    Mountain Range map and Camping

I find it more frustrating when half the team heads for A and then gets stuck on that side of the map while everyone on the BC side dies.

Top tier matches don't feel like ships anymore

Which is fair enough. You're happy with how things work now. But you could just say that, instead of implying that someone wishing matches were a bit more dynamic is synonymous with them being "way worse at playing the actual game than they think they are". Which is why I qualified my statement by saying "for a lot of cruisers" and not "for cruisers". Being in the open in the US and RN CLs is certainly a ... risky proposition. And when you get down to it, the point of this thread sort of boils down to the question of whether all (or at least most) ships should be able to work reasonably well in open water, at speed. It's not a question of being a good or bad player (I'm pretty sure you can find players of all skill levels who will prefer both of those answers), but a game design question. Personally, I think some normalization of the damage model could be beneficial for the game, mainly to open up a bit more room to take calculated risks. Currently, the possible outcomes of a "risky" play ranges from "absolutely nothing" to "immediate destruction", which tends to put a crimp on anyone's desire to take any kind of risk at all.

    Ovechkin Missions Stage 5

This. I had almost 800 secondary hits the first time I took that ship out. Heck, if you hadn't completed it already, the Svyatozar is awesome for main battery hits and module damage.

    MUSASHI credits

The Kobayashi camos (Roma, Kii and Ashitaka) are basically the same as the T10 permacamos (but on lower tier ships, of course): -50% operating costs, +20% credits, +100% exp. I have the Kii with the Kobayashi camo, but I haven't played it enough times to say anything concrete about how it compares to the Musashi. Gut feeling tells me I tend to make more in the Musashi, but that's probably mostly down to me doing more average damage in the Musashi.

Top tier matches don't feel like ships anymore

Alright, I'll bite. 1) Do you consider it a problem that so much of high tier gameplay is spent more or less stationary in or around cover? 2) If yes, why do you think it's so? 3) Again if yes, what do you consider a good solution? I mean, to be blunt: For a lot of cruisers in particular, a "mistake" is often as simple as "being in open water for any length of time". That's not exactly conducive to fast and dynamic gameplay. This is one of those ideas that seems good on paper until you dig into it a bit. How would this work in practice? I mean, dispersion is determined at the moment you fire, but the speed of the target can in some cases vary quite wildly from when you pull the trigger until the shot lands. DD drivers will often use speed variations as well as turns to avoid fire. A british cruiser (or Des Moines with the legendary upgrade) can go from standstill to full speed in less time than it takes a salvo from longer range to arrive. It'll certainly lead to some rather odd situations where the accuracy-vs-target-speed relationship sort of breaks down. And besides, stationary or slowly moving targets already are easier to hit, since they can't actively dodge. I'm not sure if there's any huge value in making it even simpler. I mean, usually when you can't hit a stationary target it's because there's terrain in the way... (Speaking of which, it does occasionally cheese me off that gun arcs are different when you are locked onto a target and when you're not. So many times when I can fire at a target behind an island if it's spotted, but not when it goes unspotted...)

Pretty sure Izumo's 'C' turret has worse forward firing angles than the 'X' turret on the Yamasashi-sisters.

Top tier matches don't feel like ships anymore

Well... part of the problem is that "mistakes" are punished so hard that nobody dares to take any chances...

    Isnt fire overrated?

Personally, I just can't wait to be one of 20 supporting actors while four BBs slug it out for all the glory. I mean, this is really going to motivate me to play cruisers and DDs more than I do now...
  9. No problem. I didn't realize myself until I looked at the post game screens and went "hang on, that nick rings a bell". Otherwise I would have said hi in game.

    Isnt fire overrated?

And how many times have people reminded you that the cruiser line in question has AP with improved bounce angles?

    Isnt fire overrated?

Not to mention taking about half an hour to reach top speed, and being so slow to turn that if they turned to avoid torpedoes, they'd be out of the battle for easily an hour. Sure, let's give DDs realistically limited torpedoes. And while we're at it, let's give BBs realistic maneuverability with which to dodge them.
  12. I took my Kii out to earn some cash yesterday, and bumped into @EgyptOverseer on the same team. It ended in a loss, unfortunately, with me doing ok until an enemy Scharnhorst player was smart and anticipated that I would turn out to avoid the torpedoes I assumed were on the way. Well played by him. Egypt was in the Algerie, I think, and did a good job defending our cap until he got overwhelmed. Then today I took the Izumo out for a spin and had @Phlogistoned in the Missouri on my team. We did a pretty decent job.

    Kitty Purrfurst code

Scattered through the subtitles: AREUKITTENMEFURIEND 2018-10-11 Second code, courtesy of @Klopirat: PURRFECTFURREAL It might not actually be needed, some users have reported the second mission activating automatically. Still, can't hurt. Could be it just starts the second mission for those who didn't activate the first code. Or WG just goofed. Second mission is win five games, gives ten Juliet Charlie signals (thanks @BrusilovX ) 2018-10-18 Third video, third code: I got the same code but haven't checked it yet. However, it looks like the mission triggers automatically if you've redeemed one of the previous codes. The mission (again supplied by @BrusilovX) is to get 15 captured/assisted in capture/defended ribbons, and the reward is ten (10) November Echo Setteseven flags 2018-10-25 Fourth video up, the code is MEOWNIFICENTSHIP. I assume it works just like the previous ones (IE only does something if you haven't activated any of the previous ones), but I'm putting it up anyway. More details on the rewards:

Sunray in the darkness -> Svyatozar -> Load AP and press "T" when there are enemy cruisers nearby.

    Le Terrible: Short Review

To be honest, if this thing just had two or three charges of British DD smoke, I'd be much less skeptical. She certainly seems interesting, but I have my doubts about her being 30€ interesting.
  18. Eh. It's an ok offer if you log in often anyway, but given how limited use doubloons are it's not really a big deal. You basically end up paying half the cost with your time. As for other daily events and stuff... Dunno, I think WG are missing the point. Since they typically require T5+ ships, they're not helping them retain new players, and there's so much of it that it's kind of offputting if you've already played the game a while. Sure, I do play more thanks to the events, but I also tire of the game more quickly. I feel they're taking two steps forwards and then one step behind all the time. I liked the RN arc to begin with, but the last two weeks they've been moving back into "annoyingly grindy" territory. And we're not really talking about huge changes, IMO they just need to reduce the number of necessary tasks to get to the next stage by one, and it would have been fine. But as it currently stands, I'm starting to get irritated by it (like with previous events). Oh, and can we get rid of the win requirement for daily missions? The only thing it does is make losses even more irritating than they'd normally be.

    Which Legendary Upgrade to Pursue?

I can see the Des Moines legendary working if you run a spotter plane build. You lose some attacks for circumstance bonuses to dodge.

According to a certain little mouse, Yamato's isn't really worth it either.

Dude. Default forum font colours. Please.
  22. Sure. I mean, when you're going balls deep in a Tirpitz, then your own team actually dares to shoot at the targets you're spotting since they consider you a good enough distraction.
  23. Yup. There's a separate thread for it. Could be it's a screwup as Aragathor suggests and it dropped early, of course.
  24. Seeing as it's in the store already, the NDA seems kind of superfluous at this point....
