Some of the teams were.....ugh.... I think a big part the problem were the maps, specifically the unfamiliarity with them ( still one of them is a T5-6 map ) and the reduced line ups coupled with the inclusion of Cv's and the unpredictability of line ups. -
Way to go Wedgie, frakkin up ranked.....

No :).It is much more complicated and the medium is a bit..... ill suited for this.. But just an example: history is actually human history not a strategy game played by AI. Decoupling historical facts from the human factor and treating them just as dry facts is incredibly wrong, because it wont give us the crucial why, thus preventing us from actually learning from it, We know that "it happened". but why it happened is the most important question. It is the next level. That's why it is of paramount importance to include the human factor and the human experience in every scientific field which deals with humans, no matter how inconvenient and counterproductive it may seem. Still.... it was good one :) -

Good, we do agree on things!!. It is absolutely not a joke that in 2022 we have such people and on such scale. But that illuminates a series of much bigger problems. Chief amongst them the complete decoupling of the academia ( both in a very broad sense and scale) from the ordinary human and his reality. And while statistical analysis will reveal this fact, it won't give an adequate explanation as for why this is happening, thus it wont help solving this, quite crucial, problem. And sadly this works both ways, deepening the rifts. Coz there are many. I know that "numbering people works". We have plenty of historical references for that (and they also should act as cautionary tales)...... However it doesn't work predicting people's actions, let alone that of individuals. Nor their impact on society. People are persons. Statistical analysis is just one side of the coin. Using it solely for predictions (because lets say of the unavailability of other data) is simply... wrong. That's not a bad assessment. However it is not that simple. For example, one can use a nuclear device to dig a hole (because it absolutely could do that) however it is also absolutely not the best tool for it. In a similar fashion a jackhammer is a very capable, potent and useful tool. But not for crafting acoustic guitars. Both creates other sets of problems on their own. That's a good explanation and assessment . And also it seems that you are already aware of what is the primary problem using this on individuals. I know. You talk from the perspective of a data scientist and I'm.... not.:) I'm talking from the perspective of human experience and personal experience. I'm not diminishing the science behind it and its role, however I'm telling you, it is used out of its place. Statistical analysis doesn't exist without humans however humans very much could exist without it. The role of science is to explain to us our surroundings, thus in extension (and if possible) to make our life easier. Oh......I don't want to "win". I'm educating and "winning" is actually counterproductive towards that goal.
