    My 1st tier 10......

Well, I went for the Mino as my first T10, but then I'm probably a bit of a masochist, because it certainly receives paddlin's if you're not careful (and you have to go through the Neptune, which basically bends over to get spanked by everyone if anyone so much as catches a peek at her). Second one was the Yamato.

In need of a new Mouse

Picked up this one (well, the updated "Hero" version) myself when my G5 started going wonky (playing Overwatch when your mouse randomly disconnects for ten seconds at a time is something of a frustrating experience) and I can only echo the quoted sentiment. It's very comfortable in my (admittedly fairly large) hands, precise and I like the weight of it. It doesn't have the insane amount of buttons you can get on the Naga Trinity, but personally I don't really end up using more than two of the three available thumb buttons anyway. I see some people criticize the naga trinity for "scraping" and not being very comfortable on a stiff mouse mat (IE the type of mouse mat I prefer), whereas the G502 slides like a perfectly smoothed curling stone.

    [Poll] CV's Rework vs Rollback

It's always a valid option. Now, WG will naturally be very hesitant to do this. Pretty much everyone is subject to the sunk cost fallacy no matter how well they're intellectually aware of it, and as a software developer myself I know how frustrating it can be when you finally acknowledge that months of work are basically wasted. But they can do it. And depending on how CV player numbers (and player numbers in general) develop, it may be the right thing to do.

    The elephant in the room

I suspect OP's problem is more related to BB lack of accuracy. No, I'm not joking, but I'm certainly not arguing for any buffs either. But if you're playing a maneuverable cruiser in a kiting situation, you can often easily dodge salvos from other cruisers because they actually go where they're aimed. Whereas if a BB is shooting at you, even if you clear their point of aim by a good margin by the time the shells arrive, you can often take a good chunk of damage from one or two shells that have decided to wander off.

    Now for everyone to see...

Yeah, this as well. Also, since I'm still not used to the "fixed" bloom reset, I sometimes trigger radar upon being spotted after rounding an island or something because I forget that I still have full gun bloom.

    Now for everyone to see...

To be fair, some of the radar ships have a ton of other consumables as well, so it might just be fat fingers. While I don't have too many high tier radar ships, I can honestly say I've lost count of the times I've smoked up and repaired at the same time.
  7. Speaking as someone stuck on the T4 CVs, I suspect that it doesn't exactly help that there's always so much crap going on that: a) Requires T5+ ships b) Requires non-CVs. I think I'll be stuck on the Hosho/Langley for a long time, because I can't see when I'll get the time to play a couple of T4s for long enough to grind a total of 142k exp in them.

    I'll never play CV's

I said "dull", not "repetitive". Something can be repetitive but still exciting. That does not apply to the CVs.

    I'll never play CV's

I can't say I'll never play cvs. I mean, I have unlocked the tier 4s, and tried playing them. But the CV gameplay loop is really quite dull, so I can't see myself making an effort to actually grind any of the lines. I'll probably just trot them out once in a blue moon for variety.
  10. Aforementioned Fuso is right out, however. I got most of the needed kills in the Atlanta and Kidd, but I have quite a few other appliccable ships so I could get some variety. Even managed four air kills in the Nicholas against a Hosho who was afk the entire match. I got close enough at the end of the game to kill a squadron of auto-launched fighters.
  11. Took my Lightning out for a spin and bumped into @valrond in the Duke of York on the other team. Sorry mate, you just didn't carry hard enough. (I was a bit too busy dodging planes and gunfire to say hello)

    Alaska Credit Earning

The Yamasashi sisters can afford to hang a bit further back than some other BBs. They're rather sluggish and have slow turning turrets (Musashi more so than Yamato), which means that they can easily get out-maneuvered in close quarters. Simultaneously, they have fairly tight dispersion (as well as, in Yammy's case, the best sigma value of any battleship in the game) and good energy retention at range. Personally I'd say I get the most out of them when I try to stay at a range between 10 and 18 km. Yes, it's hilarious when you occasionally manage to chunk some poor schmuck in a broadside Montana for half his health from 25 km range at the very start of a match, but it's not optimal to stay at that range throughout the game. And sure, you can absolutely murder another BB that wanders in front of your guns at point blank range, but you can't really expect that to happen. As for positioning, they can be stupidly tanky if you know how to use their armour and avoid taking flanking shots. I prefer to start the game by going a bit out on one flank, maybe about 1/3 of the way in from the map border and angle somewhat towards the middle of the map. That way you've usually got a good starting point for getting some use out of your guns, and the enemy probably won't be in a position to chunk you for massive amounts of damage. On a 3 CP domination map, it's often useful to position so that you can cover two of the capture circles. If you're something like 10-15 km from the centres of both of the closest capture circles, you've got a good starting point. You can fire on both of those caps, and if you need to reposition you're not so far away from everything else that the game is over by the time you see some action.
  13. Not sure I should be giving people ideas, but a semi-competently executed yolo-rush in a DD can often score you a "Devastating strike" and "It's just a flesh wound" in one go
  14. While it was definitely hilarious the one or two times I killed someone with fire while sailing the Neptune, I think I'll stick to BBs for that mission.

RN "Exeter" Marathon (starting March 1st)

Nothing is a problem if the opposition is obliging enough.

RN "Exeter" Marathon (starting March 1st)

Eeeeh. I'm a bit miffed that it's max T8 for some of these, because shooting down 30 planes and scoring 1000 main battery hits would be... a tad faster in the Minotaur. And while 30 plane kills can be achieved in one Cleveland game, you have to be a bit lucky with the opposition to accomplish that.
  17. Cheers, and thanks for the game Not going to pretend it was my best game ever in the Mino, but not my worst either. Spent a lot of time spotted by aircraft and dodging fire for that reason, but at least it netted me a fair few aircraft kills.

Carriers 0.8.0-3 Please WG stop punish us!

Why, though? I mean, as mentioned above, it's not really different from how it was in the RTS version. And if you can lose 80-90 planes and still keep attacking, why is it a problem?

    British CV`s - Im soooo excited !

Aside from the fact that skip bombing is a completely different technique to the level bombing we see the RN air groups perform, that statement is at best debatable. Skip bombing was a reasonably effective low cost alternative to torpedo bombing against merchant shipping and lightly armed surface combatants. Not the kind of opposition that's typically found in this game.

    British CV`s - Im soooo excited !

Leaving aside the whole "level bombing in naval combat is stupid" argument, I think they look about as dull as the other reworked CVs only with one slightly different gimmick.

Carriers 0.8.0-3 Please WG stop punish us!

You can defend yourself against other ships by firing back at them, angling/maneuvering or going unspotted. You can only defend yourself against aircraft with AA that is depleted over the course of a match (or maybe with maneuvering if the CV player isn't very good). Make AA indestructible and more powerful, and we can talk about unlimited plane reserves.
