  1. I'd just like to point out that the two last stages of the event both last until 29th of March, and have the exact same restrictions on ships. So it's entirely possible to just postpone part three, maybe spend some time speeding through the grind from Acasta to Icarus, and then do part three and four in parallel. EDIT: Never mind, I just saw the requirement that you must have completed the previous one first. Bugger.

    March Combat Missions: British Power

According to this article, stage 4-3 is "Over any number of battles; sink 3 enemy ships.". According to the other article, it's "Destroy 3 enemy ships in a single battle". So, which one is it?
  3. Ah, right. It was used in the British DD event, I remember now. Well, that's a shame, because she's an excellent boat for these missions, and well worth having if you're going up the UK DD tree anyway. Some achievements are quite easy to get, especially if you don't mind being a bit dumb (your team may not appreciate it, however). A DD can with a bit of luck fairly easily get first strike, devastating strike and it's just a flesh wound in a single enemy encounter Dreadnought and Fireproof are fairly common occurrences in battleships as well. You just have to be quite not suicidal enough so that you manage to survive. Warspite gets me Dreadnought every second game or so. Just use the premium heal consumable.
  4. 8 km - 20% of 8 km = 6.4 km. I suspect someone is running torpedo acceleration on their german DD skipper and forgot about it.
  5. Since I have T6+ ships from every Royal Navy tech tree line (as well as a heap of premiums), I'm not exactly in a position to complain. Can't you get Gallant for coal in the arsenal? Or am I misremembering? She's a good firestarter and has pretty good torps. Different from the tech tree RN DDs in play style (she was released long before they were planned), but should work well with the same captain build.

    Naval Aviation containers

Seven out of the first fourteen items I got were "800 Naval Air Squadron" Still not finished, but I think one or two duplicates more will allow me to complete the collection at least.

When is the next free capt retraining?

If the release date is the 28th as I assume, then I suspect the reset period will be from the 28th of March to early morning on the 4th April. But that's just my guess based on their regular schedule of server updates and events.

When is the next free capt retraining?

I don't know if they've stated exact dates, but it'll be after the release of 0.8.2. I would guess they'll run it the first week after patch release, and I think the patch is slated for release in two weeks' time (so, Thursday 28th). EDIT: Here's what was posted in the dev blog forum:

[PSA] Giulio Cesare Testing and Premium Ships Status

Maybe I should actually try playing my GC a bit more. Anyway, I agree that you folded a bit too quickly on this. It wouldn't have hurt to at least let the CCs and other testers have a go at her for a month or so to see how she actually performed in her T6 incarnation. As others here, I don't think the issue is so much with rebalancing premiums as it is with the refund policy for those who don't like the rebalanced version. And personally, I wouldn't mind seeing a change in policy when it comes to rebalancing premiums. E.g. I would very much like to have the Belfast. Not because of how she performs in game (in fact, it kind of annoys me that she is in the form she is, because I still think she should have torpedo tubes like her real world sister ship), but because she's the Belfast, dammit! And if she could be rebalanced into a form that allows her to be sold again, I'd love to pick her up.

Saipan refund - are we being serious?

Well, you won't lose it. But it may end up being essentially useless unless you decide you have far too many doubloons lying around.

Saipan refund - are we being serious?

I don't know. The article isn't entirely clear on it. I assume that it will either just be shoved down the line to the Ryujo or (best case) you'll actually get it as free exp. You'll basically just have to see what the prompt tells you that you'll get if you try to refund the Shokaku.

Saipan refund - are we being serious?

Exp on ships remains even if you sell them, so I'm guessing it's been applied to the Shokaku. If you open the menu for converting elite ship exp to free exp, it lists how much you have on what ships. Check the Shokaku there? Also, is the Shokaku not shown as "Researched" at least in the Aircraft Carriers inventory screen?

Saipan refund - are we being serious?

Did you go through the port view or the inventory, though? If you just sell it through the regular port view, it's presumably treated like any other ship. The "unresearch" option is in the inventory (accessed through the top left corner menu).

Saipan refund - are we being serious?

Yeah, I saw that. I'd misread it the first time I read the article.

Saipan refund - are we being serious?

Yeah, you should get the credits. I also see that I misinterpreted the article about it the first time I read it. The exp is transferred to the first lower tier ship in the same category. So if you refund the Haku, the exp will be refunded to the Shokaku. Not that it makes much of a difference, but maybe you get everything as free exp if you then decide to "un-research" the Shokaku (assuming you had it before 0.8.0)? I'm not entirely sure, the article isn't that clear. https://worldofwarships.eu/en/news/game-updates/cv8-which-nation-to-choose/#exchange-rules I think the prompt in the inventory shows you exactly what you will get before you confirm that you want to get rid of it, though. So as long as you don't have fat fingers, there shouldn't be any risk in checking in the game client.

Saipan refund - are we being serious?

Yes, but you won't get free exp, only regular exp that is transferred to the Hashidate. So, as I said, a bit pointless.

Saipan refund - are we being serious?

Assuming you had them before 0.8.0 was released, you can refund tech tree CVs for free exp and credits, and premium CVs for doubloons. CVs researched after 0.8.0 can be refunded for exp on the respective national T1 ship (which probably isn't that interesting). It's in the inventory section.

    Just ragesold the Yugumo

Raised from the dead not just once, but twice. Impressive.
  19. Uglesett

So what is the consensus on CVs ?

For that to be a viable option, WG would have had to make the T4 CV gameplay more exciting than watching paint dry, and not have constant events excluding T4 ships....

Saipan refund - are we being serious?

I think it was MrConway. But I'd like to point out that a certain person in this thread who's actually good at CVs doesn't seem to mind AA at all.

Giulio Cesare stays as it is + balance of other premiums

It's in the dev blog forum section as well, you know... https://forum.worldofwarships.eu/topic/115177-psa-giulio-cesare-testing-and-premium-ships-status/

RN "Exeter" Marathon (starting March 1st)

According to the news article it's three kills over any number of battles. Where did you get single battle from? As for the rest.... the CLs actually tend to score a ton of citadels vs bot cruisers, so I think I'll be taking my Edinburgh into coop. As for achievements, you can get a couple of devastating strikes in a good DD game, especially if you go seal clubbing. Still peeved that the Mino isn't applicable, though

    HMS Furious and her planes

We've been there, unfortunately the closest thing we have to an official answer is "probably not".
